STILL The Best Vehicle I have ever owned!
I now have 145,000 on my 2013 KIA Soul since my first review and I still have absolutely NO problems with the engine, exterior nor the interior! I have only replaced the battery (twice) along with the fluids at regular intervals...ALL the belts and hoses and even the spark plugs are ORIGINAL! No problem with the A/C either! I still get great gas mileage with no rough idling so if it ain't broke, don't fix it! If drive mainly in the city, only have driven a couple of long interstate trips . My original front brake pads were replaced at 82,000, I STILL have my original back pads...my original factory Nexen tires lasted 86,000 (bye-bye Goodyear!)...I have had both head lights and both tail lights replaced, the original wipers lasted 3 years before I replaced them! So even the body is holding up beautifully! I cannot say a bad word about this little gem I own. My 6'6" neighbor fitted well into it wearing his derby with still an inch to spare, plenty of head room! I simply LOVE this car and can honestly say it's the BEST vehicle I have ever owned...AND...this is my FOURTH updated review and I STILL feel the same!! I'm not trading it in! **Since my previous review, I had a small recall on my steering coupling that was replaced**

It's wonderful
I traded in a 2005 Honda Civic for the 2013 Kia Plus, and I am in love! It is exactly what I was looking for in a car - it's small, but spacious; the back seats fold down and offer a ton of room in the back. I am able to take my bike or my two yellow labs in the car with me no problem! It's got great response when I step on the gas, excellent brakes (and I love the brake assist). Also, mine came with an extra feature to turn on the car from outside, so I can warm it up in the mornings or start the AC, and it stays locked and running, and if someone tries to take it, it will automatically shut off without the keys. It's seriously WONDERFUL!

My Review
I love this auto. So very roomy inside it really surprised me. So comfortable to get inside and out. I owned a 1960 Austin Healey 3000. I always compare this autos steering to that car. It handles beautifully. My friends are always very surprised at the comfort. The large engine is really zippy. I just have no complaints against this auto.

Pros and cons
Pros: roomy car in a small package Still running at 103,000 miles Body in great shape - kept outdoors on driveway Paid off and inexpensive car Like the alien green color - easy to spot Sits higher Very little blindspots Reviewed highly by many reports Cons: Car was only a year old and the Engine light continued to come on for well over 18 months - took it to the dealer 13 times, finally resolved with a program update although there were lots of comments from mechanics about ‘bad gas’. Really?! I felt blamed for problem when it was a program problem. Annoyed. Horrible in snow, rain Loud road noise even with better tires. Louder than the radio Recall on engine after had it fixed for $1800 It took several months for reimbursement Mileage is considerably lower than sticker. Probably 24/30. There is mileage reimbursement program that does provide $ back. Shakes when accelerating, bumpy ride on less than perfect roads (which is most in PA) Sometimes stutters when accelerating I am a person who drives a car until it is done. This car seems to still be in good shape - we’ll see how much longer it lasts. I will not buy another Kia. I have spent way more time in the service department than ever for any other car I have owned. Received notice of another recall on the driving column? But only will be replaced if it breaks.

Hate To Say Good-Bye
The 2013 Soul is a great car. The new ones are fantastic, but the combination of this engine with this transmission makes the 2013 a real winner.
