It’s a great looking car, but don’t buy it.

I’m a young guy and wanted to feel accomplished buying a new car, and found myself getting a new elantra because my father had a 2005 that lasted many years and still drives as of 2022. Not only did I have to suck up a $6000 markup and non sensical add on BS, but the new car I’ve taken in has completely ruined my perspective of Hyundai. First of all, the power train warranty is no longer as extensive as it once was. So if your IVT goes out, prepare to pay for it because Hyundai will rat you out in anyway to not pay it. Second, the cars paint is TERRIBLE. My softest towels will scratch the paint and it looks HORRIBLE after 1 day because of how much dirt shows up. I only have 4K miles and tons of chips all over the front end of the car. The bumper and hood seem to have some of the weakest and thinnest paint in the current car market. The interior is EMBARRASSING. Your fingernails will scratch every damn piece of cheap plastic including the steering wheel. Tons of creaking and loads of pointless and downright hideous dash designs that will surely warp if you park your car in the sun. The IVT is sluggish, non-responsive, and hogs the hell out of the engine when coasting. It’s one of the worst feeling rides I’ve ever had. Now the good! INCREDIBLE MPG!! I get 55 mpg in the CITY without the hybrid model. You take it easy and she will pretty much sip that gas. Engine is quiet, and so is the ride. I LOVE the design of this car!! The exterior looks way more futuristic than it’s competitors. The keyless trunk is nice, the layout on the steering wheel is legible and functional. Entertainment center is responsive and really nice. Now what do I overall think? I think this car is amazing if you’re a commuter just looking for a nice ride with good mpg. But if you like a nice interior and a durable exterior, stand clear of this moving pile of garbage. I honestly can’t see this car looking remotely good after even 5 years from now. But, hopefully it’ll hold up Hyundais somewhat decent power train reliability and prove me wrong.

2022 Elantra N seriously a fabulous car

The list is short and quite irrelevant for the list of things I don't like about my new phantom black Hyundai Elantra N. It boils down to a lack of electric seats, a slow wireless charging pad for your phone, and a poorly placed trunk release button. I am a heavy person who feels comfortable in the seats of the Elantra N. These seats are firm and feel like they are hugging you as you drive. You fit snuggly in them as you make hard turns. The inside of the car is amazing with it's wonderful use of technology and great materials. This car feels like I am driving 3 different types of cars. I can customize everything about this car, from the sound of it, to how it handles. When I am driving to school, I turn the car into a quiet car so to gain better miles per gallon and to not draw attention. When I was to have fun...I turn it into a loud, roaring race car with tight steering and suspension. When I want to achieve 31mpg...I turn the car into ECO mode. From the inside, she sounds almost like an electric car. One day, I would love to take this car to a race track and try out the launch mode provided...I hear it gives an extra 5 horsepower for a short burst of time to launch your car into high speeds. There is a lot of great and fun things that can be said about the car, like TEV matching in manual transmission Elantras or the amazing infotainment system, or the awesome customization of the car, or the stability due to the red bar inserted behind the seats in the back. This car is unreal, and I feel privileged to own it.

Sexy affordable car

A sweet car that can be customized while driving to sound like a normal car so that I do not draw to much attention from the other mom's while in line to pick up my kids from school. Then...when I drive away, I turn it into a high performance sounding race car ... This car make driving SO MUCH FUN!!!! My kids are excited to go to school in Mom's new sports car now! Everything about this car is amazing. It looks sexy and drives sexy. The customization on how the car handles and sounds is amazing. I love the REV matching on my manual transmission, it makes shifting so smooth. And when I want to be naughty...I put the car in launch mode and fly from a stopped position into speed demon in a blink of an eye! My complaints are a few redundant buttons, no interior button for the trunk...plus you must turn off the car to open the trunk, no power seats, few storage options for things like sun glasses, and the wireless charger is a hit or miss in charging. If those things were fixed next year, this would be one heck of a sweet machine!

I just purchased my new Elantra limited and I love it. My car is red and it's really a head turner. Additionally it's 17 inch tires and low slink profile remains you of one of the higher priced luxury performance vehicles. There are a extensive list of safety features coupled with its outstanding warranty makes it 2022's midsized car

Fuel sipping Elantra

The most amazing fuel economy we have ever experienced. Digital readout has consistently stayed at 50 mpg or higher. Yes, we are a retired couple and do drive conservatively but not slowly. The sweet spot for best mpg is between 55 and 60. Our Elantra is NOT the hybrid model either. The car drives and rides nicely and no complaints with engine power. Yes, it does require some caution when getting into the drivers seat to avoid bumping the head but have gotten use to it. Nice trunk space but should have a split folding seat back in rear. Overall we are very satisfied with our Elantra.
