Used 2002 Honda Accord Consumer Reviews
This car is extremely reliable
I drove this car off the showroom floor in 2002. I can't say enough great things about it. For 2002, this car was loaded and came with 6 disc changer, moonroof, rear spoiler, and leather seats. I drive this car all around VA and get about 33-35 MPG on highway. I can usually get about 450- 500 miles on a single tank. It's unfortunate the newer Accords don't get the mileage this one has, however I guess with the increase in size, you compromise MPG.
What a Luxury Car Should Be
The new 2002 Honda Accord Mid-Size Luxury Sedan is the best car yet. It has all the features of a luxury car. It has a smooth ride, a sporty sound in the engine, comfortable seats, and an awesome price. The interior of the car is beautiful and luxurious. The exterior of the car is very nice. The shape of the car is cool as well. It also has an excellent navigation system.

Great car!
This is my second import, my first was a 1999 Mitsubishi Galant. This car is so much better. It is quicker off the line even though horse power ratings are the same. It rides smoother, has better construction, and better fit, finish, and quality of materials.
great car!!!!
Bought this car in 2005 and it's been wonderful. Had regular maintenance and replaced battery and brake pads... and tires but no major problems! It gets wonderful gas mileage!!! It now has over 90,000 miles and still running great.
Perfect
Ninth Honda over 18 years. Best one yet.
Predictable is delightful
When you drive an Accord, your biggest worry.. is getting doorbashed by the coupe you park next to... and that is really, really nice. The car is common, but I personalized it, getting a white one with leather and 4-cyl manual trans (makes a smallish, economical engine quite zippy and fun). I putting on some patriotic license plate frames... it's Accord heaven.
I expected better
When you first start the car after it has set a while it has loud engine noise,The dealership told me it is normal. Constantly adjust stering on highway. When windy you are all over the road. Seat springs made noise so they adjusted and lubed them now noise is back. Compartment door under radio broke, The idle jumps up and down sometimes, no bulletins and no codes The heater and air conditioner suddenly slow way down sometimes, The car turns over quite a bit before starting in cold weather, The fit and finish is nothing like they claim. The gas mileage is not that good. Now the brake pedal is starting to make a noise.
Outstanding AGAIN!
I just replaced my 1993 Accourd SE (kept)170,000 miles & like new!
Wins over Altima
After test driving the Accord EX and the Altima SE many times over several weekends, I bought the Accord. Even in its 5th year, the Accord is still a better car and a better value. I got the Nissan dealer down to the price I wanted but I still went with the Accord. Why? $3,500 less with more std features, and a much better safety rating. The new style of the Altima will wear thin after its first year and people will be wishing they had waited for the 2003 redesigned Accord. I wish I could have waited myself, but my 1989 Civic (289,284 miles) couldn't last until Sept/Oct.
Come-up
I'm totally in love with this car. Perhaps it is because I'm making a come- up from a 1999 Hyundai Elantra. After replacing the transmission 7 times - yes 7 - reliability was at the top of my list of priorities. The dealership, Sussman Honda in Philadelphia, treated me well and I got a great deal. I went into the dealership ready to buy a Civic. When I saw this car, I fell in love. Not only was it an emotional buy, but it was a smart buy too! I plan to keep this one until it falls apart, but I have a newfound loyalty to Honda now.
