I've had a Lexus RX SUV for about 4 years now. Even though a new RX is priced almost $20k higher than the 2011 Sonata Limited that I now own as well, I find myself making apples-to-apples comparisons between the two on a daily basis. Strange as it may seem, the comparisons come out even more often than not. The fit and finish of the Sonata is comparable to the Lexus in nearly every way, with the possible exception being that the leather seating on the Lexus is a little more supple. I'm sort of a tech junkie, and the Sonata's nav system with its upgraded speakers and backup camera really hooked me. The system's integration really makes driving a lot more safe in today's times.

I purchased a used 2011 Hyundai Sonata almost 5 yrs ago now. It is a 6 speed manual transmission, absolutely love the way this cars drives, comfort, speed, etc.. There were a few items that needed to be fixed and I believe the previous owner was in an accident with it. The car does tend to pull to the right even after an alignment was corrected. The steering wheel had a recall on a part but that was corrected. After I worked out the bugs, the car has been very reliable. I am wondering about the headlights and if others have had an issue. I have adjusted the lights both myself and by a dealer and still cannot see more than a few feet in front of me. I replaced the headlight bulbs through NAPA, one of their high end brands, ultra bright at 20 dollars a piece, and still do not have visibility more than a few feet in front of me on the low beam setting. The high beams work great. Trying to figure out if this a faulty light system and if I should replace my headlight assembly. Thanks for any comments or suggestions. Keeping this car for a long time.

Have already 180000km, running perfectly so far. Had different small issues over the years with suspension (our Quebec roads..you know) but never with the engine or transmission or electronic. Also no rust after 9 years and this car was used in harsh winter conditions (but i did rustproof few times). Very spacious and comfy. Now thinking about newer Sonata.

I have owned dozens of cars from various manufacturers. This is one of the two best cars I have ever owned. Test drove a Honda Accord, a Toyota Camray, a Chevy Malibu, a Niassan Altima and a Kia Optima. This car had them all beat, hands down. As much power as the six cylinder I traded for it. My brother, who just bought a Lexus 350 IS a few months ago drove it. He said if he hadn't already bought the Lexus, he would have bought a Sonata. Hyundia got it right with this car.

driver side floor maps are constantly getting tangled up with gas and break pedal's the hooks installed can't keep them in place. Passengers side does the same but not a safety concern.
