The background display has gone out and no clock display. Seat belt light stays on continually. Other owners at different websites have reported the same problem. Very expensive to fix. I also own a 2009 Accord and I think I better sell it before problems arise. It feels less reliable than 2003.

The brakes feels and sounds likes its grinding even after 5-10 minutes after you warm it up. The dealer ship technician says its normal but its way feels and sounds different compared to other cars especially its a 2003 car. and the dealership wanted me to pay $80.00 for them to check it out completely.

Extreme Gas Consumption

While I love the car, it is using more gas than an SUV, even though it is a 4 cylinder. It took a while to get Honda to believe me but they finally replaced the computer, catalytic converter and O2 sensor after 2 weeks of testing. But guess what, this didn't fix the problem so they shipped the car to their Toronto engineers for 5 weeks of testing. Surprise, the engineer says the car runs according to spec, Honda says tough luck. Curiously, the spec says 7 Litres/ 100 Km city and 9L highway, I calculate an average of 13L.For US readers this is more than a GM Suburban.

My Accord Stinks

Since buying my Accord in Oct 2002 I have had a terrible sulfur odor. It seems to be worse during the winter. The catalytic converter was replaced at just over 3000 miles. The dealership discounts the odor to California emissions since the car was made there. I had always heard how great Hondas were. I doubt that I would ever buy another Honda. I also have complained about my brakes. The car is going back in for the second time to have the brakes repaired.

This could be a great car. Honda seems to neglect a major problem. This is the third brand new honda I have owned. I have had extremely annoying rattles in all of them. Honda needs to address this issue. Dealership is very unhelpful but friendly. Fuzzy tape is their fix for every rattle. This has been very unsuccessful. I wish Honda would step up to the plate and make this the car it could be. That being said it is a beautiful car inside and out and the reliability is outstanding. Would I buy another honda???
