Never a Honda Again

It must not rain in Japan. Honda routes the air intake toward the bottom of the engine, resulting in sucking in water when driving through a not-that-deep accumulation of water in a road. Cost, $4,000 for a replacement engine. The driver's side window motor failed after four years. Cost, $600. The two oxygen sensors failed after five years. Cost, $500. Now there is a problem with the keyless entry/alarm, which won't lock and arm. All this on a car bought new and currently having 18,000 miles on it and 8,000 miles on the engine. Also, we only get maybe 16 or 17 mpg in town. Should have listened to my wife and bought another Toyota!

Great car very bad gas mileage

So far it's been a great car. Plenty of room. No major problems. Just recently the tires starting making a roaring sound. But over all a very nice riding car. Went to SC in it right after we purchased. Very nice ride. Not loving the gas mileage. Ever since I have had the car, I get 24 mpg. I think it being a Honda it should get way better then that.

No surprises as it's an Accord. There is a reason why you see so many of these out there - great car for the price (well under MSRP). Don't recommend Ed Voyles Honda - they sold us a demo (4K miles) in which we found paperwork in the glovebox as we were leaving the lot that was for bodywork from an accident! ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE! Dealer made it right by offering us an identical brand new Accord for same price (under $21K) but what if that paperwork had not been in glove box? Great car, great 5-speed auto trans, nice interior. Gas mileage very good, and maintenance costs should be very low, but will NEVER return to this dealer - Ed Voyles Marietta.

A good value but a noisy vehicle

I just bought my 2005 EX 3 weeks ago. It met a number of important needs that other cars I looked at couldn't; fuel economy, backseat leg room, and a reasonable price. This is my second Honda Accord. Honda was discounting the cars below invoice which added to what I perceived as a good value. My only complaint, but it's a biggy, is the amount of road/tire and wind noise that makes its way to the cabin. The noise is most prevalent on highways with a high amount of aggregate -- unfortunately this accounts for most of my travel. I initially thought something was wrong with the vehicle but my dealership insists the noise is "normal".

The car an 2005 ex V6 with leather is a very comfortable car. The only the I would do if I bought another car with leather is treat the leather seats because they are rough and hard. My wife sat down with buttons on her pockets and scratched the leather. Once a week with armoral leather wipes does the job.
