Good car for a single person or couple, or even for a family of three. Tall people don't fit in the back seat though. I love my little Honda; the only trouble I've had is having to replace the A/C last year - which was $1,000, it has some road noise, and it's a tight fit for a big family BUT it's still wonderful and I will hopefully drive it til the wheels fall off. Has 190,000 miles right now and still going strong.

bought it new, so far 85,000 miles not one major problem, it is a little noisy on the highway, tire noise, great in town, one of the best cars I ever owned. Dealership is OK I guess have never been there again, except to look for a new car last week In town it is the best, for traveling it is a bit small, next car will be accord or like, more trunk room for traveling but we love the civic. I average 30 mpg in town and around 40 on the highway, only problem is the trunk lock (inside the car no longer works, can release it and open it from outside but Honda had a lock so you could not release the trunk from inside and it does not work, stuck otherwise no problems in 85,000 miles, pretty good now days! would recommend it to anyone needs reliable transportation, not luxury for sure but very dependable and inexpensive Update I now have 100k on the car, except for replacing front breaks, no problems. I hate the thought of replacing this car

A Quirky but Loveable Little Car

I'll start off by saying that I'm reviewing the Civic as an economy sedan, not a sports car. First, the Civic is fun to drive. It's actually a blast to drive - more so than my old Pontiac Grand Am GT was, with its 3.4L V6. Second, it's laughably cheap. No, I don't mean that it didn't cost a lot, because it did - I mean that a fill-up generally costs somewhere around $30. A side note about the fuel: with spirited driving, I still get around 30mpg. I'm anxious to take a long road trip in my Civic. Third, it's quirky. That isn't necessarily a bad thing. The gas pedal is mounted in the floor, which will require a bit of a learning curve, but it isn't anything too serious. Also, the horn...

One of the most Reliable Vehicles I have owned

I've owned a 2011 Honda Civic LX for about 2 years now, and can say without a doubt that it is the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned. I am a delivery guy and have owned many cars, most of which were not up to the task; this is the one car that has lasted the longest with the least amount of issues. I bought it with ~125,000 miles on the odo, and it is now at ~176,000 (50,000+ miles of harsh city miles). The only issues I have ever had with it are the typical ones that many have with this generation of civic: (1) rear wheel bearing, (2) cv axle, and (3) interior accessory problems (trip meter reset/MPH to KPH/Dash light dimmer switch fell apart, I was using this switch every day to reset trip meter). Other than that, just fluid changes, brake pads/rotors, tires, and a muffler replacement. As far as the car itself, it is fairly comfortable for what it is, I don't have any issues being 6ft tall. Acceleration is not bad for 4 cylinder NA engine and it handles pretty well in the corners. Enough space in the interior/trunk for me to take large catering orders without having to split them with other drivers. The ride is a little rough, especially noticeable when going over bumpy roads/speed-bumps, and you have to be careful with the front end (which is a bit lower to the ground) on large curbed driveways, as the splash shield will scrape the pavement if you don't pull in/out of these driveways slowly and at an angle. My biggest complaint is that the thickness of the A pillars create large blind spots, you HAVE to look around the pillars or you will end up in an accident. However, over time, this becomes second nature. All in all not a perfect car, but certainly the most reliable I have ever owned. Accelerates well and handling is quite good; interior/trunk space is adequate to handle large catering orders; car is pretty comfortable for the most part, although there are important things to consider when driving it. However, if you are in the market for cheap, reliable transportation, I think you will be impressed with this generation of civic like I was.

Great car but needs improvements

I just bought this to replace a 2006 Civic. The new body style is sharper, interior dash looks more advanced especially with the iMid display, love the mpg display. The car rides very good with smooth steering, however, the road noise can be high on roads with rough surfaces. The glove box and console storage compartment are smaller. I don't have near as much space to store things as I did in the 2006. Also, I don't have anywhere I can comfortable place my elbows (except in my lap) when driving. They have reduced the height of the center console storage box and pushed it further back. The door armrest is lower and further back as well. (con't)
