Not safe and many trips to the dealer
My car lost power on the freeway when I was driving in the car pool lane with no shoulder. I have plenty of gas but it did not switch over. The dealer updated the modules. There seems to be a problem with the modules on this car as I have had it for two years and they have had to be updated numerous times for everything from the windows not working properly, not switching over to gas power and time of use charging option. I am no longer under warranty due to the mileage and am being charged to update modules that seem to "break" randomly. This car could end up costing me a small fortune just in updates. Seems like a money pit for me and a way to keep funds coming into the dealer.

So impressed with the comfort and fuel efficiency!
I purchased my 2013 Fusion Energi Titanium earlier this year, so it was already 11 years old with 80K miles at that time. Despite the age and miles, this car has really impressed me with its comfort, quietness and amazing fuel efficiency. In the colder months, I was seeing an EV range of 10-12 miles, but in the warmer months, it's more in the 20-22 range, which is perfectly acceptable. The more I plug it in, the less gas I use. I'm consistently seeing 60-65MPG as a result of driving in EV range, which is phenomenal! Most impressive, the transitions between EV, hybrid and gas functions are imperceptible, it happens so smoothly! I love the auto dimming mirrors, the easy exit feature, the LED exterior lighting, and the wonderful sound system by Sony. Ford had such advanced technology with these cars, it's too bad they only offer a few plug-in hybrids in 2024. I'm very happy with my Fusion Energi and highly recommend it!

Better EV Range Than Stated
I just took delivery of my Fusion about 3 weeks ago and as the weeks got warmer, my EV range started getting higher. Without the climate control on when I first drove off the lot, my EV range was 22 miles only. Now with the warmer weather, it's holding steady at 32 miles after each full charge. With the climate control on, I loose about 4 miles, but I still get more then 25 miles in EV mode. I got a lot more for my money than expected which is great. It's super quiet, smooth, sporty ride, plenty of leg rooms for rear passengers and the best part, sneaking up on people :) I would recommend this car to anyone especially to fellow car enthusiasts out there since we're so picky about everything.
2014 fusion energi
Car has been maintenance free. Great gas mileage with average to poor plug in time by owner. Lead footed it gets 50 mpg. 87000 miles with 10000+ on battery power. Drive it like a little old man, which I did and be rewarded with 60+ mpg. Two thumbs up.
