Works In Northern Canada Too!
We had always owned a Chev or GMC before in Northern BC Canada,it can be tough driving in the winter so we were concerned about moving away from the large size vehicle. However after our first 3 or 4 months we have nothing but good things to say about the vehicle and the service from Honda. Our other vehicle had always been a Toyota so it was nice to see good service at Honda as well. GMC and Especially Ford could learn a lot on how to service customers. Lastly if I was asked what weakness this truck had I would say that a more efficient diesel option would have been great. Driving Duramax diesels before exposed us to the benefits of that type of engine. Its been our best vehicle buy.
Love affair is over
I was so happy when I first brought home my ridgeline. The problems started when the first sleet and ice storm hit, when I was coming home from work that night at 10: pm I couldn't get the defroster to melt the ice off the windshield and had to pull over several times before I got home to scrape the window. My feet were freezing, mechanic said you can either have warm feet and not much windshield defrost or vise versa. Second problem, steering box under the left front wheel broke at about 7,000 miles. Next, the rear left lens cover let water in the tail light, and now, heat/ac completely gone at 26,000. I didnt realize I would become best friends with my mechanic. Toyota, I'm coming back!

A different Truck
I traded a Chevy 2500HD LT 4WD Duramax Crew Cab because of fuel prices ($4.50 a gal). I was surprised form the word go. Lots of room, plenty of power, a trunk, AWD (4WD?) and its a Honda. Gas mileage is average, 17 around town. Only one problem so far and it was taken care of at the first oil change ("swing" function on tailgate wouldn't work, "lift" function worked fine). Tows the boat with no problem getting in or out of the ramps (18 ft 3500lbs boat and trailer). The AWD works great, go to 4 LOW if you actually need to, with a button on the dash. Just go drive one...
nice truck
First and foremost i would recommend this to anyone looking to buy a small to mid size truck. Very fun to drive, lots of room, nice trunk in the bed, enough power, nice brakes. I have had a few issues with it, the rear tailgate is broke and will not swing out (handle seems broken, will get that taken care next oil change), had part of the ceiling fall down (was repaired). The navigation system works well and has a large screen but the more i use it i wish it had more features. Have not driven it in snow yet so have yet to test the all wheel drive system.
HOW SWEET IT IS!
I have had mine sine April '08 and have about 8K miles on it already, a lot of traveling out of town. However, I am very pleased with the truck i.e. its drivability, comfort, power, the rear a/c and plenty of storage inside and out. So, far not one problem.
