Review @ 18k Miles

So after 18k miles my review still doesn't get any better. The gas mileage has improved from 18MPG to 21 but that still is not good. I currently need new brakes (front & back) which i've never had to get brakes before 30k miles. I do not have a heavy foot for braking. The vibration between 60-70 MPH still exists. Acceleration seems to be getting weaker and weaker. Road noise in the beginning was bad now it's even worse.

Reoccuring loss of Power

This is the 2nd Honda I have owned a 2008 Honda accord 2.4L cyl since 2008 and I have had a recurrent loss of power on high speeds every year. The problem occurs randomly, and loss power drops to the point that it wouldn't go beyond 5-10 mph even with my foot pressed down on the gas pedal, during this time NO Engine check light comes on ,this has lasted up to an hour. I have called Honda every year to tell them about this and taken the car to 3 different dealership, all telling me that since there's no engine code there's nothing they can do. I had the same problem 2 days ago. Honda is a piece crap and this is my very last Honda. I recommend do not buy an Accord

Used to love Honda..!

This is my Third Honda Accord and by far it is the worst. I can't believe it! I had an "01" and "04" without any problems. I have had this vehicle a little over a year with 28,000 miles. The first "major" concern is the VCM engine. The vehicle surges at Highway speeds between 60-70 mph. It is enough to drive you insane....! Second is the wind noise on the drivers side. The brakes also are terrible...! I had to have the front replaced and the rotors turned at 20K miles. Now the back brakes are acting the same way at 27,800 miles. I have leather seats and it is like sitting on aluminum seats at a high school football game (Hard as a Rock). I will not consider Honda for my next vehicle..!

I bought this car with 90k miles on it. Ran decently good. At 96k miles had to replace vtc actuator made horrible noise upon start up I always used 5w20 synthetic been as required, replaced timing chain, lower ball joints wear very quickly replaced them 6 months back to back 3 times. Inner and outer tie rod ends twice, they burn oil like crazy. I added 1-1/2 quarts in between oil changes. Power steering pump leaks, the rack and pinion leaks then starts clunking. And has to be don't on alignment machine. Sway bar bushings twice, calipers relaxed twice on front, Honda said they know the issue that they used calipers on different vehicles and they're not made right and pads will clunk as well. The Honda emblems peel, the front grill chrome bubbles up. Car shakes when stopping. I've had it aligned twice and they say its perfect, and tires rotated and balanced. Starter went out at only 100k miles, check engine light comes on over, and over fix one thing then there's something else. Dealership says all is normal and cars supposed to burn oil it's normal, it's a crock of bs. Honda is now horrible, I love my old Hondas simple and easy reliable and dependable. This this is a hunk of crap. Only good thing I can say is has great gas mileage. Oh and ac works when it wants to. Honda to us all a favor stop send schematics back to Japan and let 🇯🇵 Japan build Honda they do a awesome job. These cars now suck. I've put over 6k just on maintenance only owned it 2 years and Honda wouldn't help for nothing. I sold it at 114k miles and traded it for a Toyota with 200k miles just to get it outta my site. Huge loss but my Toyota truck is awesome 200k miles and is way better than pos accord. Unbelievable Honda used to be unstoppable.

update on rear brakes

I finally had to change my rear brakes at 18904 since the wear sensor was squeaking. No rotor turning (cutting) was needed (I never turn my rotors). I did the job myself with the appropriate Honda brakes (43022-TA0-A40); the new pads also have a spring clip to help separate the pads. Honda pads also come with M77 Molykote brake grease for the shims. I don’t like to use aftermarket brakes since the one time I did for my previous Honda my rotors warped. Since the class action suit for the rear brakes was over I tried to collect by sending a letter to Honda with documented proof of mileage and cost of brakes. Honda reimbursed me for the cost of brakes with shipping.
