Used 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Consumer Reviews
Best Coupe I've ever own PERIOD!!!
I test drove manual and automatic. Manual is ok - it's stiff and jerky. However, it had short-shift installed which was very nice. ZF-automatic 6speed on 3.8 is Excellent!!!. I bought 3.8 Track and it's fund to drive. Tough ride, but worth it. It handles curves like M3. I'll buy GenCoupe over Infinity(nissan) or Lexus(toyota) coupe. I saved money not buying Japanese this time, got more for the money and FUN to DRIVE. I love this car. When Hyundai come out with new Genesis coupe in 5-6 years from now, I'm sure it will be even better.
Hot Wheele
Just bought a Gen 2 turbo last week. What a fast, fun and good looking vehicle. People stop me in parking lots to ask what kind of car it is. I keep finding new things out about it as I drive. The 2 l is plenty fast and exciting to drive. It's a great car.

Great Performance - at any price
I had bought 3 previous Hyundai models for members of my family and none of them have disappointed me yet. But when Hyundai went into the sports car market I wasn't quite sure what to expect - the Genesis Coupe, like the others didn't disappoint, it is clearly the best yet. I have owned other sports cars, BMW, Mercedes, and a Camaro and the Genesis Coupe outperforms them all in overall performance. Love the exterior and interior designs, everyone who has checked it out has been impressed. The interior is plush but sporty with a cockpit feel to it, the controls are easy to use, and the technology of bluetooth, XM radio, and Ipod connections add to the exceptional performance of the engine
People Keep Asking
People keep asking me about this car and commenting on how great it looks. I get a lot of "thumbs up" when driving down the road. I was hesitant to give up my Saab 93 convertible but am glad I picked this car when the market fell out from under Saab.
great value but with a caveat
Bought the base model with automatic trans. and have been test driving (breaking it in ) since got it. Generally fun to drive but base model lacks power and engine is noisy like hell during 1st. and 2nd.gears upshifting. Even while it's in idle the throttle vibrates like a wild pony. Other than that it's been great so far - the technology included like Bluetooth, XM radio, Ipod connection can't be beat. The handling is great - you can feel how firm the steering is, gas mileage not bad .either
Beautiful is what i'm hearing
i absolutely love the styling of the vehicle that is why i bought it. i have received quite a few raving compliments on it already. gas mileage is 29 on highway and about 20 in town which averages to about 24 when driving both. it definitely feels like a sports car. my only regret is that i did not buy the top of the line. money was tight and i didn't feel justified spending too much (i bought the 2.0 premium, but i really, really wish i had spent more to get the bigger engine, the fog lights, side mirror lights, etc. i was able to have a spoiler added to the premium package by the dealer and the spoiler really makes the car look great. nothing else out their compares!
In the Beginning
If this is how Hyundai enters the sports car market I can hardly wait to see the refined product a few years from now. Handling is excellent. Power& low end torque are good. Exterior styling is luscious; far better than the vanilla g37,370z, mustang and the clunky camaro. Interior styling is pleasing and the seats are way comfortable without sacrificing support. Forward visibility is excellent. Rear window visibility not so hot; proper mirror adjustment compensates nicely. Whether driving in town, on the interstate, or backroad twisties this car behaves admirably. Steering is responsive and provides good road feel. Rear end feels hooked up and predictable when pushed to this car's limits. Great car!
Daily Drive
Traded my BMW 328 daily drive. The genesis coupe is really fun to drive. Seats are luxurious and comfortable. Handles great on all the turns and the catback has a great sound with the 6 speed auto climbs the gears nicely. My weekend car is C6 corvette but both equally fun to drive. OK I took off the huydai fron grill and replaced it with the chrome aftermaket grill for looks.
A Fun and Awesome "Genesis Joyride"
What a terrific car! Look out Infiniti G37 and BMW 3-series - the Genesis Coupe IS the best designed coupe for the value! I love just about everything on the 3.8 Grand Touring I purchased six weeks ago. Overall performance and acceleration on the 6-spd auto transmission is excellent and I love the "shiftronic" option with the paddle shifters. I chose the black exterior color, which contrasts nicely with the reddish brown leather interior of the GT. The high-tech gadgetry (the voice- activated and touch-screen GPS and Bluetooth) makes the Genesis Coupe so much more fun to drive. People ask me when they see my car, "That's a Hyundai?" and I proudly say with a smirk, "Yes, it is!"
Sweet Ride!
Finally picked up my Gen Coupe and it's a blast to drive! I've always wanted a rear drive coupe and have to say I'm most satisfied. Got mine for $31,500 and is the best money I've ever spent. Too much fun. Super smooth shifter, love the limited-slip diff, the Brembos are fantastic! You must get the track version if you get one! Why not spend a few more bucks and really deck it out. The car is so incredibly solid feeling. A friend of mine has a 350z and it already looks out dated. The Z is definitely a fun ride, but not for the price and the difference in technology compared to the Gen Coupe. Did anyone hear Hyundai spent around $700 mil and 100 engineers developing this platform?
