Jeep
A great SUV for my wife. Its small size makes it easy for her to handle and extremly tight turns make it a sinch to park. Fun car!

Love my Liberty
Great handling, comfortable seats. Good gas mileage for the gutsy-performing V-6 Turning diameter is great and in 4- wheel drive will go almost anywhere.
A True Jeep...
I love it! Jeep is an acquired taste. If you aren't a Jeep-lover, don't buy it! Best off-road performance I've seen in it's class. Handling is better than I expected on- road.
Solid Vehicle
Bought Jeep new in Jan 04. Had transmission issue shortly after getting it but was fixed under warranty and never had any further maint. issues at all. Just had to trade it in for van since 3 kids will not fit in it.Was great vehicle, made several long distance trips up and down East coast, and cross state trips. Had plenty of power, decent gas mileage avg @20MPG. Did my best to follow Manufacturers maint schedule. Besides hiccup with trans. had absolutely nothing go wrong with it at all. Held up very well was very happy with it overall and would recommend to anybody.Very fun to drive.
good pick
comfortable, good accereration and very reasonable price. can tow easily and the handling is prety good too. it is a great value, and tops in its cals.
Love my Jeep!
My last Jeep was a 1994 Wrangler... loved that Jeep! However, I'm in sales and wanted a nicer looking vehicle to arrive at clients in. Last March we checked out the Liberty for my husband but he had his heart set on an Xterra. This Jan I decided that I had to have a Renegade!
Great Purchase
Great ride... very glad I decided to buy it. Handles great in snow and rain!!! Fun to drive long distances. Plenty of room and has great pick up.
mr
we used to have a pontiac trans am. and after buying this jeep i wouldnt drive anything else
Jeep Sport
Just bought this on the advice of a friend who has had hers for about a year says it's the best car she has ever driven or owned.
jeep liberty sport
the best 4wd i have driven. had a blaze never again. the jeep dealer was very helpful and did not try to sell me something i did not want.
Great ride
I enjoy being higher off the ground. Very fun & comfortable to drive. I live in an area with poor road conditions. so it's less bumpy. Costs a lot in gas. Love the V6 -- great for the highway. Helped a lot when I was moving.
Way to go Toledo!
We traded in my wife's Toyota RAV4 for this Jeep largely due to Toyota's poor customer service in Hawaii. I couldn't drive or ride in the RAV4 because it made me carsick for some reason. So the Jeep was a good trade. I must admit we spent way more than we should have since dealers in Hawaii are a big rip off! The only problem we have had with the Liberty was a flasher that went out last spring $38 part from the dealership and I put it in myself in under 20 minutes. I would prefer better tires than the Goodyears that are on it now. It's good to see that Jeep is still making a good product and keeping Americans employed in Toledo, Ohio. Thanks MOPAR for our family car.
I hope this car lasts forever!
I love this thing. I want it to last forever. I have zero complaints after almost 6 years of ownership. Edmunds.com helped me make the decision to buy so I thought I'd finally come back and pay it forward. I will say, I've had to replace parts that I haven't seen die out so early in other cars. I've replaced the part that keeps your windows up. I've replaced both front speakers. I've replaced my belts and hoses. I've replaced my battery a few times. Still, at the end of the day, my Liberty Limited is holding up quite nicely and no matter what car I end up renting or trying out, I always find myself more comfortable in the Jeep.
Nearly Perfect!
Great SUV if you are looking for a manual transmission, but with a number of luxury appointments...including leather interior. Handles well, and SUPER fun to drive.
gr8truck
I love the feel of driving this car and the ability to switch to 4WD when I need it. Was considering a Honda CRV but glad I made this choice. Headroom is good, plenty of room for child car seat(s when necessary) and it hauls what I need. Very comfortable except the shape of the seat back. Everything is in the right spot.
Erika's Jeep Liberty
So far this winter, have been out in the ice and snow three3 times. Th Liberty Performed flawlessly, only wish it came with Bridgestone Revo tires. Really like the style and the solid feel. Compared with the other SUV's its size, I must say that the suspension is a lot more beefier than the other brands. The Honda CRV looks like a toy compared to the Liberty. So far, after 1000 miles I am very pleased with all aspects of my new car. (Especally the heated seats!)
Thrilled in Indy with Jeep Liberty
I had a Chrysler Concorde for 3 years. I had wanted a bigger car, I was driving a 88 Sundance (can you tell my father worked for chrysler 38yrs in indy. I felt I needed something more family and professional. It was wonderful to drive, but it was just not me. It made me feel old and it was too big. So when the Liberty came out--it had my name written all over it! And the limited is the bomb. I have a gold package too! I get compliments daily. And I still have all the luxuries of the Concorde and it sporty like the Cheeoke or Darango. I'll keep this car at least 10yrs.
Jeep Liberty fun to own
You can't buy a better vehicle for the money. Its a ton of fun to drive , with lots of power and plenty of room.
2004 Jeep Libery is great.
I've heard that this Jeep is thirsty at the pump. My new Jeep is getting 19.8 mpg driving in the city. Maybe that is bad, but it is good to me. Someone else said when you close the back glass you leave finger prints on it. My back glass has a plastic piece on it to avoid that. Plenty of head room.
Loving It!
My experience with this vehicle started with being treated with respect by the dealership. I was treated well, and walked away with everything I wanted for the price I needed. Knowing you got a great deal helps you to enjoy your vehicle, which I absolutely love. The only feature I am not thrilled with is the gas mileage due to the fact that I commute quite a distance each day to work and gas prices are at an all time high.
My liberty
Went from a grand to liberty and am very happy with the result. Great manuverability.
Great looker
Well I have to admit Iam a first time Jeep onwer and I have to say I am loven it. Great feel, and it's a SUV you can d anything with. We have a cabin up in the woods and live in the city, this SUV give you the best of both worlds.
Liberty Means Freedom
Liberty means the freedom to be different than the rest. If you want 30-plus miles per gallon, buy a Neon. If you want perfect road manners and car-like handling from your SUV, buy the Escape. And if you want to look just like everybody else on the road, your choices of cute-utes are plenty... No doubt you'll be happy with them too, because you got exactly what you were looking for-- a big car that's shaped like an SUV. If, however, you want real SUV performance mated to civilized handling and some rugged, good looks-- the Liberty is not only the best choice-- but really, it's the only way to go.
I love my Liberty
I have only had my Liberty for approx. 4 weeks, but I LOVE IT!
dont get the 4 cyl
nice truck for the money, I have the 4cyl 5 spd man trans, truck cannot get out of its own way. Other than that, I like it
Great Jeep
I love my Liberty!!!!!! Couldn't ask for a better vehicle! Who ever came up with the body style had great style themselves. It's a looker and it get the looks
Gas Milege, fogging of window
Love my jeep, but it does eat the gas and since the gas prices have gone up, I have to fill up every couple of days. I have also notice that while on rainy days the backseat windows fog up very heavily, even with defrost on.
Renegade
Seats tooooo small. Gas economy a joke. Sticker promises 17-21. You get only13-17. Air conditioners vents badly designed
jeeps rule
this vehicle has a nice fit inside and out the v6 is very quite compared to the old inline 6 they used in the amc days. it has a car like ride which is a first for a jeep. my old cheeroke sounded like a truck and hopped and skipped down the freeway every time, but it was a very dependable machine it passed many broken down fords in its day
So far so good!!
I love the overall apperance of this automobile. It is so cute. The interior is really spacious and comfy. I had only owned cars, 3 of them, and was getting fed up with all of them riding and pretty much looking the same. I traded in my 2002 Dodge Stratus R/T, horrible car i was so dissapointed with that car. I am so far very happy with my purchase, i like the ride it drives much better than my old car, and i like the fact that it has very little road noise. Love the white gage faces and love the clean, neat dash fixtures. Jeep is all around so far the nicest automobile i have owned!!
poor american quality
with about 300 miles on vehicle engine light came on took to dealer said it was a transmission code he cleared code and said probably do to the temp change that week but come back if it comes on again next day transmission was slipping took back a shifting switch in the tranny was bad. it still shifts like crap after being fixed its a automatic, over head cpu keep resetting it self to metric 2 to 3 times a week, loud vehicle idles very rough
Our Third Jeep
We have a Grand Cherokee and a Wrangler, so this is our third jeep. All are everything you could want in a vehicle. The Liberty is small enough to be easy to drive, big enough to be OK on comfort, and powerful enough to make it fun.
The jeep liberty rocks
Me & My wife test drove the grand cherokee and the liberty and we both loved the liberty. It feels like it has more power than the cherokee, and the leg room is about the same. It also has more head room. the only thing you lose is cargo space.Plus you can get the liberty limited edition with almost all options for about the same price as a base model cherokee. Theres also plenty of after market upgrades out ther if you like Decking out your ride like I do.
Pray for a good one
From day one, my lemon-flavored Liberty has not been able to drive in a straight line. I have had the vehicle for 5 weeks, and have had it in the dealer's shop 6 times. And I've heard this is not an uncommon problem. On other sites, I have found that there may be a problem with the uni- frame being misaligned from the factory, but the dealer refuses to even look at that. So much for my warranty! Luckily, Texas has very consumer-friendly lemon laws, but I am not happy that it has come to this. My advice: don't buy one without having a mechanic you trust check it out first.
Jeep Liberty Loving It
Good looking well built vehicle. The ride is better than expected, and the reliability so far has been outstanding
Jeep Liberty
Seats are a little hard but otherwise, comfortable. Great visability and excellent turning radius.
Extremely off-road capable
Bought this Jeep brand new in 2004 & has never been in the repair shop once until July 2008, for routine maintenance. When I bought new I had the dealer install the skid plate group, tow hooks & rock rails. I have taken this Jeep off-road many times & it's quite impressive, I believe it's more rugged than most people realize. I should know because I have previously owned a 1946 CJ2-A & also a 1972 CJ-6. I do most of my 4 wheeling in Michigan & I was honestly surprised at some of the muddy situations I was able to get out of. One thing I've noticed as a 43 year old male over the last 4 years, this car is very popular with the woman. In fact my wife loves this car because it's reliable & small
x
Do Own my car since August 02, the 2,5 L Diesel version, and Although it is often reffered to as a soccermoms car It amazes me everytime on as well off road GREAT car !!
I LOVE MY LIBERTY
I LOVE MY LIBERTY.IT IS JUST THE FUNNEST CAR TO DRIVE.I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH ITS HANDLING IN THE SNOW.MY PARENTS WENT OUT AND GOT A LIBERTY ALSO.I WOULD RECOMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
O.K. LIBERTY
I FEEL LIKE I'M TILTED TOWARD THE WINDSHEILD WHEN I'M SITTING DOWN. I MIGHT HAVE TO JUST BREAK IT IN! LOVE THE JEEP LOOK INSIDE. PRETTY COOL!
The Fun Love to Drive
Fun to drive vehicle. Has the heart of a jeep. Handles well in traffic, easy to drive and easy to judge distances. Good commanding view of the road. Buy it you'll like it!
Love It
My Jeep is black with the high contrast interior with leather heated seats. I live in a nothern suburb with lots of dirt roads. Traded in my convertible because it just was not the ride for dirt roads, I used to avoid them. Now with the jeep I try to avoid the paved roads, especially when it rains. The 4- wheel drive is excellent and easy to use and the radio controls on the steering wheel are a nice touch. I have put 4500 miles on it and have not had to go back to the dealer for anything. The only thing that could be better is the fuel economy, I average about 16.5 MPG.
Lovely little suv
Love it, the reson why i brought it is because my daughter had it as a rental. we took it for a drive and fell in love with it, it was my wifes desion to get it and are glad we made it. i was it had the trail rated bage because i own the a 2004
Happy with change
We decided to trade our very nicely equiped Grand Cherokee Ltd. for an 04 2wd Liberty Renegade. Retired, we didn't need the larger vehicle and felt we could live without the thirsty 4.7L. I was concerned about performance going to V-6. Not any more. We are very happy with the Liberty's performance, fuel economy and overall handling.
Just missing a Bag of chips
I hate the window controls, and the remote entry is a bit wierd. Other than that, I love the Jeep Liberty. Even if the gas mileage is way less than I was told at the dealership, it is still better than my last truck.
jeep
This is a great car - I love the way it drives and interior
Liberty Brakes Danger
I brought my third Jeep, a Liberty, in February, 2004. I now have 28,000 miles on it and the rear brake calipers locked and I had to have it fixed somewhere other than the dealer. The wheels were smoking and all they could say is that repairs are only at the dealer. I will never buy another. They just don't care!
Scottish Jeep Cherokee review
Changed to Jeep from LR Freelander for off road ability. Now used extensively offroad in Scotland French Alps. Tiring to drive round town due to weight and control effort required ( manual . Great long distance cruiser- lots of space and very civilised. Chassis build quality is fantastically 'vault' like but surprisingly it's unreliable with fan belt sawing thru badly positioned coolant pipe in first 1000 miles, frayed wire causing warning lights to come on and diesel leaking from injector. Superbly plush suspension offroad though surprisingly low ground clearance at sump means lots of noise when rock hopping though no damage to date.
Love My Jeep
I love my Jeep Liberty. It's fun to drive, is solid and well built and very comfortable.
