Wiley's Bird
The car is fun to drive anywhere, whether it be in town or out in the country. People on the street or in cars next to it are always giving it a thumbs up and it fits in, in any circle. The trim inside and out might be a little subdued for some, but that is what the retro look is all about isn't it? A couple of my friends have BMW Z3 and a 3 series convertible and they are nice too, but they weren't made to bring back that nostalgic feeling of old.
Love my Bird
What a fun car. It's an eye catcher. It's my eighth Thunderbird and I think it's the best of all.

Extraordinary Vehicle
My wife and I purchased this extraordinary vehicle for two reasons. The first; beauty (this is a beautiful car). Second; speed (you can't go wrong with 280 H.P.).
I LOVE MY TBIRD
It is a fun car to drive and if you are a people person you will love it. I must meet about four people a week that want to talk about the car! I love the way it drives and handles smooth.
Fun from the past!
Great design for a sports car. Wonderful to drive, driving out of the past and back to the future. I have always wanted a vintage Tbird now I have that car with today's features.
Thunderbird 2004 - Head turner
My Thunderbird will be a year old next month and I have really enjoyed this automobile. The top is easy to remove and comes with a storage rack that is also easy to move around and keep out of the way. I had been with MB's for the past 12 years, including an SLK, which was a complete nightmare. I find Ford's quality and workmanship with this auto excellent. I wish they had offered a hybrid model, with gasoline reaching these high levels. However, as an owner, I love driving my TB around and about.
Fantastic TB
Our Thunderbird convertible is so much fun to ride around in. It is a head turning, fantastic ride. If I had to do it over again, I would purchase the same car. My husband and I have a lot of fun driving around town and to the coast. We are trying to figure out how we can carry it with us when we begin full time camping. We will find the answer to this problem as the car will go with us.

Thunderbirds are great to drive
I bought my wife this car for our 35th wedding anniversary. We both really enjoy the ride and the style. It brings back a lot of memories about the 1950's T-birds. I really have had no problems with the car.
I finally own a Thunderbitd!
Love its look and handling. Fun to drive and own. A sports car and yet affordable.
Excellent ride
I have owned this T-Bird since October and just love the ride. Now that the weather is better (California) I have the top down most of the time. It has great pickup for that merge into highway traffic. The comfort is unbeatable. I have never owned a Ford and I am very impressed with the overall performance of this vehicle. Consider me SOLD.
Fun in the Sun!
True driving pleasure! And WOW what a head turner. I haven't had this much fun with a car since my 1970 MG Midget.
My Car "The T-Bird"
Performance is a great feeling; car responds well. Good handling & sensitive steering. Could be quicker through the gears. Seating a little stiff for long trips or a few hours of steady driving. Limited visibility when hardtop is on - tough to back up safely, as port holes don't help much. Great with the top down, or hardtop off. Car needs some kind of protection on the sides for parking purposes if you don't want dents or scratches. Seat belt arrangement could be better. Don't like boot cover for behind the seat. Car turns a lot of heads & gets many neat remarks. A fun car to own & drive.
Best Sports Car
Great style and comfort, fun to drive. I'm really enjoying owning it - insurance not too expensive for vehicle type. GREAT summer car!
A cheap rack for the removable top.
Great car... beatifull styling. Most dealer personnel are very little help, as they collectively know very little about this car. The rack for the removable hard top is a joke. I have gone through two. One the dealer could not make it work the second would not work for me. I have had the car almost half a year and have not removed the top due to this problem.
T Birds Rock!!
This vehicle has great pep and the automatic transmission moves smoothly as the car accelerates. The SST transmission lets one shift through the gears, overriding the transmission for some fun in driving. The vehicle handles very smoothly and holds the road well. The convertible top goes up and down very quickly. The retro lines catch people's eyes. This is a very enjoyable car to drive and ride in.
I LIKE IT.
Great Car. Turns heads. Have had it for 1 month only, and to this date I am very pleased.
my black bird
I have had more fun with this car than any car I have owned in 30 years.I get great remarks from anyone who has a chance to talk to me about the car.Quality is impecable.Look is awesome.Great performance. Can't say enough. Regards Richard E.
Thunderbird- a fun car
We love driving this car. The only real complaint we have is that the visibility out the back can be difficult.
needs more power
purchased a 2002 which was delivered on 05 of 2002....paid 1500 over msrp.most dealers returned premium charge because of low intrest (not basil).drive under 500 miles a year and take to some car shows along with other cars i own.an enjoyable car to drive...ron
Fun Fun FUN
I love driving this car down the street. Even after owning it for two years, and living in the suburbs of the "Motor City", it's still a head- turner.
Thunderbird performance
Only problem -- Leaks during rain or washing. Leaks occur along window seam to hardtop. Any suggestion for repair?
MY FIRST THUNDERBIRD
AS STATED, IT IS FUN TO DRIVE AND BE SEEN IN. ALTHOUGH TRUNK SPACE IS LIMITED, CAREFUL PACKING OF CLOTHES FOR TRIPS CAN EASILY BE ACCOMODATED. BECAUSE MY WIFE AND I ARE SENIOR CITIZENS, THE RETRO INTERIOR STYLING BRINGS BACK MEMORIES OF MORE GRACIOUS LIVING. WE THINK THE TURQOISE INSTRUMENT NEEDLES ETC. ARE WONDERFUL. SO FAR WE NOT ONLY LOVE THIS CAR BUT THOSE WHO SEE IT ARE VERY VERY COMPLIMENTARY ABOUT THE COLOR (MERLOT W/TAN SOFT TOP)AND THE STYLING.,
Great Driving Adventure
This is the closest thing to a 1950's Thunderbird that is possible, but with the latest in auto technology. It is fun to drive, classic in looks, and elegant in detail. I recently drove a new Jag and it does not even compare to the new Thunderbird. I do not hesitate when I say that I would recommend it to anyone that wants a sporting opinion. By the way, I am 62 years old and love the power.
Fun BUT
Traded in 2000 VW Cabrio which rode and handled better than the Bird BUT this thing turns heads all the time. Vintage Mint Green and all options. Fast enough but would like retro exhaust sound so will have that installed I think. List, $41,795 purchased new $31,990. For what it is, boulevard cruiser, it is about as good as you can get. Would like radio to increase volume with speed like many now do. Trunk just holds 2 golf bags. A really super nice cruiser.
Love My Bird
I remember well the original T-Bird. At the time, I couldn't afford one, and by the time I could, it was upsized, downsized and removed from the market altogether. While not a true sports car, it is sporty enough for most conservative adults. It handles well on the road and is much quieter than you would expect from a convertible. On the downside, it's not the best car for folks over 6' with the soft top. There is however plenty of headroom with the optional hard top. Definitely a head turner. If you don't like people constantly asking you about your car, you better not get one.
Best T-bird ever!
I've had four Thunderbirds before this; an old '57 I bought used, an '84 Elan, an '88 Turbo Coupe, a '90 Super Coupe. I liked them all a lot, but the '05 is the best ever.
Limited Edition 2005 T-bird
Most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned. The limited edition medal flake paint job is stunning in the sunlight. Surprisingly quiet with the top down. Even at highway speeds a normal conversation is possible. This vehicle has more than enough power and handling through hills and curves never disappoints. Now that this is the last year of production I am tempted to buy a second one while they still are available.
Thunderbird - Great Idea, Poor Ford Planning
I love my Thunderbird. The exterior design is a eye stopper and it's fun to drive, both with the hard top and the top down. Great performance; holds the road well. Too bad Ford was cheap on the options for the price they ask. The Corvette offers a lot more options for the price. If Ford really wants to sell high end cars they need to add quality style and options on the car.
50th on my 50th B-Day!
Ever since I was a kid growing up in the Detroit Suburbs & going to the Ford Employees summer Day camps at the Ford Rouge & assembly plants, Greenfield Village and the Ford Test Track; seeing those cool convertible T-bird of the late 50's and early 60's at the Ford Rotunda Building (burnt down in mid 60's), did I want my own Ford Thunderbird Convertible. And although I have owned over 25 Ford, Mercury or Lincoln cars since my first Pinto at age 16 have I finally got my wish. On my 50th Birthday, I drove down to the nearest Ford Dealer that had the Gold 50th Anniversary T-Bird and I bought it!
Bird up
Calm, cool, and collected. That's the way this car rides. Not loud or proud, just right. I have the all black and when the sun is out, there is nothing more fun than this car.
