I purchased a 2022 Grand Wagoneer in May of 2022 after trading in my Ram 1500. Initially, I thought the SUV is beautiful inside and out, but after 1 day of ownership, my battery died. I took it back to the dealership where I purchased the SUV and they "gave me a new battery", but the same thing happened two more times over the course of 1 week. The service department had my vehicle for almost three weeks trying to figure out what was causing the battery to drain. After they finally fixed the issue, I just didn't feel comfortable driving the vehicle. over the course of the next 5 months, I began to notice that the overall fit and finish of the exterior was off (i.e., panel gaps, unevenness) and the SUV seemed to vibrate at highway speeds. In October 2022, I sold the Grand Wagoneer and purchased another Ram 1500. Overall, I think that this attempt at a luxury vehicle by Jeep fell short in many ways and I wouldn't recommend that any potential buyers wait another model year or two or take the Grand Wagoneer that you want to purchase home for an extended test drive.

Its beautful and feature rich. But a headache from the start. My new 2022 Jeep GW Series 3 has been in the shop for over 100 days the first year of ownership for the same issues over and over again. Heated seat drivers side stops working, ok thats annoying but not a deal breaker. But when it slams on the brakes randomly for no reason and has constant failures of the safety systems, including lane assist, its not worth the effort and time lost to get it fixed. Stelantis is awful and is making zero effort to resolve this matter. Off to arbitration we go. Avoid this vehicle like the plague.

Be careful Engine overheats

I was very happy when I bought my brand new Grand Wagoneer III because its design and technology tools. Nevertheless after just 5k miles the engine started to overheat. I took it to the service and it's been 6 weeks already with no solution from Jeep. They said that there's no idea what's happening but on top of that their customer service is very poor. I've had to call every week and they don't keep me posted. Worst experience ever with a brand new car. This is not reliable at all.

Been in the shop four times now for the same thing and filing lemon lawsuit now. Wagoneer Client Services is not helping. New tires twice and no fix in sight. Started at 2700 miles and still vibrates at 10K miles now. No one can fix it and it is getting worse! Beautiful truck but very poor experience from dealership and Wagoneer.

Broke down at exactly 6k miles

Tiffany Larsen, 08/14/2022

We were headed home from a family vacation when the odometer turned over 6k miles on our 2022 Grand Wagoneer that we ordered and waited seven months for. The change oil soon light came on, then the low oil pressure light came in two minutes later, then two minutes later the check engine light came on, and immediately after that the entire screen lit up saying every system was failing. The car smelt like it was on fire and decelerated on the interstate. Luckily, we were right by a rest area exit and were able to coast into the parking lot. We were stranded, myself and five children, and waited an hour for my husband to get to us. Meanwhile, the car was smoking hot and not drivable. To say we are disappointed in our luxury car purchase would be the understatement of the decade!

Unfortunately they won’t allow a rating lower than 1 star. We purchased this piece of crap in August 2022 and it has been in the shop for a total of 13 weeks, more than half the time we’ve owned it. Headliner rattled and fell within the first week, trim pieces falling off the vehicle going down the road. These problems were fixed but then it developed a rattle in the passenger front door that Jeep engineers determined was the door bouncing on the striker latch when going over a rough surface. Because two loaner Wagoneers had the same problem and they can’t figure out how to fix it, they simply said that the vehicle is operating as designed. They seriously said they have designed a vehicle with a flaw and because they cannot fix it that’s just the way it is. Wagoneer Customer Care has closed the case and refuses to do anything further. Potential Wagoneer, Jeep and Chrysler product buyers beware.

With just 3000 miles my Grand Wagoneer L series 3, has been in the shop nine times. Suspension related issues, new water, pump, and new thermostat all installed. Now the check engine light just comes on almost every time the vehicle is started and then ends up, going back to the dealership with a big. “ we’re not sure what’s going on.” For the same amount of money, you are better off purchasing a Yukon Denali, XL, ultimate edition, or a base level Escalade ESV. Chrysler hasn’t figured out all of the electronics in his vehicle and neither have their texts. Steer clear for a couple more years until they have everything figured out.

My vehicle has less that 10,000 and has spent over 20 days in the shop. Currently in shop now with electrical problems that they can’t seem to fix. Two new batteries less than 2 months ago and now those batteries aren’t charged. Definitely something is draining them. No help from selling dealership currently thanks to national Wagoneer we are at a second dealership. They have had it for 4 days and appears no closer to fix. However, love the interior and added features.

0 stars. Our Wagoneer has now stalled out twice in the middle of an intersection and completely shut down. Both instances required vehicle to be turned off and turned back on while in the middle of an intersection! We had the jeep in the shop 3 days ago and they replaced the hood switches and battery and promised the hood switch was faulty and replacing would 100% fix the problem. 3 days later same thing happens with all of our kids in the car. Lane assist is horrible on this car and is clearly a pile of junk. TBD on our open case with Chrysler… if we have to file lawsuit that will be the next step as I’d never put my family in this SUV again.

We’ve had 4 Range Rovers & a Mercedes G Wagon & the Grand Wagoneer is my favorite (my husband prefers his Rover). It’s beautiful, comfortable, fast & has a ton of features. I’ve had it for 8 months & haven’t had any problems with it. There’s nothing I’d want to change on it nor are there any features I wish it had. A+

Dead battery

Bought it brand new. 6 days into owning it the battery was dead. Dealer was terrible and did not give VIP service or even close to it. Ultimately they claimed it was a computer issue and that they reset them. Battery has continued to die at least once a month ever since. No dealership near me is offering VIP service. In fact the dealer we purchased from refuses to service our vehicle. And the dealer near me is 4 weeks out. The battery goes completely dead. To the point that it can’t be jumped. One month ago my husband replaced the battery himself due to lack of service options from dealership. And three weeks later battery dead as a door nail. I could not be more upset with the customer service and the reliability of this car. I don’t think it’s too much to expect my 105k SUV to start with only 5k miles it. So so upset. We have tried to trade it in but we are only being offered half of what we paid for it. Also we paid cash. So upset.

I bought a brand new 2024 Grand Wagoneer and it has been nothing but trouble. It has been in and out of 2 different dealerships and no one can fix it. it is much worse on hot days. first when you put it in reverse it has no power and it feels like the wheels are going in and out of 4 wheel drive. Then when you are going down the road, te emergency braking light comes on and you lose power steering. Then sometimes the check engine light comes on and the ALS light comes on and the service light for the stability control comes on and you lose braking. The dealership tried to sell me new tires and said that was the problem! They have no idea how to fix it, so I got a lawyer and we got in touch with jeep and they said, " so what's the problem? it still gets you where you are going." I kid you not! DO NOT BUY ONE OF THESE JUNKS!!! I have been driving my dad's truck because I don't want to take my kids anywhere in this Death trap. This piece of crap is sitting in my driveway and we are bringing a lawsuit against the dealers. DO NOT BUY A PIECE OF WORTHLRSS JUNK LIKE I DID!! BUY A TAHOE OR ESCALADE AND YOU WILL BE THANKFUL1

2022 Grand Wagoneer

Love the vehicle. Vehicle is spectacular, rides well and seems substantially solid. Fit and finish work is excellent! Process for purchasing was riddled with attempted dealer adjustment fee for current market. They did agree to remove that nonsense and we did purchase. Gas mileage is not great. Soooo comfortable and sound system is phenomenal. Options are crazy overboard but love them all. Sad state when a vehicle this costly is delivered without wheel locks. Just a thought......HUGE INVSESTMENT on buyer end, a small item such as wheel locks should not be overlooked.

This SUV has everything, and more, that you’ll possibly need. It has great tech, phenomenal ride quality, great acceleration, and its incredibly comfortable regardless of which seat you’re in. It’s a large ride but doesn’t feel like it behind the wheel. The handling is great and the front seats are incredible. The tech is great and so customizable and responsive. The ability to have multiple driver profiles makes it easy for multiple drivers without having to manually reset the seats, peddles, radio setting etc. Great sound system

I bought two 2023 Grand Wagoneers....a series iii Long and a series ii regular length. We replaced a Yukon Denali XL and Escalade with the GW's. The GW's are superior amazing vehicles but I understand some owners have had problems with various things. Other than a minor recall for the rear seatbelts, the only problem with the one was a failed software update as My wife shut down the engine during the update and we believe the TomTom update failed. These vehicles are amazingly sure footed and stable plus accelerated like a racecar with 510 HP. Several weeks ago I had a driver jump into my lane on a corner at 230 AM (drunk or asleep) and I was able to swerve to the shoulder instantly and recover at 50 MPH pulling a Jetski trailer. The GW handles like a sportscar yet feels like you are driving in a protected solid tank. I bought the 8 year Maximum extended warranty from Mopar. One flaw is that if you open windows when driving at a decent speed, you will get bad buffeting noise. It is very quiet otherwise. The navigation is not as good as my iPhone but I understand that no car is. I do not trust any of today's computerized vehicles especially if there is an EMP so keep an old car around just in case;)

One Week With Grand Wagoneer

I normally drive a Lexus GX460. I rented a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer for one week in Denver, with high hopes. When I got into the vehicle, which had 17k miles on the odometer, the first thing I noticed was a warning message stating that all emergency braking safety features were unavailable and the vehicle needed service. The vehicle was massive and very comfortable, but the A/C really struggled to keep up with the Denver heat. My passengers had many complaints about the poor A/C. The other thing I noticed when trying to fill up the gas tank was that I had no way to open the gas cover, as it was broken, and ended up having to pry open the gas tank door with a key, and upon looking further into this issue, it is a common problem. Knowing this vehicle costs over $100k new, I am appalled at the poor quality. I will never rent a Jeep product again or ever consider purchasing a Jeep product in the future.

I bought my Grand Wagoneer in May, 2022. I love the seats, the way it drives and all of the features. The only downside is that I’ve had is the technology glitches. Sometimes CarPlay works and sometimes it doesn’t. There is no rhyme or reason as I’ve bought new plugs, turned it and reprogrammed it, etc. that is a bit annoying. All in all though; I’d choose this SUV before the Tahoe, Escalade, and Denali as I’ve had those as well.

We LOVE this vehicle! 12K trouble free miles. This...thing...is...a...tank! Ride is great. Sound system is fantastic. Honestly, nothing bad to say. We had a recall or two, but all new vehicles have that. Keeping this vehicle for the long haul. Highly recommend. If you are in Florida, the best CJDR we have found is New Smyrna Jeep in New Smyrna Beach Florida. They are an hour from us, but have a fantastic Service Department. Get one of these trucks! You will LOVE it like we do!

My 2022 ia having the problem with the battery it has been in the shop 3 times, the first time it died I had it towed to the dealer they replaced the battery 6mo later back on the shop the battery again the charged it 8mo later back in the shop this I got a new battery so I guess I got another 8mo and it will be back in the shop again. I don't want to drive it far because it may let me down then I'm stranded 😞. It's a nice looking vehicle but dependability not so much someone has asked me about buying one and I told them...don't do it unless you love seeing your vehicle in the shop.

Half a Lemon!

Purchased this $112K "half a lemon" Grand Wagoneer, six months ago. Had previously owned, Suburban, Denali, other. This vehicle is way over priced and does not have the grade as GMC. No front seat pockets for items, must stand under rear cargo door to close, instead of like GMC, others, every time I get in this vehicle something is different on the computer screen. Can't shut off rear info-center. Emergency light switch in the wrong place. Can't lock the vehicle automatically when you walk away without touching the remote or door switch. Finish is beautiful, but shinny surfaces get fingerprints all over. Side pillars and headliner made of old fashion suede looking material with hand prints leaving impressions. Left hand door leather(or whatever) flaking off after 8K miles. Drinks gas and it’s Premium! Center console has very little room. Much more including very bad service at Jeep Dealer. Only thing good about this SUV is the ride. Had to pay for first oil change and tire rotation. Extended warranty a must and have to pay almost $6K!! Wow! Recommend to look around before buying.

I rented one of these for a week (about 2000 miles) and initially thought I would really be getting top of the line RITZ since this vehicles costs over $100k. This Jeep had about 27k miles on it, so it's barely been on the road. On the way home from the rental place, all seemed fine; even the wireless Android Auto worked great. The next morning we were to head out at 5:00 a.m.; it was 29 degrees outside and the windshield was covered in frost both inside and out... but this Grand Wagoneer just wouldn't blow any warm air! The inside was freezing and there was no way I was going from Georgia to Pennsylvania with no heat for a week. But it was 5 in the morning, who am I supposed to call to get a replacement? So while the vehicle was running, I put on heavy boots, etc, to try and stay warm for a while. I got bottle of glass cleaner to spray and get the inside of windshield clear enough to drive. And... once we got to driving, the vehicle started to warm up! It seems you need to reach a certain RPM to warm air through the vents. But even then, my right leg was ice cold for the first couple of hours because the center console would stay frozen and wouldn't warm up. And the back of my LEFT leg stayed cold for the whole trip as cold air from the REAR would flow between the driver's seat and the door. After a few hours, my wife gave me an extra sweater she'd brought and I shoved it in between the seat and the door, which gave me quite a bit of relief for my left leg, but there was still cold air getting by. But even with all that, the climate control left a lot to be desired. Worse, whenever we would sit idling for a while, this thing would go back to blowing cold air. It was as if we needed to reach a certain speed or rpm to get warm air. On the positive side, the heated steering wheel worked quite well and so did the heated seats. The engine seemed louder than it should for a "luxurious" vehicle like this, but it accelerated quickly and smoothly without hesitation with near-imperceptible turbo lag. The adaptive cruise worked quite well for the most part and didn't have a single false response or panic braking, although it did slightly over-react quite often when changing distance settings or when someone changed lanes in front of me. Now I must say that I'm used to driving a Lexus ES-350, which is a highly refined piece of machinery, and everything works flawlessly, including the ACC system that seems to duplicate human capabilities and performance. The Jeep ACC is just so-so ok but has a little way to go before it reaches Lexus-level performance. The disappointment is that JEEP should have this figured out by now, especially for a vehicle that costs over $100k. Anyway, the seats were comfortable, although the power seat controls are incredibly weird and hard to figure out; entirely counterintuitive. The steering wheels controls are also quite annoying since the buttons don't stick out/up enough to differentiate between them, so you just about have to look down when trying to change a setting. I'm sure I could get used to this if I owned the vehicle for an extended period of time, but it shouldn't be this way. I kept accidentally turning off the ACC by accident because all the buttons feel almost identical, and it's quite frustrating, especially when driving in the dark. There's more but I'll add only one more thing; the sound system for the speakerphone is a little weak. I also drive a 2024 Silverado and the phone speaker system almost makes it sound like the person is in the car with us; crisp and clear sound. Not so with the Jeep; the sound system belongs in a mickey mouse car, not a vehicle that costs $100k+. And yet one more thing; the Android auto worked fine on the way home from the rental place, but it wouldn't connect at all for the entire first day we had it. I tried everything from restarting both the car and my phone, to no avail. So we had to get by without it until the NEXT day when it seemed to reconnect. I'm not sure if it's due to Android Auto quirkiness, or a wiggle-contact somewhere in the dashboard. After reading some of the other 1 star reviews for this vehicle, I guess I should feel lucky that my experience didn't include a breakdown or engine fire. Either way, a vehicle like this with a disastrous climate control system should not be on the road.

You need to compare apples to apples. This is not a squishy riding body rolling supermarket/soccer mom or dad car. It is a road warrior. It has performed beautifully driving on beach sand, and quite frankly anything else in this way as well as paved roads. In a recent event I was in a line of traffic trapped because of an accident closure. I simply tuned the suspension to rock and drove over the curbs fending me in. My Grand Wagoneer trim level three has 13k flawless miles on it. The sound system blows away my experiences with Mark Levenson, Baumeister and Bose. The messaging seats are great, and my 60/40 bench seats are both heated and cooled. In a word, cranky people who have poor dealership mechanics are sadly missing out. Security Doge Jeep in Amityville, NY has been Awesome. This is the first lease in a long line of leases that I will buy out.

I have a 2023 Wagoneer Series III that is fully loaded. It drives wonderfully, however it is full of quality and design issues. It is by far the worst vehicle ownership experience I have had!

Like many are saying we've had issues since 10k miles. We love it when it operates, but we've had it in the shop 3 of 16 months. Mostly electrical issues. The dealership has no idea how to fix the thing. Chrystler is no help at all, ignoring us and never doing what they say that they will do. They only want to sell you the vehicle, they dont care if it works or if they are stealing your $100,000. Stay away. Overall we wish we never bought the vehicle. Worst vehicle purchase of my life. Boo.
