Interior ruggedness only complaint

I bought the 2020 Rodgeline, love the truck except the plastic console damaged easily, just a drop of hand sanitizer discolored the plastic. Should have a more durable finish.

I went to a 2020 RTL-E Ridgeline as it was the best choice for an all around vehicle. My wife and I are familiar with the brand having owned a 2007 and currently owning a 2013. I say best choice because I wanted to go to owning just one vehicle rather than a half ton truck and small errand runner. We vacation and tow twice a year and the rest of the time I have no need for a large truck. The Ram 1500 was great, but parking and errand running are a bit cumbersome due to the size, and the mileage with a Hemi V-8 was not the best. I give the 2020 4 stars instead of 5 based on a few minor gripes. First off is the touch screen head unit which I find a bit slow and cumbersome to use, especially without a volume knob. Honda would do well to study the UConnect system in Chrysler vehicles. The other minor gripe is interior quality......it's very good, but not quite on the level of my RAM. The MSRP on the Honda is over $43,000 and at that price point the quality should match the window sticker. You also cannot get ventilated seats unless you buy a Canadian model, which I find puzzling. On to the good. 1st, the ride is great. Compared to other mid sized trucks the RL is a limo. 2nd, the cab space. The Ridgeline is wider than its competitors which allows a greater degree of comfort and roominess. 3rd, the trunk. Very handy place to carry things, and it locks!. 4th, the 2 way tailgate. Swinging the door instead of dropping it allows much easier access to the bed. One of the reasons for choosing a 2020 was the 9 speed along with paddle shifters providing the ability to select gears instead of having the transmission hunt and possibly overheat as reported by owners towing with 2017-2019 models. Would not hesitate to recommend the Ridgeline.....it's a nice choice as an all around vehicle. UPDATE: I now have 10,800 miles on the Ridgeline. It has towed our large trailer more than a few times and although it has to work on steep inclines, the V-6 is happy to sit in the 3,500-4,000 rpm range to gain the needed power. I did have a front strut replaced under warranty as it was noisy. It would creak in turns and over bumps so Honda replaced it no problem. Other than that it has been rock solid and still the most comfortable and spacious mid size out there. UPDATE: Liked the refresh in 2021 so much that I traded my 2020 for a 2022 RTL-E. With 10,000 miles so far, it is just as comfortable as the 2020 albeit with a prettier face. No problems to report. Gas mileage on this one is a bit better--chalk that up to variance due to mass manufacturing. Assembly quality not quite as good with a rattle or two to track down-mostly rear window noise over bumps.

Ok very simple I bought a new 2017 RTLT ; 2018 RTL,2019 RTLT AWD ,2020 Sport and a used 2017 RTLE .I strongly recommend to buy the RTLE because is the best option. Unfortunately the 2017 RTLE had some mechanical issues and sold it. Now I bought a 2020 RTLE and it is the best of the best everything is ok my only remark is that the front parking Sensor do not detect narrow objects in front of the car probably is because only have TWO sensors they need to add at least one more sensor also the info system is too slow so they need to increase the speed and the last one is the headlight low beam is LED but the high beam is YELLOW not LED I do not understand WHY they did not install the same LED QUALITY , the rest is PERFECT.

We bought this Honda in July of 2020 after selling our Ford Explorer Sport Trac. Yes it is a bit pricy but we found trucks are very pricey. This is one really nice comfort ride in a truck. You get all wheel drive too. Plenty of space in the cabin. Seats are all leather and very comfortable on a long ride. Some of the driving and safety aids are a little more annoying than helpful but you can disable most if you choose. One example is adaptive cruise control. It requires at least a car length space between vehicles. In the meantime vehicles jump in between you and slows you down more.however, we rarely use cruise control but if we did we would just disable the adaptive portion. The parking aids have excellent cameras for backing up or even backing up a boat with adjustable views. The electronics suck as phone, navigation and audio are ok. Occasionally it may lag or be a bit slow but we really have noticed it enough to matter. Just compared to others the touchscreen seems to lag behind others a bit. We are averaging about 20 mpg in our mainly city driving. On the open highway about 24. We love this vehicle and the comfort ride factor. It fit our needs with a really nice flat bed compared to all others that are annoying with the wheel barriers. Add in the extra storage/cooler in the bed and it really is an added bonus. We compared this to a Ford Ranger and the look on the outside is very much similar. The Ford will set up higher off the ground. The Ridgeline does have a lower ground clearance but we do not go off road at all. If you do it would be a good idea to think about how you will use this truck. Ours is just for a few home remodeling projects and daily driving and trips. There are no comparisons as far as ride quality. Add in the Honda reputation and I think the value will be much better in the long run. I would do it again but hope not for many years. Highly recommended.
