Modern and Roomy!

I rented a flex a couple years ago and surprisingly enjoyed it, having a lifted truck with a kid on the way it was time for something else. The flex feels just as big as the truck did on the interior, but way more comfortable.

Flex Rider

I have driven a Flex since they were available. Comfortable ride and easy to drive. The only draw back is climbing into the third row seat is a challenge needing to step up and almost crawl onto the seat. Other than that, I love the car and the space for cargo.

Received a good deal on a 2019 model with 30K miles. So many bells and whistles that I will never learn them all. Very pleased.

Better than I expected

Despite what others say about its looks, I've always liked the square shape of the Flex and its low proximity to the ground. I think it looks cool. What I didn't know was how fun they are to drive. I have an SEL model, not the Ecoboost, but man, it scoots around really nimble and quick. Which really took me by surprise, ...and other motorists lining up beside me at stoplights. Not joking. I've made a few people mad who thought their sports cars were going to pass me, only to see me pull away. My other cars are a Charger SRT and an Escalade (405hp). And my Escalade has the same effect. Most cars think Escalades are slow. They are not. Try to race one, and you'll be quite surprised, and usually embarrassed. The Charger is a no-brainer. Nobody tries it but Mustangs and Teslas. But the Flex?? ....nobody expects anything from it. Neither did I before I test drove it. Besides its quickness, it's just comfortable to sit in, feel, and drive. Even when you're driving at casual speeds scooting around town. It's fun. What annoys me is the electronics. They seem to come on and off whenever they like. First my headlights and caution lights stopped working, then my interior fan started turning off intermittently, then the rear door hatch kept signaling "Gate Open" on my dash, over and over and over every 30 seconds, even though it was closed. It lasted a week or two, then it was gone. Just about drove me crazy for that week though! What's also puzzling is the Bluetooth that works for phone calls, but not for music. If you're gonna install a Bluetooth connection in your stereo system, ....why would you not allow a music connection?? Just stupid. I noticed however, there IS an Aux line-in, hidden in the arm console. I have yet to try it, but I assume it's for your phone or MP3 music connection. But a strange place to put it, considering you'd have to leave the armrest cracked open to run a line to your phone on the outside of it. Strange. But other than that, I really love the car. When I sell it or trade it in, it'll probably be for another Flex with the Ecoboost AWD. Good car! ...I mean SUV, ...er, what the heck is it??

So far this car is a dream to drive ,and plenty of power to move when you need it.
