An Affordable Luxury

The 2016 Ford Fusion SE model with the luxury package is what I purchased. All controls work well and are well placed for me. The center console sits too far back when my girlfriend drives it, but considering that she's a bit short, it's to be expected. The air conditioning works OUTSTANDING for East Texas heat and humidity. My only complaint about this car is the onboard navigation. It is not up to date with current roads and is a bit outdated in its style of use. Other than that, I'm very well pleased with the car.

I bought a 2016 fusion with the sports package EcoBoost awd. I had high expectations for this car and thought if I did the proper maintenance and service at the Ford dealership then I should have a good car for years to come. Oil change every 5000 miles, synthetic oil, replaced filters when recommended and several other things done when recommended. In short anything this car needed it got. Well, my car is at 60,831 miles and Ford just told me the engine is shot. This car has never been beat on. I park it 500 yards away from the nearest vehicle at the store. Not one ding on it. Ford informed me the drivetrain is only good for 5 years or 60,000 miles. They told me $7,700.00 for a new engine. I really liked this car, how it looked, and how it ran. Too bad I'll never buy another Ford again. This is what you get for taking care of your car. I gave it a 2 star because I really liked this car. It deserves a 1for a shitty engine

Good somewhat basic Car

Got this car used with 60,000 miles. I have put about 25,000 more on it and still runs great. Hasn't needed anything major done to it. I purposely got a more baseline model so it has less stuff to go wrong. Its still got a decent amount of technology in it without costing thousands to fix. Headlights are a bit of a pain and most shops will drop the bumper to replace bulbs. Driving this car is great. It handle good for a midsize sedan. It does have a decent amount of body roll but will still hold the road just fine. The interior is awesome and fairly ergonomic. Having a go old fashion shifter is great. The dial shifters that came with later models is silly and shouldn't exist. If you live in areas with snow put GOOD all-season tires on it or it will drive terribly. I personally use Michelin defenders and they do great. Also be aware if you drive over speed bumps or have a curb going into your driveway. The front end is pretty low and will scrape easily. If you are a bigger person the seats can be uncomfortable after long periods of driving. The pros outweigh the cons in my opinion. Its a stylish car that's reliable and fun to drive. Used base model versions sell for a really good deal and will last a good long time with proper maintenance.

Fuel economy let down

2016 Ford Fusion Titanium 4dr Sedan AWD w/EcoBoost (2.0L 4cyl Turbo 6A)

I have the 2016 Titanium AWD 2.0. Sticker says 22/31 mpg. Mine gets 16 city and 19 combined. Pretty poor. If I knew the actual was so far off from the claimed I would have passed on this car. Car was falling apart so I dumped it at 6 months old. Not worth anything near sticker, nobody wants them on trade either.

Stunning and Powerful

I've had this car a month and it has been an absolute dream. I traded in a 2014 Focus which turned out to be one the worst cars I have had. I was worried that this car would feel too big or too boring coming from the Focus. That has turned out to not be the case. This car is very comfortable and the quality of materials is outstanding. Soft touch areas surround the cabin and there are lots of little details that make the interior feel luxurious. The exterior is very sporty, especially with the SE Appearance Package. My car is also equipped with the SE Technology Package which I have to say is a must have. The sound system is amazing and the entertainment system is easy to use and is intuitive. The touch sensitive screen can be a bit laggy but it's nothing that bothers me too much. My car has the 1.5L EcoBoost engine. This car has a lot of power. I have noticed that the fuel economy is less than what the sticker states, which I knew about before choosing the Fusion. I am getting 22 mpg with mostly city driving, so it's not too bad. I would definitely recommend the Fusion! I have been impressed thus far and do not regret my decision.
