Edmunds Reviews are right on the money w this one
2016 Titanium, Plug in Hybrid. Leather seats I was looking for the gas mileage with a decent ride. Thank you all for the input on this car. The overall reviews were right. It has a quiet ride in town and on the highway, struts are clunky as predicted. The gas mileage in town and on the highway is as posted by Edmunds. Trunk is small as stated in other reviews. The Car is comfortable and easy to drive , Steering is solid, and the brakes are easy to get use to. Car is predictable and has power is enough for every day driving. Instrument cluster shows what and how much power you are using. Two week and a thousand mile on it the touch screen Nav / radio / Heat /phone are not very intuitive while driving at 70 MPH. The manual radio and heat controls save you some frustration as you can adjust things on the fly without pulling up the needed pages on the touch screen. I bought the Ford for the hybrid "full size" car ride and best mileage. I love the short trips on 100% electric and I can remote start the car for summer climate control without it running the gas engine. Over all, I'm pleased with the car.
Plug-In Hybrid - a real surprise
Both of our cars were becoming expensive to own and we decided to try and transition to a one-car family. Having owned a Hybrid before, we wanted to replace our cares with something somewhat eco-friendly. Our search put us into a this Energi. As an avid researcher, my expectations were clear. My wife was not so clear on hers, mostly she was going with the flow. After much trepidation, a AAA Pre-Purchase Inspection, and driving the car on TWO one-day test drives fom the dealership, we purchased it with 82,000 miles. WOW! It's a joy to drive, solid, quiet, and COMFORTABLE? We both have had back surgeries and every time my wife gets into the car with me she says "I can't believe how comfortable these seats are!" We love it. We' put almost 200 miles on it so far and even with only a 20 mile EV range, can barely see the gas tank needle moving. What a great vehicle.

Do not buy an Energi
The range for EV driving is actually 10 to 12 miles per charge, much less than the advertised 20 miles per charge. There is no truck space. The climate control is bad and the windshield fogs over all the time unless you keep the defroster on the time. Other car manufacturers have better technology than the Energy. The original purchase price is very high for what you really get, and resale is terrible. Resale 2 months after purchase is about 1/2 the original price.

Buy one!
I really love this car. Honestly, I wanted the HOV stickers for commuting. I have owned Audis. BMWs, and Acuras. The interior of this car is every bit as good as those luxury vehicles....perhaps even better. It handles very well. Super smooth ride. I might be driving a Ford, but it looks and feels like a BMW

Electrical and programming issues
At first this car was great until the brain went out. When I say brain I mean the center console navigation controls everything. It has the rear view camera, controls Bluetooth, ac unit radio so basically all the electrical components. It went out and dealership cannot repair it. My car has been in the shop three weeks now. If you want to pay for a vehicle that spends alot of time in the shop I recommend this car. If not buy a Hyundai or Kia cause they have a great warranty plan. Ford Corporate and finance we're no help at all. All you get is the run around because it's a electric vehicle and dealerships only have one technican at each facility that work on these vehicles. I'm a very frustrated and unhappy customer.
