Used 2005 Hyundai Sonata Consumer Reviews
hard to beat
WE LOOKED AT MANY CARS IN THE 20,000 PRICE RANGE AND YES SOME WERE BETTER.BUT AT 18,100 OUT THE DOOR WITH .09% FOR 60 IS HARD TO PASS UP FOR A LOADED MIDSIZE AUTO! WE HAVE 2100 MILES LOVING THE RIDE ON OUR LEATHER SEATS WITH GOOD SOUND COMEING OUT OF THE BOX. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? A 10 YEAR WARRANTY YOU SAY, WE GOT THAT TOO.
Surprised Owner!!!!
I was thrust into the car market by a car thief. I had some fast research! This car has exceeded my expectations! I challenge you to find the quality and value for a new car with all the features - Leather seats, front & side airbags, sunroof, V6, luxury interior trimmings, outstanding warranty program, road service, special rear view mirror and just pure value that the Sonata offers! Good Luck! If you are in the market for a mid-size sedan (Toyota Camry or Honda Accords or Civic) my personal recommendation is to take a Sonata V6 for a test drive, then use the money you just saved to take your new car for a cruise up the coast!

Great Value
After shopping around for a few weeks & a lot of haggling (which I hate) I was able to purchase my Sonata for the Edmunds TMV of $19,015. The car is very comfortable and I'm getting 18 mpg city & 26 mpg hwy @ 75-80 mph. The downside. There is too much plastic used. The "chrome" is coming off the interior front passenger plastic door handle. Dealer has ordered a new one. CD player wouldn't eject, or play. Shut the engine off & disc ejected. Alarm went off while driving through a parking lot. I guess the computer corrected those problems as they have not reocurred & are working properly. Having to hold it under 55 mph for the 1st 1200 m. Excess road noise.
GL, I recommend it to my friends
I have had the car for two days only and I like it. For this price it is wonderful. Smooth engine (not noisy like I read in some auto web sites) and enough room for driver and passengers. Its acceleration is great and suspension is good enough. For these features another car will cost you at least 5000 dollars more. I recommended this car to my friends.
Worth a look.
Received this car as a rental for a week inplace of my Cadillac(what! no devilles for rent!,lol). When i got in this car i noticed it was quite decent. It was fully loaded but did not have leather(Hyundai's leather is cheap and rubbery anyway). This car accelerates, brakes and handles well, had a robust V6, sunroof, good sound system. For what? $18-19k, and thats without any discounts. I must note this car does have questionable high-speed handeling.
