Perfect family car
I love my Pilot.Perfect for the children, they love the Dvd system. Electrical outlets for all the portable electronics. No problems with anything mechanical.
Decent SUV w/ OK Gas Mileage
I've had a Subaru AWD Wagon, 4Runner, Expedition, Tahoe & now Pilot. Looked at MDX a long time but couldn't justify $6K more for essentially the same vehicle. AWD system is excellent and interior volume is great for the entire tribe. We pull a large Coleman pop top w/ factory hitch and after mkt E-brake no problem. Wife can get up to 27 MPG, I get 22; much better than 4R, Exp or Tahoe. We can even get 3 bikes inside w/ 40% rear seat down. Only complaint is the cheaper plastic interior pieces, that dealer has replaced so far, front seat bottom, door frame gutter. Definitely recommend to family road warriors - will keep for 200K+ miles & give to the kids fro safe transport.

GREAT Car!
picked it up 60,000 mi ago. never once been back to the dealership. 4WD is awesome.
Nice truck!
THIS HAS BEEN A VERY GOOD TRUCK SO FAR. No major problems. Oil, gas that's it!! I pull a 19 ft boat in the summer and this has plenty of power and is quiet and smooth.
Not Great, just Good
Don't get me wrong, the Pilot is an excellent vehicle. This is my 6th Honda product and could be the best to date. At the top of the list of attributes is value. You get more for your money and you know its a reliable vehicle. When I place the key in the ignition it will start. Sounds simple, but that doesn't happen with all vehicles. I owned a Ford before and it left me stranded on more than one occasion. We added an aftermarket hitch and hauled a trailer with no problem. The plastics are a little hard and the leather isn't the softest, but still a very good grade on the interior. A big minus is gas mileage and style. I'm considering the GMC Arcadia, but I love Honda value.
Love our Pilot
We have loved our Pilot from Day 1. It has been fun to drive and the AWD has been great in the winter. We love the space we have, especially for road trips. We've also found that we can fit a twin size bed, with box spring and frame, inside when we fold down all of the seats! It has been very reliable and we've only done routine maintenance. We had driven a newer Expedition before buying the Pilot and feel like we have more interior room and a less boxy vehicle. We'd recommend it to anyone!
2004 Plot EX-L NAV
So far, this is the best vehicle I've ever owned. I love it! It's comfortable on long drives. The mileage is reasonable for the size and power. There is plenty of people room with the 3rd row--Honda says it seats 8, but 7 adults are comfortable. If a child is the eighth passenger, you'd be okay. The only problem with the 3rd row seat, is that eats up 85% of the luggage space. You wouldn't want to subject anyone to the 3rd row for a road trip anyway.
Quality and Affordability
I've had my Pilot for 3 years and my wife and I couldn't be happier with it. It has never been serviced for anything other than scheduled maintenance. Plenty of passenger and cargo room. We drove it to Maine the first year we had it, which was a 10 hour drive. I drove almost the whole way and I have never been more comfortable in a vehicle than with the Pilot. I'm very impressed with the quality of this vehicle, with ample features for around $30k brand new.
Honda Pilot saved my life
When we (my family) first got this vehicle, we loved it and thought it was great. It did everything it needed to do and did it well. This winter during a snow storm, we got into an accident. No one even got a scar. The Pilot is being fixed right now and the repairmen told us that the car did very well. Although the cost was moderately high, our insurance covered it and we already get a discount due to its safety. We are Honda fans and we love our car. Although the exterior design is not great, it causes the interior to be very functional.
First Class Vehicle
We bought our Pilot new and have been extremely satisfied with it. It rides very smoothly and is very comfortable on long trips. Our maintenance costs have been minimal. I definitely intend to buy another Pilot.
I can't find a thing wrong
Like most Hondas you have to be very picky to find something not to your liking. I have now owned my Pilot over 3 years and still enjoy driving it. I can do all of the routine maintenance myself thanks to online resources.
I Love My Pilot!
I have own my Pilot for 2.5 yrs and I still love this car. It has over 40000 miles and not one problem. I recently took a 3000 mile drive thru Mexico with 7 passengers and luggage and still got 19mpg. My dad was so impress by the comfort he is test driving an 08
Overall good value
This car has been reliable and sturdy. It performs well (more responsive steering than the Tahoe) and is a comfortable ride. Gas mileage is pretty good for an 8 seater (avg 20 mpg around town).
Pilot Saved Our Lives Too
I was broad-sided by another SUV going about 35 mph. Passenger side was crushed and my Pilot rolled over. Witnesses thought we were dead, but my kids and I walked away with minor bruises. I can't say enough about the safety of this SUV and I will definitely buy another!!! Inside is roomy and reasonably comfortable
Honda Pilot
I love my 2004 Honda Pilot. I have had it for 5 years and recommend it to all my friends. I drive 50 miles a day to and from work and it has a smooth ride and handles great even after having it almost 5 years. The DVD system is great and the fold away 3rd row seating is very convenient. It has a good amount of leg room, even in the 3rd row. It has been very reliable. The family enjoys traveling in it. My only complaint is that on the highway, it does have a fair amount of noticeable wind noise.

13 Years and Never a Repair!
We lucked out when we bought our 2004 Honda Pilot. It has been a completely reliable transport for lots of people and cargo for 13 years, despite being driven a lot on gravel and dirt roads in the mountains for most of the time. We are going to sell it only because we are interested in some of the new safety features of modern cars.

Oldie but goodie
This car is the epitome of a sturdy ,roomy, great car. May not have all the bells and whistles of a later models but with normal maintenance I have driven a gem. My first part failure was a master cylinder replacement this past week
Best suv vehicle
This is the year where the Honda pilot has the least problems . The only problem was the airbags on a recall. It is very reliable vehicle in the Honda pilot years.

Great Vehicle
Overall a great vehicle, lots of room. But lacking in better gas mileage, however I did know that I was buying a SUV. Lacks body style, wheel are boring. Vehicle looks much better with 20" rims and chrome grill. However I would not pass this vehicle buy if you have a family and still what to be a bit sporty.
Over Priced Under Valued Pilot
Vehicle rides like a wagon, stiff and bumpy. When taking turns, feels as though the body is sliding on the axle like a hot wheels car. Terrible gas mileage, but not surprising for an SUV. You're paying (and dearly) for the Honda name! Vehicle can't hold a candle to their cars.
Whimpy "Pretend SUV"
Honda cars are pretty good...but their SUV's are pretentious Wannabes!! I traded my 2000 Civic on this pilot and quickly found myself stuck in small snow bank. A passing by Jeep Liberty had to pull me out and tore the front end of my pilot clean off and commented how Whimpy my Honda is!! At anyrate, I traded my pilot on a liberty and the difference is like comparing a coke can to a bank vault!
