2004 Jeep Grand
This is the second Jeep we have owned and we love it. It is very comfortable and takes a rough road great. Cleans up nice too. The only thing I would change is the gas mileage. I had a Honda before this and ouch!
2004 Jeep Cherokee
Overall truck is good, great deal when bought with all the rebates. However truck needs more power if you have the V6, but if you get the V8 you pay for it in gas!

Theres hope yet for a jeep
Always had trouble with jeeps, my wife loved them, bought it for her. So far so good. no problems at all. excellent pickup(HO V8) but the draw back is awful gas milage. handles cross country great. The overland has a stiffer suspension and is 3 inches higher. Has more of a "trucky" ride but we like it.
04 Grand Cherokee Laredo
40k miles and on 4th set of replacement front rotors. They represent the 5th set of front rotors. Would not buy another Jeep unless the problem (inherent since the mid 80s I'm told) was resolved.
Best 4x4 ever made!!!
I've owned three different Jeeps now and this is by the most comfortable, best 4x4 in its class. Well worth every penny!!! Would recommend to anyone who can afford it!
the last of the best
great looking and performer. Not as good on gas however as it runs. V8 def worth it. runs great in rain and snow.
I Love MY Grand Cherokee Limited
My Cherokee is my second Cherokee. I love it -- I can haul whatever comes my way and I like the comfort for long trips - which is most of my driving. I wish I had a V8, but I have gotten used to the 6 and I am saving fuel costs. I love my sun roof, and the room inside is awesome. Plus it is a beautifully designed car on the outside -- truly well designed for curb appeal. I could have spent another 5-10K on a BMW or Lexus ...but would not have been worth it. I love my Cherokee ! It is truly an American Dream !
2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo Review
Overall, we like our Grand Cherokee. The car has a nice, though soft ride. It is great in the snow and is well built. Our only complaints we have are the gas mileage which averages around 11 around town. Most of the driving is around town with trip of approximately 3 - 5 miles. On a trip, we get approximately 21 babying the car. The heating and air conditioning are both excellent. It is a nice vehicle and we are pleased with it, though we will probably try another vehicle when the lease expires.
satisfied owner
Most driving is local. Two to four trips a year exceeding 150 miles. Great service by dealer, one trip for brake check (recall) and one to replace the battery (warranty).
My 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokke LE4x4 Review
I have driven my Jeep to the Extreme, I have made it go into 4 feet of water with absolutly no problem. I like the the way it picks up speed quickly. Ride is not so soft but it's not too hard like the Nissan X-terra's. The SUV looks quite stylish and a little expensive looking. The Tailgate door needs a little more of a matching design. the rear tailgate door looks a lot like it's relative the Dodge Minivan. Ive seen the new 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee they look nice but still no third row seats. But yes I do recommend eep other than it seems like most Jeeps have a rear light problem.
04 Grand Cherokee
Over all the jeep has been good. Took a long road trip and got great gas mileage. driving around town and got 15 miles or less. Service on the truck was not satisfied. Key got stuck in the ignition. The navi is a great addition to the veheical
Good Jeep
I love the look of Jeep grand Cherokee
Jeep special edition
With the execption of gas milage I am very pleased with the Jeep. It has all the requirments that I wanted. The 4WD for towing my boat, the ease of towing behind my motorhome and nice appearence.
Love my Jeep
This Jeep is very smooth on the road - takes potholes well! Great in the snow.
problem already
I bought this vehicle when it came to my bodyshop for some paint work, did a carfax and it was a 1 owner with low mileage, very clean, ran fine for two days, then the oil pressure gauge kept going on and off. I presume it needs an oil pump at 55,000 miles. Not happy.
purchase price
Invoice of vehicle minues $4250 in rebates and 3.9% APR for 60 months. All in all it turned out to be $600 less that Trailblazer LS and I got a V8 with more equipment. Not sure how great of a deal it is, but I don't think I left too much money on the table.
First six months
Drivers seat could be a little wider
Why am I smilin'?
I'm smilin' because I've got the best value ride for the money. This is a great looking vehicle. I'm 6'2" and there is more than enough leg room. Fantastic towing power with the V8. Pulled my 5000# trailer and it didn't break a sweat, even at 65mph. The build quality is very impressive. The doors slam with a solid "thud". Freeway mileage with the V8 not yet broken in is just over 20mpg. Was able to make a deal for $460 under invoice with an additional $5500 in rebates. Also got $990 discount for the V8. If there are any 2004's left out there, grab one. When I saw the 2005 body style change it convinced me to buy an '04. Much classier styling in the '04. I'll always own a Jeep.
This one's a winner
Just got a 2004, graphite Overland with GPS. Traded in my 2001 Limited This is a sweet ride. Much better seats than in the Limited. Side support and heating function much better.
IT is the best in the snow, and beach
i like it over all it DOESN'T ride as hard as the infiniti fx45 and the bmw. It is the most wonderful car of the years!!!!!! It doesn't cost as much as the bmw and infiniti fx45 and fx35.!!
grand laredo 4 door 4X4
this is the fourth jeep that i have owned. the only thing i dont like about this jeep are the handles that are to close to the windows.i feel it blocks a lot of the view. other than that i love every thing else about it. and i have always gotten a fair resale price on other jeeps i've owned and sold.
FIRST SUV
ALWAYS WANTED A 4X4 SUV AND I MADE THE RIGHT CHOICE GOING WITH A JEEP. I LOOKED AROUND BUT GAS MILAGE WAS A BIG CONCERN WITH OTHERS, PRICES WERE PRETTY EQUAL.
Happiness
Had a great buying experinece, from the fleet manager on the net. No hastle. Took delivery and it has run as designed and built. Am very satisfied.
awesome suv with the power of a truck
I was searching for an affordable suv with a good strong name. My preferences were in comfort, off-road capabilities but something luxury as well. The Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V8 has all of the above and it is a smooth yet powerful suv. 4x4 is excellent for off-road. Great family suv with a good amount of space. I knew the minute I started to drive it that it was perfect. not very bouncy like other competitors and gas wasnt as bad as others as well. I can't wait to take a long road trip in my jeep. Dont forget the V8's towing capacity either the maximum is 6,500 lbs that is a large boat.
04 Jeep
This is our 4th Jeep. I sometimes wonder if we'll ever own different kind of vehicle. We are definitely a Jeep family.
Jeep Cherokee Laredo the best
Best small SUV on the market - it will actually go off road and climb hills, handles gravel roads great! It is also quite smooth on the interstate. A true SUV for all situations. Only wish the mileage was better, but you pay for a V- 8 motor.
Do not like the vehicle
Quadratrack drive performs poorly in snow. It is really not a 4X4 but a 4X2
i got a lemon
my transmission makes a clicking noise when i put it in gear,it didn't come with the right floor mats, the engine knocks on cold start ups, trim coming off around the windshield, navigations system is messed up,missing screws that hold the tail light on(the dealer did put a old rusty screw in for me)rear window defogger broken, engine runs ruff at times and stalls when cold...all this and i have less than 4000 miles
2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited
I'm still under warrantee...the only problem I had so far is that all of a sudden it started to run rough. I took it back three times and they finally found the problem after telling me that that's how it should run. They changed one side of the injectors....it's been a about 8 months and it's starting to run rough again so I will need to take it back. I also noticed that that the sliding door for the moon roof is tearing at the edges...don't think it should be doing that since I hardly use it. I think something is missing..need to have them look into that too.
jeep ok
my third GRC far suprior to all others. 2300 miles so far & no problems of any kind. note i am very critical & would consider a 1/16" difference in body pannel fitment a problem to be fixed
Jeep can't be beat
I mean if you read about this Jeep, they make it sound like a bad car, let me tell you, I have owned all sports cars until this Jeep, and this thing can drive. It moves, handles, and brakes fine. Of course it is heavy so it dosen't do it like a sports car would, but pretty close. 4X4 can't be spoken for, so unbelievable, it can't be stopped - I tried. I towed an H2 out of a mud pit, I struggled but it is WOW!!! Great car.
Good car needs work
The GC is a great car to have around for the snow. I use to haul around my kayak and snowboard. The dealer is the worst place to go. They dont believe anything is wrong with the car when I bring it in. The air bag light went on and they couldnt figure out what was wrong with and told me the problem didnt exist. I took it to another dealer and they fixes it. They need a training on customer service. I used to have an Acura and they had great service. Next car I want to get is the MDX.
Grand Cherokee '04
I have had five of these vehicles as they evolved from 1992 onward. As a field vehicle in my biological research I found them unbeatable. Now, in retirement, I continue to enjoy the vehicle for travel and everyday use.
Highly Satisfied Buyer
Previous 3 SUV's were GCLs. Particularly enjoy the feel, confort and the many "bells and whistles" of the Overland especially rain-sensitive wipers and tire pressure monitor. Appreciate pleasing interior design. Would highly recommend to my friends.
Fun but only for so long...
I really like that it is small and nimble, but also large enough for a family. I bought it new and was told 87 octane was fine. I've since learned otherwise. It has died on me just sitting at a light several times. I also have had problems with wind noise through the driver door. The key fobs are HORRIBLE. I've had them worked on (supposedly) at least five times and they still don't work. The absolute worst feature is that if you are in the back you either sweat to death or the passengers in the front freeze to death as they go deaf listening to the air on high.
Silver Overland
Comfortable for long and short trips alike. Great acceleration for passing. Handles road imperfections smoothly and far less body roll than my '95 Laredo, it feels good. The vehicle does seem to wander a bit in a strong cross wind. I live on a dirt road in the mountains - QuadraDrive system is sure footed on all surfaces, including ice and snow. Heated seats are great. 18-20 mpg seems good for a V-8 SUV.
Man I love it!
This is my second Grand Jeep Cherokee Limited to the '93 (same model) I had. The old one ran fine, but getting everything repaired at the dealer just got too expensive for such an old car. I had a little less than 150K on it so I'm expecting to get similar mileage before I get another new car on this 04 GJC. My new car is simply joyful to drive and to own! It has power, comfort, and style. I just love driving this car, even though I don't go off road. So far no problem except for groaning when shifting from R to D. My old 93 did this too. I'm not sure if it's normal.
Rough, Rough Idle
This will be my 4th Jeep and last. Purchased new and ran great for first 10,000 miles. Started to have rough idle problem when in drive. Had 4 different dealers work on it with no luck. They just say V8's idle rough in this vehicle because idle RPM is set too low for lower emissions. Can't change computer settings. What bull! If buying this vehicle used, look for one with at least 15,000 miles. This idle problem does not set in until later. Very smooth running V8 but idle at red lights or traffic a joke. Passengers will ask you whats wrong with your car? Brakes also need frequent work. Only buy this vehicle with a power driver seat.
The First of Many
This is our first jeep. My wife and I are hooked. We are currently in the process of purchasing our second Grand Cherokee Limited.
2004 Jeep Cherokee Ltd.
I have had the Grand Cherokee Limited for over 4 months and all I can say is I LOVE THIS vehicle! It rides smoothly, handles well, and is so comfortable to drive I am always wanting to drive more. The high ground clearance makes travel over rough conditions a breeze. The back is spacious and can carry lots of equipment and supplies.
Overland is awesome!
As with previous Jeeps, the maintaing of the vehicle is the secret to it's longevity. What can I say? It's a Jeep. It goes when and where I want it to in luxury. The door panels could be a little slimmer. Big people's knees go where the window switches are. Gas mileage is not terrible but that is not why I bought it.
Everything but adjustable brake pedals
We have taken it on 2 long trips and its a fine car except it requires premium fuel and the economy is less than expected. It was picked up with a slight miss and it still does but worse when hot. The GPS has a lot of nice features and someday it will navigate using more roads so that direct routes can be used rather than just major roads. It is not as good as a hand held portable GPS for routing. It handles surprisingly well at high speeds and if you need some power its there when you need it. Its fast.
First Jeep
First in buying my Jeep, I used the Internet to do my leg work before I even went to any dealerships. Between Edmunds.com, cardirect.com, etc... I had 14 quotes. Once I had a good feel for the price I wanted to pay, I lined up test drives not only to check out the vehicle but to check out the dealerships. Some rate better than others. I spent little time in the dealership when I purchased my Jeep. I'm very happy with it!
Jeep Review
The 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado is an excellent vehicle. I previously had a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Larado and traded it for the 2004 model. It is a very dependable vehicle.
Fully Satisfied
I am fully satisfied with all aspect of my Grand Cherokee, 2004. It is my third Jeep purchase. I am pleased with the 18 mpg average around town in the first month's ownership. Am also looking forward to driving in the ice and snow to gage it's performanceO
Left me stranded 4 times the 1st 6 month
Reliability on this vehicle has been a nightmare; for this I should have purchased a used car. It is now on it's FORTH battery with 8198 miles on it. To date they have not been able to figure out what the problem is. I would NOT purchase this car again new. Also, the inside lacks nooks to store things up front.
Overland satisfaction
Only have 20000 kilometers so far and am satisfied with the vehicle. the overland is distinctive and is easily identified from the ordinary Grand Cheroke.
FUN, FUN, FUN!!!!!!!
Over the years I have owned a number of suv's from all major american manufactures except Jeep. If I had known how nice they were, I would have had one before now.
Fun to Drive!
It's fun and easy to drive. You have to be a little careful when turning on sharp turns; it's not as stable as it could be. Great view of the road and I like the roomy feeling.
3rd Grand Cherokee and final one!
Our 3rd GC a Christmas present. At 200 miles the "check engine" light came on.It was fixed. Every 200 miles after that it came on also, after 1,000 miles Chrysler is buying back to SUV. Faulty software in this model when fuel tank is 1/2 full and going up steep hills!
