Used 2008 Hyundai Sonata Sedan Consumer Reviews
I love my Sonata!
I purchased my Sonata when it 39,000 miles on it. Now, I'm approaching 276,000 and it's still going strong!! Even though it's a 4-cylinder it has plenty of umph! The only thing I have done to it over the years is changed the air filter, plugs, brakes, typical maintenance stuff, and had to put an oxygen sensor in it a few thousand miles ago. I've had to replace the driver's window regulator once, a door handle, and the master driver window switch. Other than that, this is the best car I have ever owned, and until it just gives up on me I'm never giving up on her! It's easy to work on and any parts I've had to replace are relatively cheap (online purchasing is so much cheaper!). It still gets 33mpg on the highway! A/C still works! I replaced the factory stereo system soon after I bought it, and it's still fun to drive! If this car ever dies (and I hope it doesn't!), I'd get another one in a heartbeat!

TIMOTHY
I've had two Sonata's since 2001 and they have BOTH been without major problems. Great little cars, Great price and minor write-up have been resolved by Hyundai. By the way, I'm REALLY NOT an employee!!

Darn Good Car
I bought my Sonata after renting a few on business trips and was very impressed with the car. The 6 has all kinds of get up and go and smooth... This car is very quiet at 70 mph and fairly nimble when doing evasive maneuvers. A lot of bang for the buck and even better reliability. Mine nw has 32000 miles at 15 months of age and has never been in the shop for repairs. I think it blows away the competition as far as price performance and comfort. Yeah, I'd buy another one.
Terrible buy
The warranty given by Hyundai doesn't guarantee the motor 100,000 miles unless your original owner. My engine blew even after regular maintenance. The recent recall of the 2011 and 2012 model confirms my suspicion that they wont recall them because its only affecting a certain region. The mechanics know that vehicles are defected as well.

WORST HYUNDAI don't waist your money
Slowly but surely, every bit of this car has broken, peeled, snapped or shattered from the day I drove it off the lot. Now I have only 1 outside door handle left and can't even get in my car. Yup... went to open the door when on my way to the doctors, and the handle just shattered (cheap plastic), and that's the 3rd one in a week. Paint is lifting or chipping, Brakes went out after 20K miles and not covered by warranty, Micheline Tires had to be changed after 30K (unheard off) also not covered, rearview mirrors have fallen twice, Inside door-handles just fell off, Sun visors snapped (both) and fell on my lap as I was driving (very dangerous) seat belts snap off...
