Great SUV
This is not a small SUV. Driving in it will give you a feeling of safety due to its size and construction. I love driving it. The looks make people turn and look at it.

Great ride but terrible reliability
Owned this car for 2 years and took a loss and went back to Japanese cars. The car was a sweet ride smooth on the road and had great handling! However two years in and the car started having a slew of problems. First problem: gear box, car wouldn’t go into park. Solution change the gear box under warranty. Result loss of car for 3 weeks due to back order delays. Problem two: the battery on this car was clearly not strong enough to endure the cold we get in quebec. I left the car outside for one week and it died. No problem like every other car i’ve owned i just gave it a simple boost. Well GMC built a car that can’t be boosted as a ground is within 30cm in any direction of the battery resulting in blown fuses and short circuiting of electrical components. Result car in the garage for a mont as all pieces were on back order. The services provided by the dealer was amazing but GM themselves can’t seem to get parts out fast enough. When paying close to $600/month for a vehicle i expect quality and the Acadia is clearly off the mark.

Transmission Nightmare
Seeing multiple posts with tranny issues with 2nd-3rd gear shifting. We are having the SAME issues at only 50k miles. Shop replaced the torque converter and it still shutters in low RPMs or bottoms out and then shoots high RPMs when going up hills. Nobody will fix it... Warranty guy couldn't get it to "act up" because there were no hills, and would not reschedule to come drive with me. Dealership mechanic said all of the Acadias have been transmission nightmare's and they've had SEVERAL vehicles getting new tranny's, IF they can get it to act up. Save your money!
