Best car I’ve owned EVER
I sold my first new car in October 1969, a 1970 VW Beetle. That was the start of my 40+ years in auto sales, manufacturer management and dealership ownership. I’ve had countless demos and personally owned vehicles and NONE has ever come close to the quality and driving pleasure afforded by my 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid bought new. Absolutely solid construction, sports car handling and incredible driving comfort. The super gas mileage is a ‘plus’. My fear is a ‘texting teen’ will wipe me out one day since they’re no longer built. I look for excuses to drive this car and if I didn’t get a handsome pension from another car manufacturer I’d share that company’s name!

12 Volt Battery Issue Causes Intense Frustration
I traded in my 2014 Honda Accord Touring Hybrid for a 2020 Ford Fusion Hybrid Titanium. For the first six or seven months I had no issues with it. It's a comfortable car with all the latest "bells and whistles" and the dimensions are similar to what my Accord had. But then the 12 volt battery (the non-hybrid battery that all vehicles have to start them) began having a draining issue. If the car sat in the garage for five or more days, it would not start. A jump start takes care of the problem, at least for now. At first I suspected the dash cam that I ordered from Ford was the culprit - perhaps it was not going into parking mode. The interval for when I needed to jump start the car got shorter, and when it got down to two days I disconnected power from the dash cam. It didn't matter as the very next day it failed to start again! A battery test at Batteries Plus was inconclusive, but a test at O'Reilly Auto Parts passed with flying colors. The employee who performed the test suggested that this is a common issue with Ford hybrids and a little online research that I did backs up that opinion a bit. The car is now sitting at the dealer - two days in, no issues detected. In fact, they did an thorough test of the battery and it is in good shape. They will keep it another four days and see if that is enough to drain the battery and then test to see what is causing the problem. If they can't figure it out, I'm not sure what I will do. I can't go through life wondering if my car is going to start or not! I don't like car shopping, but I may end up with no other choice. Based on my experience, I unfortunately would not recommend this vehicle, which is sad because before the mysterious battery issue began I was really enjoying this car.

Good fuel economy, but I would not buy one
We rented the Ford Fusion Titanium Hybrid to travel 800 km each way. The car is good with mileage (averaged 6.8 L/100 km) on the Canadian prairies. Very good for a mid-sized sedan. Luggage space is good. Car is a little twitchy around big trucks and in the wind. This took some getting used to. Two items that would cause me not to buy this car: 1) windshield wipers. Design is terrible and annoying and 2) water during a rain storm is filtered directly down the middle of the rear window which obscures your vision in the rear-view mirror. This is horribly designed!! The last factor that would cause me not to buy this vehicle Ewald that the USB port chargers quit working. Luckily there was a fix when I googled the issue. Easy fix - hard reset of the entertainment system. Unfortunately, this causes you to lose all your presets. Not a big deal to us as we were renting, but would be a big PITA if this was an owned vehicle - having to replace-program all the information in the audio & nav system.

Not a penalty box
Don’t know what gas mpg I’m getting but have had the car 3 weeks, driven all over and still have half a tank left and 230 miles. So gas mpg so far seems stellar. Roomy, comfortable and while not fast, it’s fast enough. Even in eco mode which I use a lot. Bought low mileage used. No regrets at so for. It’s actually kinda fun to drive.
Nice Ride
Car has 48,000 miles and no problems at all. MPG 44. Smooth ride and nice infotainment
