Addictive, seductive, fun
What can I say but, I love my Jeep! The features, handling, style, MPGs, versatility is amazing! For the price range on the Compass and everything it offers, you can’t find anything better!
Small and capable but thirsty
I've had this car for about 2 years and I purchased it because I live in a mountain region where we get a lot of snow during winter. I can say this compact crossover with its awd terrain select was more than what I expected. I was able to get through some icy roads and snow with ease and even better when I had upgraded the tires to falken wildpeak at3w. But I will say what I didnt like was most of my expenses was going into gas. This may have a small tank (12-13gal I believe) but it would only do about 260-275 miles which was as much as some larger SUVs i had so it wasn't a benefit as I had spent almost $4,000 last year alone. In the end, I traded in the vehicle for something economical. If I'm going to spend that much in gas I might as well have gone for the grand cherokee or even just an old XJ cherokee if I want 4x4. Until they bring the 4xE variant to the states I wouldn't recommend this vehicle

My Jeep my problems ….
At 30,000 miles the dealership informed my tires were gone and I needed to replace all 4! I did and did a alignment at 46,000 I was out of town doing a Festival and stopped for gas and my Jeep wouldn’t start…A gentleman came over to were I was stranded at the gas pump and jumped me off and and did a diagnostic on it and informed me my break pedal sensor was out and it would kill my battery and for me to get to my safe place before turning it off,not thinking abt the stop and go at the red light it cut off and wouldn’t crank again so I had a guy push me off the road to a safe place.Got back home took it to my mechanic cause Mc Sweeney dealership informs my warranty ended at 36,000….A new brake pedal release button and $354 battery later I get my Jeep back and my dash board is lit up with warnings service engine service hill holder my traction light stays on my cruise control isn’t working properly I set it and it won’t shut off when I put on my brakes*** so this tells me it’s to do with the brake pedal sensor I replaced…My sunroof won’t open at all yet my dash lights work.Got to gas station last week 2 mths after replacing the part and my tail lights are out and my car won’t start again!I drive 88 miles a day to work and I’m not happy about this been waiting on replacement part for 5 days !

I like it!
Good little SUV. My only complaint is that there are too many gears in the auto trans, but thankfully you can use the sport mode. It’s given good service with a lot of comfort. Mileage has been good for a 4wd. Had several minor glitches with the integrated infotainment system and it was replaced under warranty. I’d like it better if my model was available with a 5 or 6 speed manual gearbox.

Stays in the shop
I loved my Jeep at first, but 3 years in and not even 70,000 miles and it’s been in the shop 5 times since July. Had to replace both batteries and the starter all at once, just to still have issues starting it. It’s my first and last Jeep
