best car I ever owned
This has been the most reliable car, and really fun to drive! I have owned it for almost 10 years, and love it. 40 mpg is awesome.
CRX Si
The best car i have ever owned. I had a 1988 Si before that got written off, but i liked the car so much i wanted to get another one. I have never had any real bad problem with the cars and when something comes up its pretty cheap to get fixed. The car turns heads wherever i go and adding simple mods like an exhaust, lowered suspension, intake, keyless entry and power windows just makes the car so much more enjoyable. Bet purchase i have ever made
The "Boot Car"
I have had my 1991 CRX DX for almost 2 years and I still love it. It has almost 195K miles and the head and pan have never been off. I have had no serious problems with it and neither did the orignal owner before me. I am hoping to put the B16A motor in it next summer but for now I just have some bolt ons (header, exhaust, etc.) which have given it a little more pep and a few more mpg (my record being 47 mpg!!!) I don't think I will ever get rid of it! It is a great car!!
Attractive appearance and performance
Currently at 95K miles and 15 years old my HF model gets 47.5 MPG.When it was 3 years old the a/c compressor clutch failed and was converted to R134a.It cools to 40F which is just as good as R12.I can pick up the transmission with one arm so replacing the clutch was easy. The car is now worth less than my wristwatch and parts on ebay are available cheaply. I have maintained the paint and get asked if it is repainted. The air conditioner control panel cracks easily so be careful turning the knob. A replica control panel from a restoration company would be nice along with foam seat buns. The distinctive styling is still attractive and the CRX will always be the most fun for the money.
Practical/Reliable Economy!
I have to say, this is the best little commuter car I've ever owned! Hands down Honda quality is evident in this car. I get mid-upper 40s in the city and upper 50s on the highway. I live in Colorado so its meager 60 horsepower engine isn't anything that's going to win races. However, for stop and go traffic this car has treated me well. I have replaced the clutch a few times, and overall just general maintenance. I've owned the car for 10 years or approximately 477,538 trouble free miles!! Other than that... I love my Honda CRX HF!!
200+ miles and run
I have a lot of fun driving my 91 CRX HF. It dose not have a lot of power, but it get some grate miles. I was getting 40MPG with the stock wheels, now I'm getting 35MPG that due to the large 17" wheels. I have had to do some normal services. Like timing belt, drive belts, ignition cap/rotor/coil/wire/plugs, and battery. clutch and trans bearings. I think the most expensive thing was the trans work i did at 200,000miles, i spent $400 on replace clutch, trans input shaft bearings, axles because they were out, and i have to say it was not hard to do with an avg. set of tools.
1991 Honda CRX Si
In all the years that I have owned this vehicle I have never had any problems with it. The car has 275,000 miles on it and it is my daily driver. The Honda CRX Si is very reliable and with good driving habits I'v been able to get an average of 40 MPG. To me the interior is very comfortable. The only issue that may make a person uncomfortable is the low ceiling. I am 5'10 and I some times bump my head on the ceiling. The handling is great, very responsive. The Honda CRX Si does not have power windows, power locks, power steering, or power mirrors which some people may not like. I love driving this car!
Yet another "best car I ever owned"
Handles (and looks) like a sports car, gets 43 mpg winter and 46 mpg summer, has never left me stranded or needed repairs beyond normal maintenance and a new radiator. A little slow accelerating from zero, but that's how it gets great mileage. On the highway it floats. And when someone tailgates on the way home from work, I toodle along until I get to an S-curve that most people dread, then let loose and leave 'em in the dust. Over the years, 4 guys have walked up to me or left a note on the windshield offering to buy. Alas, after 25 NJ winters, my local garage (wouldn't trust this car to a dealer) has told me that the undercarriage is rusting, so time to let it go. Car was donated to charity in May, 2016.

I wish i would not sell, very regret
This is the best car I ever owned. My red crx si was perfect for Los Angeles traffic. It was great gas saver, easy to park.I used to put four big luggages. Trunk space is unbelievable big. If you find one, just buy it. I will buy another one
Build one again . . .
This is a purist's car: it does very little, but what it does, it does exceedingly well. It was meant to be a fun car to drive at the expense of practicality and amenities. That's exactly what you get. There's no flash, it's reliable, and it's as fun as any car I have ever driven. It won't blow the doors off of the other cars on the road, but part of the appeal is that it can be driven to it's limits. A simply wonderful car.
crx 91 si JUST AMAZING i <3 crx
this is the best car ever i bought it restored it fixed every thing ,,bout parts off ebay ,,did my own clutch work and am planning a engine swap i will not be selling this car and currently looking for a spare frame just in case
CRX HF Rocks
I've had it for 4 years and this car has been a great car! Low maintenance (no major repair), average 42 mpg (hard driving - lead foot), and fun to drive (even though it has low horse power 68 hp?, I can still easily go to 85mph and zig zag through the traffic at any time). People keep asking me to sell it to them. Although, I'm much older to drive this car, my heart is still attached to it. How come they don't make cars like these any more. I don't mind compromising power for mpg. After all, 68 horsepower is sufficient to pass almost every car in the cross-country highway. I can go over hills w/o much trouble. Got to love it. This car rocks!
Excellent condition. Outstanding fuel
Mileage. great mechanical condition. I perform all tune-up every 6 to 8 months, along with my 1989 CRX HF (which I purchased new in 1989.)
1991 CRX DX
Hands down the best car I have ever owned or driven. I bought it with 120K miles and now have 192K miles on it. 45+ MPG on the highway, easy to drive in town. You can park it anywhere. I had to replace the clutch, very easy repair and only cost $117. It is tighter and feels more solid than my wife's 2003 GMC. It simply never has any problems. Acts as if it has at least 300,000 miles left in it.
Never a problem
I have had this car for more than a year now, i nothing has yet to brake or go wrong. I consider myself a pretty aggresive and harsch driver, and i have hit redline and beyond many times in this car. It has never let me down, and it kept me alive when i smashed into a camaro at 70mph! good safety rating!
A truely amazing car
With the hatchback design you have endless amounts of legroom and a huge trunk. The seats recline nearly perfectly flat, the car grabs the road even with stock springs and dampers. Engine swaps with this car are almost limitless. If you wish to stick with the stock d block be sure to get yourself a japanese l3 transmission that came with the zc engines, but you must get one with a lsd...it kicks up the acceleration to the point where with the stock engine you can easily best 2000 integra gsr's in a drag race and of with the lsd it flat out burns most every car in the twisties. Not to mention its style is timeless and still catches eyes even with the car 12 years old now.
One of Honda's best
This is the 3rd C-rex I have owned. I love the fuel mileage and the looks of the HF, but it lacks the power to pass on the freeway. Good car for mods, which I will be doing to this one. Best bet is to get an Si because you will have to spend some more $$$ to upgrade other models.
love mine
This car kicks. its awesome the only maintiance i've had to do was get new ties brakes and replacing a CV joint, oh and the ac doesn't work. i was totally bummed when some jerk in a SUV wasn't looking where he was going and trashed the driver side door. oh did i mention this was 2 days after i bought the car
go cart
This car is awesome. I had wanted one for at least 2 years, then when i finally got one i could not beleive how much fun it was. always atracts attention. it's a '91 and people always pull up to me and ask if i want to sell it! all i have is NGK plug wires, intake, and muffler and i have topped it out at 115 on the freeway. (no lie!)
Honda CRX Si
The best dollar for dollar sports car ever made.
crazy
a supercharger and engine upgrades do wonders
The Best Little Car I Ever Had!
I bought this car a year or so ago. I paid about $500 over Market Value for it, but they're getting so hard to find in original un-molested shape.I have done very very little to it, except drive it, and even with 220k miles on it, it still gets a *COMBINED* 44.5 Miles Per Gallon!!! Best car buying decision I ever made!
crx, ultimate summer cruiser
i've never had a bit of trouble and it is way to much fun for me to ever let go!!
mama
awsome car
My crx
my 91 crx si is great car i win trophys with it at car shows and i race it at mid america motor plex and i havent lost yet i have a 1.6 D16a1 and dc sports headers and intake. Its quick and reliable and a good car to own my friend has a Crx Si with 200,988 miles on it and it dose ping or run rough it is still running hard as ever like he bought it off the showroom floor But unlike mine it dont look as if he just bought it off the showroom floor I think you will be happy with the owning of the Crx i know i am
Extremly reliable, fun to drive
Purchased this car for $1000, had $145,000 and have not had to replace a single part on the whole car! (besides fluids)
My dream car.
The 1988-91 Civic SI is so far the best car I have ever owned. Reliable, affordable, comfortable, economic and good looking. Taking in consideration that is a 20 year old car, I can not describe how enjoyable it is to drive.
Love this car!
Fun and Fast! I took on a new firebird with my CRX and took him all the way to the gas station, where he pull in.
Car of the Century!
The CRX, however small it may be, is a zippy little rocket that leaves the driver craving more and more road to test its capabilities. I had been the proud owner of an Si for nearly 8 years before its premature abduction some odd months ago. Though it had left me wanting something bigger and something faster, the CRX stayed with me through and through because of its nimble and driver oriented nature. Of course I had a few modifications to the suspension that allowed full control of corner balancing, and modifications to the engine that tweaked up the horsepower numbers to a more substantiated amount. Do not let the car in its stock form fool you; there lies a beast within!
Great Value,Great Performance, Great Car
I really love the Honda CRX. Gets great gas mileage. Extremely reliable. Never have had any problems with the car. Only regular maintenance required (oil change, tires, brakes). I recommend the car very much. Drives extremely well.
BY DAVID STYLE: SI
My Crx The best car that i every owned .The money u spend on the car for gas is great. I like them so much i have one in my backyard for a project if there was one thing i would change about them it would be nothing. there very fun and chicks dig them.
Wish Honda makes a fifth Gen. CRX
Bought a 1988 Honda CRX DX model for my first car because I always wanted one and it was and is my dream car. Today I own a 91 CRX Si and I have to say I dont want any other car. Its fast, reliable, comfortable, amazing on gas, easy to fix, fun to drive, and holds its value very well. Wish Honda would make another with a more powerful engine, more engine space, wider and above all dont make another Del Sol. Dont change the back but modernize the front. Never getting rid of my two CRX's, even if it's totalled!!!
Awesome
i bought this car for 1400, from a dealership it had 305,000 miles on the orginal car and motor, and it still rans like a champ. Raced a 1.8T jetta and WON from a stop light. I now own 2, and my boyfriend owns 1 and is turboing his ZC engine. I would highly suggest this car as a race car or a daily driver. I am selling one for 3300 because owning 2 is no longer needed. So if you find this rare car buy it you will not be disappointed
1991 CRX Si
This is my seconds CRX Si and I absolutely love these cars. The interior is roomy, with plenty of legroom for both driver and passenger. The pedals are positioned just right for heel and toe downshift for canyon carving sessions on your favorite backroad. The lack of power assisted steering and 2100lb weight equal a car that transmits everything about the roads surface to you through the wheel and seat.Overcook it into a corner and understeer is present, however because of the short wheelbase, lift off the throttle too fast or trail brake and oversteer materializes itself in one hearstopping twitch.Otherwise the car is a jewel and I don't think I will ever get rid of it.
Poor Man's Ferrari
This is my second 1991 Honda CRX Si, in the past 10 years and I've never grown tired of it. It was in mint condition when I bought it from the original owners back in 1999 with only 48k miles. Since then I've done the basic maint. for a vehicle of this age (brakes, timing belt, shocks, etc) as well as upgraded all of the suspension, motor, and exhaust systems. With gas mileage of 36 hwy and performance that beats any new compact under $20k, I won't be selling it any time soon.
crx, ultimate summer cruiser
i've never had a bit of trouble and it is way to much fun for me to ever let go!!
Great little car
I bought this car new in 1991. It now has 299,700 miles on it and still gets 45-50 mpg. I never expected to have it this long, but I can't part with it yet. It has required some repair- clutch, alternator, cv joints; but overall it has been a very reliable, cheap car to maintain.

Quality unmatched!
A friend of mine had one and I liked the car but didn't like what she was doing to it. So I wanted to make one better than hers. So, I found a CRX and from the first time I saw it I wanted to drive it fast! After I had it checked by my mechanic and he gave me the okay, I bought it. I paided $4k. I over paid because it had only 76k miles on it and was in good condition. It only has a 92hp engine but don't forget that it's small and light weight. You can smoke Civics and many other cars. This car has a huge aftermarket too. Parts aren't hard to find. Gas mileage is superb! Over 300 miles a tank.
CRX the hottest car ever
I have always wanted a CRX. Before I knew anything about the aftermarket mods that could be done to it, the look of the car was so attractive to me. It is a unique car. I bought mine with 142000 miles on it. No problems and I have put another 3000 miles on it. I plan on completing a swap on it in the near future. It is a beautifully handling car, a lot of power (even with the 62 hp Hf), and gas mileage is beyond compare. Even with high gas prices I can still fill the car up with a mid grade and higher gas for less than ten bucks.
Honda's best (discontinued) car!!
Visualy, this car's exterior design is just amazing, and it's one of Honda's most aerodynamic. While most 2-seaters barely leave you with enough room for your groceries, this little car has an interior capable of transporting 2 adult sized bikes + 1 passenger (this is NOT recomended, however!) While the stock engine seems far underpowered by todays standards, at around 2k lbs and equiped with the superior dual-wishbone suspension, this car is quite nimble. Did I mention the gas mileage? Well, drivers of the HF model still brag about their cars getting 45mpg. To beat that, you'll have to buy gas/electric hybrid.
Best car for gas and reliability
I bought a used 1991 Honda CRX in 2009 this thing got 35mpg and fast quick sporty while doing it. Never once stranded. CONS: Little road noise in cabin only 2 seater but overall a great car sadly sold it a month ago to a person who needed a car and payed me more for what I paid for it. HONDA please bring the crx back in production!!!
my baby
This has been a terrific car. It has withstood my 3 teenage sons as they grew up, it continues to keep on going. It seems to have lost a little of its power over the years....haven't we all! But she's always ready to go when I am!
Best Car for a Family of 2
I have owned this car for 3 years now. I don't think there could be a better car for 2 people. Long and short drives. Its has huge leg space and enormous trunk capacity. You can comfortably sleep in this car if need be on a long drive. Speed ....... I have driven it at 118 mph and its still quite smooth.
1991 CRX Si - owned for 33 years
I have never had any work done but preventive maintenance. Oil, tires, timing belt. Have driven over 300,000 miles. Third of 3 Hondas owned. Across the USA twice, zipping through big city traffic. This was the pinnacle of Japanese car design. If it had a back seat, like the Japanese model, it would be the perfect vehicle. Honda was very innovative back in the '80's(this model came out in 1988). With tweaking (new chip) can get 50mpg. I typically get around 42 on the hwy. Only 38 city.

My Crx DX
I have had the car 8 years. It has been the best car I have ever owned. The little 4 cyl is not a power house. But it still will do 70 mph all day long like nothing. As well as get 40-42 mpg. I now have 197000. It still runs like a top. I'm quite sure it will go to 300,000 miles easily. I hate to sell it it runs so good. It's the best work car I have ever had. The a/c works great.
Perfect Pocket Rocket
The CRX is on the perfect balance point between performance, economy and reliability. For under $4k you get a fantastic sports car right out of the box with precision handling, good power, and over 30mpg. If you're into modifications or questing for speed, you can modify the heck out of these cars and beat Corvettes all day long.
pocketrocket
This vehicle first came to my knowledge in 1990. My friend had one. He loved it, it has over 200,000 miles on it. I came across mine but thought it to good to be true. $4,000 for a mint CRX with 39,000 miles on it? "I've got to see this", I said to myself. A long story short I bought it and can't wait to drive it whenever want to leave my world behind.
The Si CRX
This is one sweet little car. I have played with it for a while I haven't had a problem with it. It's so much faster that my last compact car. The styling I've added to it's already sweet looks have only given me better looks from bystanders. Also was quite easy to install my stereo. Definitely a car I will keep for years to come...
This will make U think about your Wonder Y???
I was involved in a car wreck in 1 as a senior in High School in Oct 1994. The safety latch in the seat belt never latched, causing me to get ejected from the car and permanently disabling me. There was a recall on it, not sure if this one had been fixed due to the seat belt recall.
