Used 2006 Honda Ridgeline Consumer Reviews
RidgeLine tops Blazer and Tacoma
Having driven a Chevy Blazer since 1996 and after shopping three dealerships for a new TrailBlazer, I settled on the RidgeLine for its versatility, price, and Honda quality. Ten years of improved safety features, better gas mileage, and features unavailable on the new Blazers made the choice a hands-down cinch. The fit-and-feel and ride-and-handling can't compare to anything by GM except the Suburban, which I also drive. The Amazon Green looks like something out of the movie PATTON, but aside from red, it's the most appropriate color for the RidgeLine. I was close to buying a Toyota Tacoma, but the rear seating in the extended cab is for children only, plus the RidgeLine has more style.
Eight days and 2,100 miles
I enjoy driving this truck. Where I live I have to deal with severe weather and roads and the Ridgeline has performed extremely well. I also need a truck almost every weekend and I need to car pool with adults so this truck meets my needs and did I say this truck is FUN to drive?

Honda Ridgeline
The Ridgeline is fantastic!! It gets great gas mileage, has everything I'm looking for in features, reliability, handling and comfort. My job as a pediatric home health nurse is demanding, and this truck has made a huge difference in my comfort level. This is also my first Honda, and certainly not the last! Above all, its a Honda!
2006 Ridgeline RTL
I liked many of the things about my new Ridgeline RTL - the build, the looks, the handling,.... I have hope that the Ridgeline engine will last for many years. In hindsight, I wish that I had chosen a Toyota Tundra or Tacoma instead. After only 1000 miles, my battery went dead many times and had to be replaced. Gas mileage is poor for a V-6 and acceleration on hills is noticeably lacking. I get passed by pick-up trucks with V-8's all the time. The stereo system needs a lot of improvement as well. It could use a built-in equalizer. Overall, the Ridgeline is a nice, comfortable truck in many respects but it is not worth the high price in my opinion; at least not yet!
Broken struts, damaged transmission
Only 1500 miles on this "truck" and I've already broken the front struts and damaged the transmission by taking it on a hunting trip. The roads weren't terrible -- just rutted mountain logging roads -- but the Ridgeline is now in the shop for an extended stay. I learned one thing: it's not a real truck. Don't believe the ads....
