Perfect Vehicle
My first truck. Was going to buy another sedan but decided to try the jeep. I am so glad I did. I love everything about it! So many people give compliments on it, moreso than my last luxury car.
Gone 'Jeepin
I've wanted this Jeep since the redesign back in 1999. I finally got one, and it's the most fun-to-drive car I've ever been in! The V8 engine is great on speed and power, though I'm only getting an average of about 16mpg. No surprise there, as this is an SUV after all. The LTD model has a ton of gizmo's and gadgets to keep me happy, and despite being a 5 year old design it still looks more modern & aggressive than the new Trailblazers and Explorers. I also considered the HUMMER H2, but although I like its big TONKA toy truck look its still kind of ugly. The Jeep gets twice the H2s gas mileage, costs over $20k less, and has twice as many onboard toys.
DINOS JEEP
LOVE THE ROUGH RIDE,AND HIGH SEAT VISIBILITY. HAVE NOT HAD ONE THING GO WRONG,AND THIS IS MY THIRD JEEP GC.RELIABILITY HAS IMPROVED DRAMATICALLY SINCE MY FIRST ONE IN 94
Awsome Drive
Just bought it and love it!
jeep #5
this is the 5th jeep grand charokee i have owned and it is by far the finest. this vehicle has the best urgonomics of any of the previous vehicles i have owned, jeep or otherwise. everything is right at your fingertips.
Not Sure
I have owned my Jeep for two weeks today and I must say I'm not as impressed with it's I6 engine's ability to get up and go as I thought I would be. If you are going to purchase this vehicle, I would suggest that you take it for a LONG test drive, 10 miles at least. I'm glad I leased it!
Good Stuff
Well, I've only had it a week, and it's our first Jeep but we love it! the only complaint is we have to take it in and get a new windshield put in it because the one that came in it has air bubbles in it... a little disappointed but nothing major and they'll give me something to drive while they do it. Other than that so far it's great, drives wonderfully and I personally think the Grand Cherokee is still a sharp design and is one of the best looking SUVs on the road.
Offroader and Country Club in One
Just picked up my Silver Limited and immediately took it on a a 400 mile trip. The Jeep performed above expectations. It rides like a champ on the interstate, and is easy to manuever in the city. It does have a little of a truck like ride, but hey it is an SUV - right? If you want a car ride, than I say, "Buy a Car!" I considered the Pilot, the Highlander, the 4- Runner, and the Pathfinder. Test drove them all a number of times and finally settled in on the JEEP as my favorite - no regrets!
A Real SUV
Simply put, a great SUV through and through. The Overland is not for everyone, and are best suited for those enthusiasts of true off-road vehicles. Remember, the Jeep will behave and react like an SUV should, and when properly maintenanced will provide years of inexplicable joy and recreation.
Jeep? Never Again!
Car turned out to be a lemon. Lousy reliability. Has been in repair for half a dozen items. Altough it is comfotable to ride, i woul NOT recommend it to anyone. Go Japanese.
its a jeep
Coming form an xj I am pleasantly surprised at the comfort that this grand has , it has proven itself time and again in the harsh northeast with temps from 10 below to 100 above ,I didn't get stuck once in the 24 inches of snow dumped on up in jan (1 storm), despite chryslers take over it is still a jeep
this car is blehmazing
This car has a meh on road attitude. However once you let the thirsty 4.7 HO V8 off road, she becomes one amazing SUV. In years of living in middle GA i have only been stuck in the mud twice. Great 1st car for your son or a offroader.

Good Value
Good value for the money. Handles well on all surfaces. Good reliability except brakes. Would buy again.
Best Jeep yet
This is my second Jeep and by far the best. This is the best SUV I ever drove. I so far have found no faults with this Jeep except the fuel mileage, it could be better. I still get 23 on the highway and 17 in town which is not bad for a v8.
Not too Happy
We have had the Jeep for 4 years now, loved the comfort and driving experience it gives on long rides. Now we are experiencing problems with the electrical windows and doors and interior lights. But still I like my jeep

very well build vehicle. Bought it with 33k miles on it . Im the second owner . We use it to pull the 24ft boat to Florida twice a year . It has additional trans cooler. Front brakes by ProStop . I use Mobile-1 10W40 only! , change trans fluid every 20 k mi. Only repair was A/C /heater core at 128k mil. So far 158k mi. on odometer without any problems . Strongly recommended . Good work horse !

Safe and luxurious
Great in foul weather, especially snow.
Mechanical parts stand the test of time
I am the first owner of my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Columbia Edition and have had it for 15 years. Positives: Mechanical parts are solid and 4WD still works like a champ. Just recently getting to the point were some major issues (radiator leaking and resealing engine block) need addressed. Negatives There have always been electrical issues with this model, but not to a fault of driving. I have replaced a door wiring harness and have a sensor that still erroneously goes off once in a while.
The dude
I bought it on August 2018 with 193,000 miles, still running smoothly, put in a new battery and tires. Jeep’s are the best.

Terrible!. A truck not a luxury car!
I bought the laredo, Freedom. We were sold the Freedom as they were out of stock on the regular Laredo's. Car is terrible on bumbs, terrible on highways and terrible on city streets. I live in NY. It might be good off road but this is the worst car I have purchased.
My new (to me) Jeep
Got a fair deal on a two owner 2004 Jeep.

It's a keeper.
Bought this overland edition in nov. 07. Was certified. Had a few issues at first. Dealer was incompetent after the 2nd month all bugs were worked out, guess it had been sitting on lot for a whiles. Sumptuous leather seats sold me the 1st time sitting inside. Every option available from nav to automatic wipers.
Loved my Jeep, but
I loved my Jeep. Here's why. Previously, I had a '94 Grand Cherokee with the I-6 engine. That lasted us 12 years before I sold it and bought my '04 (in '06), and the last several years that I'd owned the '04, I'd had a 3500 lb. boat to pull. it was a dog. But, my '04, with the V8, was AWESOME for towing. It was so much fun to drive, too. But, in the end, the reliability killed me. I had to replace the power window mechanism on 3 of the 4 doors, the body was starting to rust (at 6 years of age), and I'd had to replace a front wheel bearing. If not for the rust, I probably would have kept it, but today I drove home my new (to me) Honda Pilot. 16 years of owing JGC's, over, sigh.
2004 Overland 2WD
Great Jeep, Great Price, Great Deal!
Reliability Questionable
I have really loved owning my Grand Cherokee but every time I take it for an oil change it costs me money. Nothing seems to be covered under warranty. Hoping I didn't make a mistake.
5 repairs in 30k miles
Beautiful exterior. Great off-road performance, but the love affair ends there. Stiff bumpy uncomfortable ride. Needed to replace entire braking system at 15,000 miles and I'm no speeder. 4 major electrical problems in the first 30,000 miles. Will never buy another Jeep. They look great but cost of ownership and inconvenience are awful!!!
Pretty good SUV
I bought my Grand Cherokee brand new in the summer of 04 and I am pretty pleased with it. Have had 2 minor problems:transmission leak at 8000 miles and the battery exploded at about 19,000 miles. No one knew why but it was replaced for free under warranty. Comfortable inside and looks good on the outside. Could use a bit more rear leg room and not sure why but I keep getting random dents on the tailgate and have noticed other GC's with similar dents as well-not sure if that is common or not. Will be getting a new car within a year but it won't be a new Grand Cherokee. Would definitely keep the 04 over the new style. Fuel economy isn't that bad for an SUV-gets better mpg than my mom's Liberty.
Dogs N Me
The Jeep was purchased for our dogs. Now the dogs are too old to make the leap into the back. Just something to think about, because I know I'm not the only pet owner to purchase a vehicle with pet needs in mind. Still having fun.
