I’m om om my 3 rd my first was a 1991 Ford Ranger ext SB 3.0 5 spd bought for 700$ drove for 3 years and sold for 1500$ my 2nd was a 1994 single cab2.3 sport XL 5 speed SB also2wd great on gas very easy to drive it did have to have 2 leaf spring mounts replaced and clutch awesome little truck bought it for 350$ drove for 3 years sold for 1000$ And on 7/11/22 I bought a 1996 Rangerxlt super cab for 1500$ off a elderly man who owned it for 16 years it only has 120,000 miles said a/cwasnt working I got a can of super chill and recharged it it and has ice cold a/c now it has 3.0 auto runs great 17mpg around town 23 highway I had to replace tranny cooler lines they had small drip and I just used two pieces of rubber hose and hose clamps and it’s not dripping anything now it has hitch and enough power for what I need also came with 4 extra tires on aluminum wheels and a cap which I will use during winter time in Southwest PA it has enough power for a daily and I can haul 1000-1500 pound loads without over working it I already had people offer me 3000$ for it but I’m keeping it. They are very easy to work on the guy I got it from kept log book on every thing he did maintenance wise changed oil every 4-5k last ten been running synthectic oil in it most he ever had to do was change ignition switch very nice daily commuter and weekend projects. You can’t go wrong with these Rangers I love them I also have had 6 Chevy S-10’s they both have there qualms but these were both some of the greatest small trucks built currently I am building my 1994 GMCSonoma Ext Cab 2wd with 5.3 LS with 700R4 with Ford Explorer rear end which will be my 2 nd GMC Sonoma V-8 build for weekends and car shows who knows I may end up doing a Ranger V-8

This is a great little truck. You can't beat the gas mileage, Warn locking hubs, and it keeps on running. It is almost an antique now and I don't think I would ever part with it.

My first American-made truck purchase. Reliable truck. No major problems. Mechanically good. No rust. Good value for price paid. Has met all expectations.

I've now owned my Ranger for 4 years and through Minnesota Winters of -10 to -15 below zero at nights it always starts and runs very well. It has always been a very reliable truck. It has a nicely designed dash when speaking of controls for air, heat and they work well too.The real only negative is I have had off and on issues with my check engine light turning on and I have it checked and they can't make sense of it. I have had 3 different shops look into this issue and get nowhere.
