Used 2005 Ford F-150 SuperCrew Consumer Reviews
Ford F150 Lariat Supercrew 4WD
Great truck. Drives great on the highway and fantastic for moving the kids around. Pulls loaded trailer with ease at highway speeds. 4WD system works good. I prefer the part time on the fly system. The leather seats are nice as well as the memory seat positions and the movable pedals. Highway feel is more like a luxury car than a truck, but it definitely is a truck when you need it. This thing is a work horse.

Have 16,000 miles currently with brake problems. At approximately 8,000 miles in for service and required rotors to be turned on front. Now having same problems with bouncing when braking. Will have evaluated soon at Ford dealer. This truck is too new to have rotor/brake problems. Also had rear bumper repair due to rear end collision. Bumper flange on frame was cracked and dealer suggested replacing frame at $5900.00 for relatively minor damage. Reason being the metal the frame is made of cannot be welded on. May be a great frame, not sure about metal composition. Seems that the cost to insure will be passed on to the driver as more of these frames have to be replaced.

I've owned a lot of trucks over the years and this is by far the best all around truck I've ever owned. The interior is top notch quality that rivals my wife's luxury SUV (I won't mention what brand, but it's a direct competitor). The 5.4 Triton offers the power I need, yet still gets very respectable gas mileage. Trucks I've owned in the past have always been weekend warriors, but this truck is my everyday driver, just because it's so much fun to drive. Its handling characteristics are very well mannered for a truck. This is my second Ford in 7 years and I haven't had any problems in 7 years. I will probably be a Ford owner for a long time to come.
Pricing
For year and mileage the price was steep, I realized in the south this is the case when you buy a used truck. The dealership did not honor the price from edmonds, they claim they were not aware of price break but they did show me what they had invested in the truck it was a fair deal but not the price that attracted me.
