ENGINE FAILURE AT 24K MILES!

Regretful SoCal Hyundai Owner, 07/12/2024

I absolutely LOVED my new 2024 Hyundai Tucson SEL Conv Pkg gas model until the engine failed when I was driving on the freeway. In addition, there are very weird quirks like it keeps switching from inside air to outside air. The car wont let you keep it on inside air. Also, it doesn’t come with rear parking sensors so you will back up straight and hit a car or wall. Weird thing is, it has rear cross traffic sensors! Its very pretty but engine failed at 24K miles. Its my first and last Hyundai, and I will be having them buy it back.

Thankful I leased!

First hybrid ownership experience. Fun to drive, although not what I expected in terms of how often I am NOT able to drive in EV. Hwy milage (95%gas engine) equiv to my 2013 gas Honda CRV. Interior styling is awful. All front seat storage awkwardly sized and placed. Cup holder size circa 1970. No dedicated sunglass storage. No lock on glove box. Infotainment system controlled by gremlins. It flips to other screens on its own. I can no longer find the screen that should be projecting bluetooth connected mapping program. Cannot cancel its ever failing attempts to download my contacts which I never wanted. Agressive exterior side panel styling means my car doesn’t get clean in a car wash unless the brushes are physically removing the dirt. I could go on…..Glad I can feel free to move on to something better when my lease is up!!

Love my 2024 Tuscon-get compliments on it all the time. The only downfall are the brakes-every morning major grinding-go to lunch more grinding-go home grinding-brought it in they stated did not hear anything. but 3 days later started again called 2 weeks from the original date told my salesman-waiting to hear from service mgr.. Please if anyone else has these problems and nothing is done please report. Previous hyundai owner never ever had problems.

I have about 3000 miles on my 2024 Hybrid set convenience. So far has been flawless. The 1.6 Turbo has plenty of power for a large suv. The interior quality is superb. I do wish the steering wheel was heated and the Car Play was wireless but over all for the money this car beats the competition hands down

It has a luxurious feel to it. Love the outside design. I The new display is flush to the dash and not raised like the 21 model I had before. All touch screen. To me has a feel of a very luxurious car. After rebates plus tax included it was only about $31,500 which is great in today’s market.
