My Accent
I really enjoy driving my Accent. It has a lot of snap from the engine in every gear - even at top speed and max revs. Will I buy another one? Ohh yeah. Mike Kirk

My Car's Name is
I am a repeat Hyundai owner. My brand new 2003, 4-door, silver Accent with power everything is awesome. It might not be a fancy, expensive sports car, but it is reliable, has an exceptional warranty (just in case), and it's comfy. The new hood design actually gives it a more "esteemed" look. I'm seriously contemplating tricking it out with dark tint, trunk spoiler, spinners and round tail-lights... I know it's only an Accent but it feels like an IS300 to me!! Lots of Love to Hyundai for my Beastie #2!!
Own 2001 hyundai and put on 25000 miles
I don't own the current year model, I bought a 2001 year model brand new in 8/01. I put 25000 miles on it. I just wanted everyone to know that Hyundai accents are really good cars. It hasn't caused me any problems at all since I got it 2 and a 1/2 years ago. It has started up every time and it is really a good car in the winter. I got my car for $8400 new ( GL with A/C) with free oil for life. I liked the echo but I didn't want to spend $3500 more. The Hyundai accent is a great deal. The warranty is for 10 years. Just shop around for your car. Buy at year end or when the new years cars come in. You'll get good bargins.
my 04 accent
i love everthing about my new accent, i have been a gm buyer for over twenty years, i cannot not find what im looking for at the american car dealers, some one at gm ford and chrysler should wake up, i dont want a suv or giant sized pick up, my accent does everything well , ive had 0 problems, mine is the 3 door, i call it my mini truck , this is my third hyundai
an Accent that is eccentric
when i got this car i had my doubts, cause i have been driving japanese nameplates all my life, but this car surprised me. in just one month i had no problems at all. the car is easy to drive a manuever around tight situations and the engine, automatic and suspension work beautiful together. it is also roomy for its size and the quality is excellent inside and out!
2 Dr. Hyundai Accent
I have only had this vehicle for about a month but I am continually more impressed with it. It has quite a bit of pickup for it's engine size and is pretty fun to drive. Cupholders are great. Not a huge fan of the exterior design but value of the car for the price (with great warranty, good gas mileage, etc.) is tremendous. The good reliability review Hyundai just received by consumer reports put me over the top for buying this car.
The Way to Go..!
I have owned this car now for about 1 month..have driven 1000 miles....It is quick...clean looking...excellant stereo...handles well...nice headroom...good dash setup....with the 10year warranty it is the way to go..it is the complete package...very little to trick it out..I added the Hood protector(the Bra).mud guards front and rear. Auto vent shades for the doors...the cargo net ..floor mats (the primo ones from weatherguard) and cargo area mat...my other car is a BMW 2003 325I....and I like them both equally
My 2004 Accent sedan
I recently bought a 2004 Hyundai Accent sedan. It has automatic trans. and has the popular equipment package. So far I have had no problems w/ it and enjoy driving it. It's comfortable and looks very attractive inside and out. My only complaint is the limited handling on winding roads due to the small tires.
Great Car
Best little car around. Fun to drive, excellent fuel mileage. This dealership is devoted to after the sale customer service, and it shows. Dont pass this one up. The Accent is a keeper.
the accent is eccentric!
i just bought my 4-door silver accent GL with the power package and i love it! i was at the dealership from 10am till 359pm and the gas mileage is impressive! i love the way the car feels substanial and not tinny. the sound system is awesome! and i love the shifter feel. very precise and matches the engines performance. and it looks big inside and out! and i got it at an awesome price!
New Tires Please
Excellent build quality. The only downfall is a severe handling problem with the small, soft tires. I drive a very windy road to work every day and the Accent is very spooky on some curves. The tires feel like they are going to fold under. It reminds me of the old beetle. It a shame Hyundai can't spend a little more on safer, quality tires and wheels for an otherwise solid car.
GREAT CAR
my dad bought me this car for my 16th birthday, I'm thrilled with its exterior design and the interior as well, its so fun to drive
Hyundai
Our company has a fleet of 7 Hyundai. We have owned a total of 12. Our cars are used mostly for in-town delivery and average 45,000/car/year. We have had minimal problems dispite hard driving and different drivers using the cars.
My Hyundai Rocks!
Great car - reliable and fun.
haundi accent 4 door Sedan
Found car to be nimble and easy to drive no problems in the first two months .
This car sucks.
I just bought my Hyundai Accent used about a month ago with only 50,000 miles on it. Well right before the warranty ran out the transmission went out on it and had to be rebuilt. Then right after the warranty ran out i was driving down the freeway and the car started to make a funny noise. So i drove to a gas station and looked under the hood to see all of the oil pouring out from under the engine. This happened with only 61,000 miles on the car. So i filled the car with oil and drove home and called my friend the mechanic and he said tha the block was cracked.
WHAT I THINK
THE CAR FITS PERFECT FOR SOMEONE LIKE ME WHO BUYING MY FIRST CAR INSTEAD OF PURCHASING A USED CAR I GOT A NEW ONE WITH A GREAT WARRANTY.
Great Basic Transportation!
I bought this car for my teen age daughter. I'm normally a Honda guy, but with reasonably-equipped Civics pushing up into the high-teens-$, I decided to give the Accent a look. So far, I have been very pleased with this car. The Accent may be one of the best "bang for the buck" cars on the market.
Good car for the price
Runs good alot car for the price
Not a BMW
Ok, its not a BMW but if you can do without the glamour its a great choice.
Great Car Check it out
nice vehicle i recomend one for everyone
fun car
i love this car got it for my 16th in feb. and i dissagree with the review on handling i love it i moved out of my parents and in with my brother and its like an hour drive and all hills and curves i push 80 or 85 the whole way up there on 2 lane streets and never slow down so i get there in bout 35 mins. and my sis-in-law has 1 a 2002 and she loves her.
Fun to Drive
I've only had this car foe 4 weeks now but really like it. Not fancy but comfortable. Easy to drive, easy to manuever. Can make sharp turns, no problem. Fun to drive. Yhe only thing I don't like is the positioning of the cup holder in relation to the ashtray.
Worth Buying a Accent GT
The best car that I have bought the quality is A+. The GT model is hard to find.
Fun Economy
I drive a lot of interstate hwys. and in town. The pick-up of the engine is good with the 5-speed transmission and I average 36 mi. per gallon of gas. I like hatchback style, but a scoop might jazz it up?!.
got a mechanic????
Keep taking it in for transmission problems, will shift hard into gear and out of gear, now accelerator sticking. Dealer can't find problem till it shows up on their computer. Hasn't shown up yet, but still major problems. They ever hear of driving it or looking under the hood? How about a old fashioned mechanic who actually looks for the problem instead of relying on a computer to tell them what's wrong?
got all i paid for
i,ve had this vehicle for 1 year now and i,ve not had to return to the dealer for any warranty work. i will make an appointment for on buzzing speaker in the rt frt area of the stereo. aside from that, i feel i got a very good vehicle for a very good price. i bought the 2003 accent gt with 5spd manual trans and i,m satisfied with all aspects of the car. i will look into another hyundai when i,m ready to trade or upgrade. thanks hyundai for a fine product.
Performance in accident
This is my second Hyundai. My first Hyundai was totalled in an accident when a woman ran a stop sign and hit me on the driver's side. I was able to walk away from the accident. I did not have side airbags. I think she hit me at about 30-45 mph. I am very happy with the warranty and performance of my hyundai.
I love my car
I drive a very steep mountain grade daily and still average 32MPG! I love that the car has added safty features for both the passenger and driver in the dual airbags and steel reinforced doors
I love my Hyundai
I just wanted to say that this is a wonderful car and I would recommened it to everyone
My first Hydai
So far its been good
Reliable & Fun to Drive
My 2003 Hyundai Accent GL has been a surprisingly reliable fun to drive car. It has great pick up, Air conditioning and shifts almost undetectably. GREAT BUY!!!!! The sound system is unbelievable!!!!!
Best Car for the Buck
Rated at 33 MPG I get consistantly 36 to 38 MPG. Fast, zippy fun to drive with plenty of acceleration. Handles well even when the front tire was punctured on the freeway! What more could you ask for for $7000...
im loven it
what a great car
YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR
PERFORMANCE IS NOT GOOD. HARD TO HANDLE AND STEER. SWAYS TO THE LEFT. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. COULD INTERFERE WITH SAFETY.
great commuter car
I bought my 2004 Accent (2 dr/manual) in August at a dealer in CA as an advertised special for $6880. After adding in $1500 for dealer installed AC plus tax, license, and fees, the total came out to $9200. You get a lot of car for this price. Runs great (13,000 miles in 6 months without any problems). Average 35-40 MPG depending on traffic and speed. Did research before deciding to go with Hyundai instead of a Civic or Echo. Hyundai has really improved in quality and reliability over the last few years and I am happy with my purchase. Will definitely consider Hyundai for next purchase. Hope this is useful for others.
Great inexpensive car
Got my '04 Accent 5spd at used dealership tent sale a couple months ago. It had 4975 miles total and I got it for $6500 plus tax...around $7200 OTD! How can you beat that for a car that was practically NEW w/a great warranty? I ride my motorcycle 90% of the time out here in CA but needed an inxpensive reliable car for errands, taking the dog to the park..etc. This car so far has been excellent...no frills....am/fm cassette only but has A/C. Good on gas and drives really nice for a little car. 5spd is actually kinda peppy. Can ride 80mph w/out much problem. Styling is nice. Buy one used...they can be had for MUCH under msrp....almost 1/2 with low miles. Very happy w/the Accent!
great little car
2 dr gt hatchback, auto. 53k on the car, only 1 minor problem covered under warranty (rear windshield wiper wouldn't turn off). gas mileage could be better, but is acceptable on the automatic. VERY versatile, i had a 7 foot christmas tree inside the car (with the trunk door closed). very comfortable, love the lumbar on the drivers seat. drives very well, corners are fun with the sport tuned suspension. turning diameter is great, about 32 ft. engine noise is pronounced, but its ok on the highway. bought it brand new (GT trim & power package) for 11,262 OTD. GREAT car, will definitely buy another hyundai.
IT'S THE BODY .............
WHAT I FEEL IS THAT YOU SHOULD OF MADE THE BODY IN A LOW PROFILE AS IN LOW AND LONG . LIKE THE 70'S WERE .
gotta love a lemon
All I've ever heard was how great these cars are. Once you buy one you'll never buy anything else. I've had nothing but little issues with her since I bought her. But they've been constant. The horn stopped working. The left blinker doesn't go off by itself. It has an intermittent ignition issue (hesitates badly only a few days out of the moth and then she's fine). The list goes on. And just recently I realized I was filling my gas tank up way to often. So I clocked it. I'm only getting 20 miles per gallon! How is that possible?
Junk
Car has had a lot of parts replaced. I spend more time in the dealship then going places. I had to get rid of the car.
