I have only owned my stang for 4 months but so far it hasnt given me any problems yet. It is good on gas and has a strong motor. Ive replaced the stock air intake with a performance one and the exhaust as well. The pickup on this thing is great. compared to the escort GT i owned before this, its a new and better ballpark.

LX 5.0 Hatchback

Bought very good conditions. Rear is too light, I spun once. Now, I buy Traction AA tires. Although, seat is uncomfortable and interiors are somewhat cheap detailed, it is a fun car to drive. Very strong engine. Brakes do not match the power this vehicle has. The 1992 Ford 302 cid / 5.0 engine is very reliable with all cast iron w/ forged pistons! T-5 Stnd Trans is not that strong if you are a "Power User". TREMEC 3550 trans is a very good replacement, though. Also, there are plenty of diff types of replacement parts for this car OEM and aftermarket.

OK. This was my first car and I still own it, I purchased the car back in 2003 with under 120K miles. Normal wear and tear over the years, and normal parts going bad got replaced after 58K miles I had put on her, she's close to 180K miles now. The car originally was black but I went and had it painted it on electric blue with black stripes, she still turn most men heads for the good condition of the car, it's a hatchback not even the LX, still she needs some interior fixing, and the materials are of good quality and had held pretty well. The only two parts I dislike of my fox is the AOD, I had to rebuild it for the known weak OD band, and the fact that the same AOD robs a lot of power and acceleration on these cars. Other than that is just good things, I love the power, the fact that many modern sedans have more power but these beauties can still keep up with most modern cars in a drag for being light and great on torque, love the good old 302 pushrod, the way it sounds and how smooth & relaxed the engine feels while cruising. It's a true muscle car, I love how she looks, I really enjoy every time I drive her. The steering feels good tough I need to replace broken bushings from the front sway bar so it feels again as tight as new, I got stiff struts/ shocks and the car handles like on rails. I own this car, and a 09 GT CS which is of course a superior car in speed and comfort but no faster car or newer car will ever replace the satisfaction and happiness that feels when driving a true old school tech trouble free muscle machine, and no other engine besides the voodoo sounds as good as the 302 and the classic Mustang engines. She's a true classic car now and I'll keep her forever. I also owned a 96 GT that car had bolt ons and was fast & reliable too but I had three Mustangs already so I kept the newer one the classic one., and a Toyota truck for banging off road.
