A money pit
Dumped so much money into my ford flex that I had to get rid of it or go broke , but I liked the room inside ,made it easier for my wife to get in and out , now I would never own nor recommend the Flex to anyone unless they had lots of money. It is one expensive repair after another. Owned mine for 6 years and it has been in the shop not less than 20 times . Was not sad to see it go .Had a hard time to give it one star.
Engine replaced at 109,000
The ecoboost is not perfected yet. Very nice ride for comfort.

Nice Alternative, Cool Ride!
I traded my 2008 Expedition Limited for this 2010 Ecoboost Flex and am extremely pleased. I love the style, retro feel. Once i drove it, it was over. Had to have it. Very fun to drive. There is NO Comparison to the regular Flex V6, this thing is a sports car (in heart, for a nearly 5000 lb ride). I would not compare it to my wife's BMW 3 Series but it does have loads of pep and the suspension improvement is very welcome. The AWD does a great job of transferring the power to the road. The car actually surprised me the first few times i punched it. It's pretty fast, certainly fast enough. Averaging 18 MPG, not bad given my heavy foot! Sync and Nav/etc is the best in the business!
LOVE IT!!!!
Had a Chrysler Pacifica for years, traded it in on a 09 Acura TL. Beautiful car, but just wasn't enough room. Went looking for a car that was comfortable, had loads of tech, and could carry people and boxes. The Flex met the bill and then some. It is like driving from my couch in my living room...and it even has its own refrigerator!! Sync is every bit as good if not better then my tech package from Acura. Build quality is top notch, and I can put 87 octane in the gas tank! Serious "Limo" space in the second row, and the auto fold seats are awesome. If you are looking at any kind of crossover, you MUST check it out. Way to go Ford!!!
Flexy ride
Love the look, feel and drive of my new Flex Limited. Ford truly hit one out of the ballpark with this car. Great as an every-day commuter, as well as a long-haul cruiser. My only complaints, and they're odd ones, is a crazy, squeaking dashboard, headrests that push my head in an uncomfortable position forward (and are non-adjustable) and the not-so- great gas mileage. I average 18 mpg and do mostly freeway driving. My A5 convertible mostly sits in the garage these days. I think she's jealous.
