Used 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe Consumer Reviews
3.8 Liter Track Sweet Ride
Fantastic low end power. Competitive gas mileage. Decent somewhat original body style. Solid chassis, almost too stiff. Almost no body roll. Nowhere to be found. Very limited availability, especially on west coast. Will never be common like mustang. A little slower than g37, 370z, camaro v8, and mustang gt but has a strong package all around.
Get the V6... Awesome car!
So I am a recent college graduate and I wanted something that would be fun to drive. I first tested a 2.0Turbo automatic and a 3.8L V6 manual... initially the clutch was a bit rough to get use to but after two test drives I was convinced. The V6 is very powerful for the price and just everything about the car feels like your not paying enough. The base V6 still has the ipod connections and interface, blue tooth, black leather, auto headlights and climate control. Don't think that you need the upgraded sound the base sound is still great I was very impressed. Do yourself a favor and get the manual V6 feels and sounds like a muscle car.

What a car!!
I've had my Genesis Coupe GT for only a week now but all I can say is "Wow, what a car!" After test driving a Camaro and then laughing at the salesman when he told me of the $3,ooo minimum mark up above sticker, I tried my luck on a Pontiac G8. Nothing doing there either. So I went across the highway to the Hyundai dealership to test drive the Genesis Coupe, and boy am I glad I did! The Gen Coupe handles amazingly on all types of roads. I've already driven it on the interstate, local roads and hilly, winding roads as well. Power is abundant, and the transmission shifts smoothly. The suspension and cornering are sports car tight and it hugs the road like it is bonded to the pavement.
fun!
It may have been my mid-life crisis decision, but was a great one. Beautiful car. Can not look at anything else because others look way too plain after driving this car. Keeping it in the garage for now, but, love to leave it out and look at it out the window. Listens to me. When I want to go, it goes, when I want to stop, it stops, when I want to turn without stepping on the breaks, it turns. Wow!
Hot Wheele
Just bought a Gen 2 turbo last week. What a fast, fun and good looking vehicle. People stop me in parking lots to ask what kind of car it is. I keep finding new things out about it as I drive. The 2 l is plenty fast and exciting to drive. It's a great car.
Great Performance - at any price
I had bought 3 previous Hyundai models for members of my family and none of them have disappointed me yet. But when Hyundai went into the sports car market I wasn't quite sure what to expect - the Genesis Coupe, like the others didn't disappoint, it is clearly the best yet. I have owned other sports cars, BMW, Mercedes, and a Camaro and the Genesis Coupe outperforms them all in overall performance. Love the exterior and interior designs, everyone who has checked it out has been impressed. The interior is plush but sporty with a cockpit feel to it, the controls are easy to use, and the technology of bluetooth, XM radio, and Ipod connections add to the exceptional performance of the engine
Beautiful is what i'm hearing
i absolutely love the styling of the vehicle that is why i bought it. i have received quite a few raving compliments on it already. gas mileage is 29 on highway and about 20 in town which averages to about 24 when driving both. it definitely feels like a sports car. my only regret is that i did not buy the top of the line. money was tight and i didn't feel justified spending too much (i bought the 2.0 premium, but i really, really wish i had spent more to get the bigger engine, the fog lights, side mirror lights, etc. i was able to have a spoiler added to the premium package by the dealer and the spoiler really makes the car look great. nothing else out their compares!
In the Beginning
If this is how Hyundai enters the sports car market I can hardly wait to see the refined product a few years from now. Handling is excellent. Power& low end torque are good. Exterior styling is luscious; far better than the vanilla g37,370z, mustang and the clunky camaro. Interior styling is pleasing and the seats are way comfortable without sacrificing support. Forward visibility is excellent. Rear window visibility not so hot; proper mirror adjustment compensates nicely. Whether driving in town, on the interstate, or backroad twisties this car behaves admirably. Steering is responsive and provides good road feel. Rear end feels hooked up and predictable when pushed to this car's limits. Great car!
Daily Drive
Traded my BMW 328 daily drive. The genesis coupe is really fun to drive. Seats are luxurious and comfortable. Handles great on all the turns and the catback has a great sound with the 6 speed auto climbs the gears nicely. My weekend car is C6 corvette but both equally fun to drive. OK I took off the huydai fron grill and replaced it with the chrome aftermaket grill for looks.
What a Blast!
I visited the dealer to look at the Sonata but the Genesis Coupe caught my eyes. The dealer also offered me a "can't refuse deal" for $24,000. I had looked at the Genesis Coupe last year but since I already own a turbo charged Mitsubishi Eclipse, I walked past it. This time, after test driving it, I promptly turned in the Eclipse and became an amazed owner of the Genesis Coupe. My neighbors were astounded that its a Hyundai. I get stares everywhere I drive. So far, the car's been perfect... no problems at all. Even the bluetooth works well, although sometimes it doesn't understand names.
