Love the looks, love the power, love the economy
I purchased a 2020 Sierra 2500HD AT4 (Duramax) in November of 2020. This thing is a BEAST and a joy to drive. I've put almost 131K miles on it thus far and have not had a single issue. IMHO, the interior is better than a Ford but trails behind the Dodge. However, just because it seems less capable with technology isn't necessarily true. I have physical switches for many things that the Dodge incorporates in their big screen. I MUCH prefer the switches because I don't have to go through electronic pages to find what I'm looking for. The seats are a bit hard but are very supportive. I'm averaging a 21mpg with it at this point but the majority (80%) of my driving is highway speeds. In an attempt see just how good of gas mileage I could get, I drove a cruise controlled speed of 55 mph on a VERY flat 2 lane road for a little over 75 miles. My results, 29.3mpg, yep, you read that right. As I get up to interstate cruising speed it's much closer to 22mpg. I have hauled my 6,000 pound boat a couple of times with it and it still gets around 14mpg. Speaking of hauling the boat, this thing tows like a dream. The cameras, mirrors and tow-haul mode work great and if I couldn't see the boat in my mirrors, I would hardly know it's there. The voice command menu and responsiveness is great, no issues with it and it has always recognized what I'm asking for. The Bose speakers produce more than I can listen to, and the cab is quiet enough for conference calls when I'm travelling for work. The in-cab outlet is perfect for charging my laptop on the go and allows my wife to use the computer when we travel without killing the battery. I put a hardcover on the bed but with the multipro tailgate I rarely have to do anything with it, and I make a LOT of trips to the lumber yard for 8'+ lumber. All I have to do is drop the upper portion of the tailgate and the long lumber slides right in and is safe and secure. One thing I would criticize. It doesn't match up when compared to the other makers off-roading capabilities (manual/push button locking differentials), but I didn't really buy it for that. If you want something to do some relatively challenging off-road cruising, look elsewhere. I could go on, but suffice it to say that I LOVE this truck and would absolutely recommend it without hesitation.

Awesome ridding truck
If you want to go from a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton for towing your larger than 30’ travel trailer, this is an excellent choice. The new 6.6 gas motor will give you convenience towing any bumper pull trailer. If pulling the heavier 5th wheel trailers you probably want to go with the diesel. This truck with the gas motor rides really nice towing and empty. Don’t expect 1/2 ton gas mileage. I’m getting around 15 -16mpg highway and 12-14 city. My last truck was a 2011 6.2 Ltz 1/2 ton some performance upgrades. Long tube headers ,cold air intake levelling kit and larger tires with 20”wheels. I was getting about the same gas mileage . But had to use premium gas. When towing my 30’ travel trailer the 2500 gets between 9&10mpg (based on a 1500 mile round trip) I have owned 7 gm trucks over the last 40 years, all purchased new except 2 that were low mileage. All gas V8s, and never had any motor or transmission problems. Towed boat, snowmobile, cargo, utility, tent ,horse and travel trailers over the years. Hopefully this helps anyone trying to decide if this is the right tow rig for you. Ps I worked on the line in gm Oshawa for 46 years,if you were wondering why all the gm trucks lol.

Emission System Issues
After 43K miles I'm selling my Year 2020, 2500 HD Denali, 6.6 l diesel. Replaced the diesel particulate filter at 20K miles for $1500. The particulate heater (burner) just died at 43K miles for another $1500. Waiting 2 weeks for parts while the truck sits. After 50K miles, I will pay these repair bills instead of GMC. i am on first name basis with service dept. No thanks. I'm out.

Great truck
The truck in itself is wonderful. It uses way too much DEF fluid when pulling a trailer. The stiffer Springs in the rear are causing a rough ride with a trailer. Great power, love the camera system, love the handling, very quiet.

Best 3/4 ton on the market
I've owned and operated many different trucks for either work or home and I'm constantly surprised by the performance, reliability and security this truck has to offer. It wasn't cheap but you really can't put a price on safety and comfort while towing a trailer long distances. The improvements GM made from 2019 to 2020 are significant and would strongly suggest you do your research before purchasing a different truck - they're not all created equal. Buy with confidence. I'm a believer and will never go back.

Love Our 2500 HD Diesel
We have no regrets with our 2021 GMC 2500 HD Diesel. The mileage is around 25 mpg on the highway which is excellent when not pulling a trailer. It obviously goes down when pulling our trailer, however the power & torque that the diesel puts our coupled with the 10 speed transmission is amazing & well worth it in my mind. We have cloth seats & find them very comfortable. Very spacious inside. Quiet ride. UPDATE: I absolutely love our 2021 2500HD 6.6 litre Diesel. It pulls our 30 foot travel trailer (7,000 lbs empty) like a dream. The 10 speed transmission is extremely smooth. I find the interior very roomy, comfortable and quiet, which is noticeable on longer road trips. Ours is the SLE model but with the Kodiak package, which adds lots of nice upgrades. I've always been a GM man so can't compare to Ford or Dodge but can't think of anything negative with our GMC.
The Beast
We just Got the new 2020 GMC 2500HD 4×4 Duramax crew cab . Wow what a difference it is compared to my 2018 GMC with all the same features. What a great truck . The team at Piehls GMC in Princeton,IL with CJ,Rob an Harold made the entire process a great experience. Thank you Brett

Factory Blackout truck!
I love the truck! Looks great in factory blackout aka Black Diamond Edition Denali. I have had a couple of quality issues and it has been in the shop twice but other than that it is well built so far with 20k on it. GMC builds a good product but really needs to work on customer service. The truck is man made so it is going to break, they really need to work on how fast they can get the parts to repair the vehicle. 3 months to order and replace a factory rancho front shock is ridiculous.

Good looking Beast
Still new but love the technology and the ride. I will report more after I have more miles driving it. It is not my daily driver so after 6 months I have only 1100 miles on it. So far so good it drives great, loads of acceleration, comfortable what else could you want. It’s big so naturally it is cumbersome to park but the cameras make that manageable. The only knock other than too much plastic in the interior is with the big tow mirrors there is a blind spot when looking to the right towards the roof pillar. That’s because the tow mirror is right behind it and that blocks your view. It is not unworkable but a minor annoyance just the same. After a year of owning it still only an occasional driver with a little over 3000 miles on it. I took a camping trip and it pulled my 25 ft camper with ease. It really shines when towing and you have an appreciation of the trucks size and power. So far the only negative was on that trip my HUD quit working. A minor annoyance and when I take it in for service I will have it fixed. Well as it turned out the HUD didn’t fail I apparently didn’t realize I accidentally turned the HUD position too far down and didn’t know how to turn it back up. So basically operator error. I still have a little over 7 thousand miles on it and have taken it camping a few times and it pulls my camper with ease. Bottom line is it is a great truck. I am a little embarrassed to say the HUD issue I posted in the review turned out to be operator error. Somehow I must have bumped the button that positions the HUD display up and down and turned it all the way down making it disappear from the windshield. Anyway it was working all along so moving right along and like I mentioned before it is not my daily driver. I have a little over 6k on it and zero problems. It drives and rides like a dream.

Minus 15 000 miles. Broke down.
1000 miles away from home with large camper and 2500 GMC Sierra won't start. We have 2 cats and 1 dog with us. We bought truck for pulling our 5th wheel camper. At dealer for 3rd day. The main engine control module is out. We were told we were lucky they found 1 available. Yeh,, lucky us. We had a 2008 Toyota Tundra that we traded on GMC. It had less than100,000 miles, but we thought since we would be traveling so far a newer truck would be more reliable on highway. We were wrong. We were told yesterday truck would be ready this morning. Now, it's 4:30 pm and still no word. Read your reviews on GMC and keep looking. We only have a couple of days of vacation left and the weather here in Texas only got warm a couple days ago. Oh yeah, they found us a rental but its a Chevy Malibu. Pets aren't allowed in it and we planned on going to beach with dog when it warmed up. We have always had foreign vehicle makes except we bought a HHR. I spent every off day at dealer. Ignition, heater, ac steering wheel, brake. problems. I can't even remember everything that went wrong with it. Don't look to GMC for reliability!

Really enjoy my 2021 GMC 2500HD Denali. Great curb appeal, fantastic pulling power, very roomy, lots of utility in the cargo bed, helpful lighting everywhere, tons of improvements over my 2014.

2500 HD GMC Denali 6.6 Gas
I love love love my truck. It is stylish, powerful and durable. I am going to pull a 28' camper so I wanted a truck that I felt would do the job. I do agree with some of the other reviews, after many miles the seats are hard but that can be fixed with a lamb skin seat cover. I got a great deal on mine as it was a trade with 3,300 miles on it (guy traded for a Duramax). I would never drive the $10K difference out of it so I'm happy with gas vs diesel. The 6.6 engine has ample power for towing.

Horrible squealing noise at each stop
GMC involved as well as multiple dealers and no resolution. Guess I’m trapped for the rest of this car life with the squeals. Don’t buy GMC. Horrible service. Shame.
Perfection
The new Sierra HD Duramax with the Allison 10 speed is sheer perfection sheathed in metal. Smooth, powerful, reliable, and beautiful. I love the simplicity of the infotainment, the Bose sounds great, and this truck gets looks. Resale value is insanely good as well.

Awesome HD GMC
The truck isgreat but GMC is dissppointing. A few softeare issues that GMC cannot figure out. The diesel and tranny are great and the red exterior is awesome. Fit ahd finish of interior is very good!
2023 GMC 2500 AT4, aka the Polar Express
Love the big white durmax diesel, allison 10 speed trans and upgraded interior. Bought used with around 12k miles. Once out on the highway at ~75 mph i can get 23 mpg with this big boy. Do not like the fact that the A/C seems to take forever to engage (2-5 minutes sometimes) but will run you out once it "decides" to come on. Ventilation in the seat cooling is minimal compared to previous F250. Steering is very light all around and wish it were heavier at speeds. Stereo is OK, but could be better IMHO. Controls are OK for me once getting used to and i use factory as well as android auto. Truck is very aggressive looking and has all the tow power anyone would want. Very quiet for a 3/4 ton diesel and the turbo will make it scat for sure. It has a dozen camera angles and provides various trailer views when towing and changing lanes. Had never driven one before i bought it but overall very pleased. Have had zero issues.

Horrible abomination
First of all, I would never voluntarily drive that, but I got issued the (probably) cheapest truck available, so now I'm stuck with it. Otherwise I can't explain how in the world where Dodge, Ford and Chevrolet exists, somebody would pick gmc. Ergonomics is absolutely horrendous. Seat is too short, shallow and firm, it feels like a stool (in every meaning). Steering wheel doesn't have telescopic adjustment, so it's too far from the driver. Interior lighting shimmer in the night, causing extreme eyes strain. Headlights beam is too narrow, and spectrum is so bad you have problems distinguishing white from yellow. No idea about reliability, hope it breaks in half soon.

I have a 2020 GMC HD Sierra truck for work could have possibly the worst seats I have ever had have owned GM products for 40 years but after owning this truck could be the last. Overall good truck but interior is Garbage on these plain Jane trucks Ver dissatisfied
Blue GMC PicUp
Rides ruff, too high to get into from ground. Like the Dodge Ram's much better for ride and equipment that Dodge has available in like truck.
