Used 2005 Hyundai Sonata Consumer Reviews
SOLD!!
I drove out of the dealership in a beautiful bright silver 2005 Sonata for less than $16,000.00 total (WOW). It's a great mid size car for the price. Very comfortable ride, and very good looking too. I get plenty of compliments on this vehicle.
Great starter car
Bought mine 6 years ago at 130,000 and I keep.it well maintained. Only problems I've had with it were small and cheap to fix at home. Air conditioner is top knotch! And smooth ride really good on gas too.

No Regrets
I did a lot of research before I bought this car. I hadn't even thought of looking at a Hyundai until I read about the warranty, roadside assistance & all the favorable reviews & about what a great value it is for the money. Finally I went to a dealership to "rule out" this vehicle & instead wound up falling in love with it & buying it. No regrets!
Great Car, Minimal Problems
We have put 107,000 miles on this car in four years and it has not given us many problems. The only one it has given us is that the windshield wipers get stuck and you just have to loosen them from the windshield. Other than that this car has given us no problems and has even held up when I had a 2 hour commute (each way) to work each day.
3 Days on the road.
I am looking for a new vehicle and rented a Sonata for a 3 day business trip to Florida. I drove close to 800 miles in the car and came to the conclusion I would not entertain buying one. The ride quality is an odd mix of harsh on bumps, yet floaty and vague. Handling is slow and heavy. The interior is nice looking, but not enough legroom or headroom. Dash and switch gear has high quality feel, but then you find corners cut on a plastic fuel filler door. For ride and space I would choose an Impala or Buick Regal over this car. OR for a sportier ride, the Mazda6 or Honda Accord.
