Great car, horrible engine defect

It pains me to sell our 2022 CR-V after just 2 years because it's great inside, drives well and Honda Sensing is pretty good but I'm afraid of a car that smells like raw gas when starting and fills our garage with gas smell when parked. Honda claimed they fixed the fuel oil dilution problem but it was just a software "fix" that didn't do much of anything and I didn't learn of this till it was too late. You fill the car with 3.75 quarts of oil and then get out 4.5 of oil/gas mix when you drain it at 5,000 miles. If you let it go too long the engine will hydraulicly seize. The only "solution" to this problem is frequent oil changes (never go to the recommended 7500), don't drive in the cold, don't take short trips and disable the auto start/stop every time you go out. Sorry, that doesn't cut it on a brand new car that cost $35k. Seeing the history of how Honda has swept this issue under the rug and continues to sell this engine with no physical changes has lost us as Honda customers forever, they are simply not to be trusted anymore.

An electronic pain

I recently had a 2017 CRV EX. Great car. Great mileage. Tons of room. Few to no problems. Until the electronics broke down across the board, making the car inoperable. The part (a rather expensive one) was on backorder, possibly for months. Was it time to abandon the CRV and possibly Honda out of disgust (I have an excellent Prius)? Solution. Bought a 2022 CRV EX-L. Great car. Great mileage. Great room. Not cutting off my nose to spite my face. Love this car.

The car is good initially, but Honda made the crv with a defect, the sensor under the H on the front hood can be stolen with just a flat head, gone in 60 seconds, need to be a recall for faulty part, from 2018 thru 2022 models, that square top just pops out

Honda CRV 2022

First Car I have purchased! Was really excited till I figured out how cheaply they make cars now and days. I miss my old Honda Odyssey it felt so durable like it was invincible. I know it sounds cliche and Im probably old school but they dont make them like the used to. My advice would be to find a nice used upkeep car and cherish it and do regular maintenance. Make sure it has low mileage! With inflation this high gas is worth more than 200-250$ a month! Its more like 330-450$ a month. Dont waste your money on the crap they make now and days they are just throw away cars!
