Wish I knew better
I bought my 2009 Acadia almost three years ago she has been great until last summer my timing chain went I had to rebuild the whole top half of my engine it did not have the money to rebuild the entire engine which should have been done the oil breaks down in the engine that causes like a hardening crust that breaks off and clogs the fuel pump and screan. Now I need a new engine I need a power rack I just replaced all of my coils I believe it was called the bank sensor something like that in the front of the engine the alternator has been replaced the battery has been replaced entire front end has been repaired and replaced I'm on my third set of tires at 3 years and I don't try very far I'm a stay-at-home mom and it's not from dry rot I need a new AC compressor now that is also seized my engine light is consistently on it needs an O2 sensor at this point and something else it's throwing for codes replace my fuel pump my fuel tank and it's still hums might get the gas cap off in the gas is low if the engine is still running I can't shut the car off to fuel it or it won't restart basically at this point it's a lawn ornament I'm over under in my loan I almost half it needs approximately 4 to $5,000 worth of work and that's almost what I owe left on my loan that's not what it's even worth anymore has 145000 miles on it it's newest thing is it makes the strangest sound it sounds like I have a bass system it's a very deep bong sound I don't know where it's coming from shut my radio off so it's not from the radio but if you had like a subwoofer the deep bass sound you get is the new sound that makes and if my oil gets low which it does seem to be evaporating we don't know where it's going then it stops to Buck like its misfiring if anyone has any information on this car I'd be more than willing to listen I'm at a loss at this point I'm a one-income family I have three kids I drive 2,000 miles a month at this point getting my kids back and forth to school and work and I don't feel safe driving it cuz I'm afraid he'll break down at any time

Another fantastic American Automobile
The Acadia will put American car critics to shame. Exterior/interior styling is fantastic. It feels like an SUV but rides like a car which is perfect. Spacious and comfy. Great quality. Lots of technology.

great crossover
I believe this GMC is probably the best, quietest, smooth riding vehicle I have ever owned. Great looks, good performance, great quality built, all round great car.
Unreliable
I bought my Acadia used with 130,000 miles and a warranty. I have had it for 3 months and since then two 02 sensors have gone out ($170) and now I have to get a new battery and a new starter ($340). I am just waiting for the next thing to go wrong. One of the worst vehicles I have ever owned.. I will not be buying anything else that has GMC on it.

Best thing about it.. its not a minivan
I live in Canada, and have 3 very active boys who all play hockey. So l bought this SUV for all of us to travel around from arena to arena lugging around hockey equipment. Was pleasently suprised on the ride and the preformance. The interior has too much cheap looking plastic for my liking, but since it is getting alot of abuse, it seems to hold up to it. Gets decent gas milage for a vehicle its size. Had a issue with the defrost when l first purchased it. Dealer had to change whole venting system, but other than that, nothing. Tires are very hard to find for it.
