Used 2014 Jeep Patriot Latitude 4dr SUV 4WD (2.4L 4cyl 6A) Consumer Reviews
One and done!
Bought this car in 2018 with 25k miles on it. From the get go it did horrible in the snow, it slides under braking and traction is weak. Replaced tires and same result. 4wd doesnt work all the time (4wd! keeps flashing on dash even tho all sensors are working correctly) and when it does theres no difference. Acceleration is horrible, hitting 6k to 7k rpm when getting on the highway just to catch up with traffic, which makes fuel economy bad. Gave it 3 stars because it hasnt given me any mechanics issues other than regular maintenance. Im at 105k miles and im currently looking for a replacement, all done.

Don't expect a good company, or product
I've owned a 2014 Jeep Patriot for a little over a year and they've reminded me multiple times why I'll never purchase a Jeep again. As a few others have stated, they simply don't stand behind their product. I had an issue with the VIN being manufactured incorrectly where the vehicle wasn't able to be licensed (or legally driven). I've already spent a week without a car, am told it's going to take months to adjust the plate, and Jeep has repeatedly refused to help provide a replacement, or solution. You'll be treated better if you're trying to return a bag of half-eaten food to Wal-Mart, than if you have an issue with your Jeep, and for a $20,000 product, that's completely unacceptable.

If I could give zero I would
I got this car with no research or really considering another vehicle, our only car died on us and I needed something that day so I picked what I thought was the cutest on the lot. Big mistake. I will never buy a jeep again, period. This car has been nothing but problems almost since day 1. I’ve had it for 3 years, it’s at 76,000 miles and it’s had over $12,000 worth of work on it NOT including your regular maintenance things. I will NEVER make this mistake again and I hope none of you will. Ignore the good reviews on this one, the fact it has a 6.2 overall rating on cars news should say it all. If you really just wanna waste your time and money then this is the vehicle for you, look no farther! I’ll list a few of my favorite fixes so you know what to expect, leaking sun roof, throttle body, throttle body again a year later, motor mounts twice, battery terminals twice, every single part of my breaks, radiator, others I can’t remember the names of, it’s a long list. I’ve put 50,000 miles on it since I had it so I would say that much work and money isn’t really “normal” for vehicles. After doing some light research Jeeps made certain males and years WITH bad parts so other parts go wrong, hence me having to replace things over and over. Also, can’t stand the lag, that’s apparently normal for Jeeps, I mean foot to floor the car is still gonna think about if it wants to go or not. You aren’t winning a foot race in this let alone making the light. Now all this negative I will give it a few positives, it is a really cute car (to me), I absolutely love the exterior and interior look, there’s an actual outlet in the center console (that is pretty cool and it has certainly been useful), the lighted cup holders, electronics and Bluetooth are simple to use, that’s about it. One more major positive I was rear ended pretty hard at a complete stop on the interstate, her car (a bmw) was obliterated mine ate a couple scrap metal pieces from hers and drove away with about an inch gash on the bender. I bought it used from Carmax so don’t have any dealing with the dealership stories but buyer beware on this one, do your research before you buy and check out your local Carmax, $4,000 for a 6yr/160,000 miles warranty, mine has obviously paid for itself a few times so well worth it.

Patriots are trash
I’ve had my 2014 patriot for 5 years. Rear end went bad, radio stopped working, window switches stopped working, rust on every door despite waxing twice a year. Constant problems with cam position sensors. Absolute junk do not waste your money on a Chrysler product.
