2005 Super Duty Evaluation
I bought this truck to replace my 1999 F-350. This 2005 is basically the same truck but with the 2005 upgrades. The 2005 has some extremely nice features and some great safety features: The power sliding back window. The heated seats. The backup sensors. The built in trailer braking system in the Tow Command package (it is everything and more than the ads depict; the best trailer brakes I have ever used). The running light/turn signal on the towing mirrors. The heated/sliding towing mirrors. The lighted vanity mirrors. The speed volume control on the radio. The power passenger seat. The shorter turning radius. The 5 speed automatic transmission. A better drive over all.
Great Heavy Duty Truck
All in all a great heavy duty diesel truck that can easily perform just about whatever task you ask of it. She is powerful, comfortable, turns heads and is reliable as a stone.

Review of 2006 F-350
I feel it is a great truck for towing and hauling, However it need some more pickup in traffic. It is getting around 9 miles to the gallon, which is not bad for a 10,000 GVW truck. Overall I am impressed with this truck. I have always owned Chevy trucks and this is my first Ford. I do however miss the Chevy's power out of the hole.
A Kick to Drive!
I originally bought this vehicle to tow a fifth wheel toy hauler which never materialized. I decided to keep the truck mainly because I enjoy driving it so much. Since its diesel, it actually gets better mileage than an F-150 so it really didnt make a whole lot of sense downsizing. Im really impressed with the fit/finish of this truck and dont have any regrets whatsoever. The only drawback with this truck so far is parking which can be a bear at times.
Good Idea, Bad Engineering.
The truck in general is a good truck. But at 30,000 miles I had the turbo replaced. Now with 50,000 miles my gauge cluster, shocks, and CD player are being replaced. The front suspension is being rebuilt by the dealer due to a terrible shimmy at all speeds (TSB). The brake pedal can be pushed all the way to floor, which I'm told is normal for this truck. Only 6 months old and 50,000 miles, I wouldn't recommend this truck to anyone, BUY A DODGE. I was a long time Ford fan, not anymore. Luckily I'll be getting a new one at 200,000 miles
