I like my Jeep!
I have been driving my 2004 Jeep for four months and have been really pleased with it. I don't mind that it is not "car-like" because if I wanted that, I would have bought a car. It handles well, looks good, and is worth the upgrade to get the Limited. The only down side is the gas mileage, which honestly is deplorable. I don't even get the low sticker MPG of 17/19, which is a shame because I pay for good gas & drive relatively normal speeds. However, if something happened to it, I am positive that I would just go out and buy another one at this point.
Our Third Jeep
We have a Grand Cherokee and a Wrangler, so this is our third jeep. All are everything you could want in a vehicle. The Liberty is small enough to be easy to drive, big enough to be OK on comfort, and powerful enough to make it fun.

Love My Liberty!
I LOVE IT!!! Rides great, not bumpy. Sound system rocks! Driving a "fishbowl" is wonderful because you can see everything around you! I feel very safe in my Liberty!
Jeep Liberty Loving It
Good looking well built vehicle. The ride is better than expected, and the reliability so far has been outstanding
The jeep liberty rocks
Me & My wife test drove the grand cherokee and the liberty and we both loved the liberty. It feels like it has more power than the cherokee, and the leg room is about the same. It also has more head room. the only thing you lose is cargo space.Plus you can get the liberty limited edition with almost all options for about the same price as a base model cherokee. Theres also plenty of after market upgrades out ther if you like Decking out your ride like I do.
Jeep Lib 04
i absolutley love this vehicle... it handles very well. Your getting a very reliable SUV.
Suprise
I was pleasantly surprised by the 2004 Jeep Liberty. It displayed and soild firm ride quality, and great handling habits. The build Quality was also better than I expected. The truck(yes it is a real truck) was what my girlfriend wanted and I pushed against it... however after I drove it I was happyly surprised. I budged much more money for an SUV but this is a great truck for the money, and feels like many of the more expensive less capable trucks

Do Own my car since August 02, the 2,5 L Diesel version, and Although it is often reffered to as a soccermoms car It amazes me everytime on as well off road GREAT car !!
I LOVE MY LIBERTY
I LOVE MY LIBERTY.IT IS JUST THE FUNNEST CAR TO DRIVE.I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH ITS HANDLING IN THE SNOW.MY PARENTS WENT OUT AND GOT A LIBERTY ALSO.I WOULD RECOMEND THEM TO ANYONE.
Go Liberty Go!
I love driving my Libery and it is so comfortable on the highway. The ride is smooth and I feel like a Queen on the road. The gas mileage is a plus because I am not a heavy footed driver. In the snow/icy road conditions it is two thumbs up in getting me to my destination. I am just a happy and satisfied customer who loves her Jeep Liberty.
Great
First Jeep since the Army, great in the snow in PA and holds its own on interstates. I think I'll keep it and will most likely buy another.
The Fun Love to Drive
Fun to drive vehicle. Has the heart of a jeep. Handles well in traffic, easy to drive and easy to judge distances. Good commanding view of the road. Buy it you'll like it!
Love my Liberty
Bought my Liberty in Feb. 2003. Drove it off the lot right into a blizzard with no exaggeration. It handled like it was on dry road without using the 4wd. Had to use the 4wd once while in Michigan. Shift on the fly, smooth as could be. As fun to drive as a sports car and if I have to do a U turn has a short tight turning ratio.Love it so much I gave it a name...Abraham
Jeep Liberty 2004
Fun and rugged. Jeep Liberty is the replacement for the Jeep Cherokee. Unlike the Cherokee, it has front wheel independant suspension. The ride is firm and solid, but not uncomfortable. It is as home on the road as off-road.
It's a Jeep Thing
As soon as I test drove the Liberty, I knew it was the vehicle for me. I have always owned a Caravan and was ready for something smaller. Let my KIDS drive the vans now. I immediately bought a bike carrier for my Jeep that carries 4 bikes and take my older granddaughters biking with me often.
Jeep
A very good vehicle in the winter. Handles very well. I dont like that the warranty is only 3 years or 36,000 miles. So if you want an extended warranty if your keeping the vehicle longer an extended warranty costs 1500 dollars. GM has 5 years or 60,000 miles on theres warranty which ever comes first but I realy think Crysler as well as Jeep has better vehicles than GM.
Great vehicle
I love my Liberty. I looked at many suv's and the Liberty stood out.
This Jeep looks timid, but its not
Just bought my 2004 Liberty and I can say I am not disappointed. My wife drives a Ford Expedition and the Liberty looks like it could fit in the back seat. However, the interior is bigger that I imagined. I am 6'5" and weigh 260 lbs and I have plenty of room and power with this new SUV as any of the others that I test drove.
We love our new Jeep Liberty!
We just bought our new 2003 model Jeep Liberty two weeks ago. If we'd known it would be this much fun, we'd have bought it a long time ago! We love the luxury features and the nice ride!
myjeep
The Liberty provides a confident ride. When Shutting the doors you get a sense of excellent build quality. The V6 offers ample get up and go power on the highway when needed. The Select trac feature on the 4wd model of proficient in snow and sno/ice conditions and very capable off road. It was an excellent choice for me.
4th Jeep
The Liberty handles well in city traffic, and is competent in the sand dunes and mud holes. The '04 Liberty does preform better than our Cherokees. We can't wait to try it in the snow and ice. The 2nd day we had the Liberty I tried to stick it in the mud, all I got stuck with was dirty jeep.
LIBERTY LIMITED
LOVE IT!!! VERY RELIABLE - GOOD ALL AROUND CAR AND HOLDS ANYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED TO PUT IN THE BACK!! GREAT ON SNOW AND ICE, VERY ZIPPY BUT FEEL SAFE
Love my Jeep!
My last Jeep was a 1994 Wrangler... loved that Jeep! However, I'm in sales and wanted a nicer looking vehicle to arrive at clients in. Last March we checked out the Liberty for my husband but he had his heart set on an Xterra. This Jan I decided that I had to have a Renegade!
Extremely off-road capable
Bought this Jeep brand new in 2004 & has never been in the repair shop once until July 2008, for routine maintenance. When I bought new I had the dealer install the skid plate group, tow hooks & rock rails. I have taken this Jeep off-road many times & it's quite impressive, I believe it's more rugged than most people realize. I should know because I have previously owned a 1946 CJ2-A & also a 1972 CJ-6. I do most of my 4 wheeling in Michigan & I was honestly surprised at some of the muddy situations I was able to get out of. One thing I've noticed as a 43 year old male over the last 4 years, this car is very popular with the woman. In fact my wife loves this car because it's reliable & small
Its a JEEP!
Ive always wanted a Jeep and this has not disappointed. I bought used with 32,000 miles on it. I've had the vehicle for 6 months now and it is excellent in the snow. Its comfortable and tall, but not too narrow of a wheelbase. The only drawback is gas mileage, but its a real suv not, a fwd wannabe. The 4wd is amazing. This is the 2nd 4wd vehicle I have owned and its excellent
Love it so far
Bought it back in June and I really like it so far. My only complaint is the positioning of the sun visors. Since the roof has padding, the visors don't sit up against the windsheild in a manner that allows taller people to see properly. This means that to use them I have to point them at me. Aside from that, I really like the vehicle a lot. I live in a mountainous area and am up on mountain dirt roads on a somewhat regular basis. I have no problems with any of it. The V6 provides enough pick up to get up to highway speeds without gunning the engine, and the engine is powerful enough to take you almost anywhere.
Give me death or give me Liberty
Nice little car...Jeep seems to be a good value for the money. Been back because of some bad engineering...other than that no complaints.
liberty 4WD sport
I bought my jeep a week ago and really like it! It's fun to drive...feels more like a car than an SUV. The ride is smooth and it handles well.
Give Me Liberty
Spunky SUV that grips the road and trails. Switched to the Liberty from a Chevy Suburban. Love the size when it comes to parking, but plenty of room for me and both kids. b
Dynomite in Disguise!
Drive those overweighted, bulky, over priced Tahoe's, Yukons and Suburbans over the CLIFF! Slip into this off road warrior with civilized highway performance. Dependable power, tork and speed with a refined 3.7 litre power plant. Forget about towing the camper, BRING ON THE ENTIRE HOUSE, ALONG WITH WIFE AND KIDS!
Jeep Liberty
Bought my Liberty on 12/17/02, have had absolutely no problems at all. 23500 miles in almost two years, and only time it was in for service was for oil change and 2 recalls (minor). Very durable was rearended about 2 weeks ago and dent or even scratch. Very satisfied with everything all around and love the security and comfort provided by the waranty.
2004 Renegade an excellent choice
I recently purchased my 2004 fully- loaded Jeep Liberty Renegade 4X4 on 10/31/03. It is an awesome vehicle with an excellent ride, nice interior, rugged good-looks and excellent off- road ability. The ride is very smooth and the steering is precise. I can't say enough about how impressed I am with the vehicle. I don't know why Edmunds states that it doesn't have a "car-like" ride. To me the ride is very smooth. The Liberty is in a class of it's own. The Escape, XTerra, Rav 4, and CR-V, among others can't match the distinctive look and capability of a Jeep. Go test drive one, you'll be impressed.
LOVE THE LIBERTY!!!!!!
Bought the 2004 Limited 4WD Liberty 4 months ago... This car is awesome... great for driving in new york city (and can parallel park it with ease!)... the gas mileage is really not that bad for and SUV. The car looks great, drives great and can hold a lot of cargo. And although most people don't like the window controls on the center seat, we've grown used to them and for the drive and passenger seats. I actually like them better than the on the door version. However, for the back seat, I think they should be on the doors.
Jeep Liberty
Easily moves in and out of tight spaces. Quick response time.
Better then the other
This car has made me feel more alive. I am only 36 and I cant get away from the car. You will love this car after you buy or lease it.
My First SUV!
Always being a "small car" person, I was really nervous about buying a SUV because they all seemed to be way too much vehicle to handle. But not the case with my Liberty.. it is roomy and comfortable and drives like a limousine! My first, but definitely not, my last Jeep Liberty. I also get many compliments on how cute it is (I have the Sport model), which makes me feel even better when I'm out on the roads competing with all the much higher priced, but not better-looking or better-riding SUV's.
Still loving it!
I have owned my Jeep for 5-1/2 years, and gotta say -- it is a great vehicle to drive and own. It has gotten me through the worst snow storms in Minnesota and Ohio, and has only needed regular oil changes. It still has the original tires and they still have plenty of tread left on them. This one has heated seats -- an option I didn't ask for but it was on the model I bought. These are wonderful...will never own a car without it! This is fun to drive in all seasons, but gives you peace of mind in the snow. Both of our teenagers have learned to drive on this car, and we liked it so much we bought a 2002 for our oldest. It has towed our 18 foot boat cross country without a problem.
Built for adventure : Jeep Liberty
I have 1,200 miles on my 04'Liberty Ltd. I love it!! I traded my 97 Jeep GC in. Reliability was very good, excellent offroad capability. I expect the same from the Liberty. I was looking to keep the price under 28-30 k.Leather heated seats,sunroof,6-disc cd chgr and more for $28,310, and got it under invice. Fit and finish- interior is excellent. Very solid feel.I looked at other small suv's in this class, for what you get for the money. This is it! Do your homework and check around. If you are looking for something small to midsize, and offroad capability. Take a good look at the Jeep Liberty.
I LOVE my Liberty!!
I love my Liberty. It is a blast to drive! It's a cute, sporty, perfect size for me and my 2 kids!
I love my jeep!
Perfect for my lifestyle. I drive 30 miles one way to work every day and live on top of a montain with a 1/4 mile driveway straight up. I usually put it in 4 wheel drive to get up the road.
great
i love libertys they r awesome
Liberty Limited
Sharp looking exterior, especially with the 17" wheels. Interior is part luxury with leather and part sporty with aluminum accents.
Short time review.
The appearance of this new design fits very well with the intended use. It is designed to be a very addequate off road vehicle and in my opinion it does this real well. The ride is not as good as a car but very good for this type of vehicle. Handling is very good overall. The control panel is easy to visualy figure out and use. The 4wd function is well suited to most off road uses and easy to use.
Jeep Liberty
I just purchased a new Jeep Liberty Sport. This is a wonderful vehicle with great maneuverability and handling. The styling on this vehicle is top notch. It seems like the engineers at Jeep knew just where to put all controls, so they are within easy reach. The Jeep is a pleasure to drive and I would highly recommend it.
Love at First Blush; Built to Last
Love it! We just (as in 3 days ago) bought a Liberty Limited from Fitzmall.com in Maryland. I did a lot of research and it came down to the Liberty Limited, with the 28-G Package, Leather heated seats, moonroof, 17-inch wheels. It's a beautiful auto. It runs superbly smooth and clean. It is a jeep truck and the engine sounds like it. It has a lot of power and it is very tight at cornering.
Love my jeep liberty
I just chose jeep liberty in Aug. I drove a number of other suvs but love the smooth easy ride of the jeep the best. I love the features inside as well. It rides like a "jeep" but feels like a luxury car inside. It handles easily, love the braking system, and is smooth and quiet on the road. The mpg really hasn't reached potential yet, as it is still really new. I am getting about 16-17 mpg. to work (city driving) better on highway. Hoping this will improve as the engine breaks in. Although that's not too bad (much better than the van I was driving).
My Libetry Sport
Its out standing, fun to drive, not a plastic car (in other words it is not a Honda), and pretty gopod priced
Head gasket
I love this jeep BUT it has a recall on the head or at least that is what I was told when mine was replaced at 31,000 miles
The Renegade
This vehicle was purchased for my wife as a replacement for 2002 Mercedes ML 430. She gave up on that vehicle because Mercedes said the squealing brakes were "just a fact of life" and the rear seats needed a German engineer to get them to fold and return. She loves the Liberty and its handling. I find the performance with the 3.7L V6 more than adequate. Interior seating and position leaves a lot to be desired. The looks are very Jeep and "fun". We've had four Wranglers and three Grand Cherokees. Liberty has the Wrangler fun and some of the Grand Cherokee style. A very good new vehicle.
It's a change
It's reliable, fun to drive, very quite engine, but strong.
