2024 Ford Edge Consumer Reviews

Ford Edge Great Car
After leasing 2 Mazda CX9's I decided to try the Edge after studying reviews and checking it out for several years. It has met or exceeded my expectations relative to the fine CX9 in every way. The drivetrain and across the range torque feel nearly identical to the Mazda. The gas mileage is a tad better given the slightly smaller size. However the Edge has more body and storage space due to a less sloping design. I like the additional headroom and knee room , and the seats are as good as the CX. The infotainment system is easier in the Ford and the brakes are much stronger. The fact that I could get a heated steering wheel as a standalone option in New England was nearly a deal breaker! Like many manufacturers, Mazda forced me into a sunroof trim to get this feature. I have no use for a glass roof and much prefer the headroom and the $1500 savings. The fact that Ford was offering incentive pricing on the 2022 (and 2023) Edge and includes 2 free oil changes were 2 more influencers. Did I forget to note the better crash test rating by NHTSA for the Edge(5 Star Frontal vs 4 Star Frontal)? All in all a great vehicle that even fits better in my 2 car garage.

Top of the line Ford Performance
Love the style and performance of the ST package. Interior is what I would call casual luxury. It meets my needs. The V6 engine was my main reason for getting the ST package. I'm glad I did it is fun to drive and it is quick. Really no complaints except that I noticed the gas mileage is about 3 to 4 miles less than my V6 2018 Edge SEL was. Although 21 MPG is not bad.

The PERFECT car!!
The size is perfect, controls are logically placed, mileage is as expected, visibility is great, performance is fantastic, and it looks nice too. Shame on Ford for phasing it out and not including an owner's manual.

More than satisfied
I like the responsive handling, the cargo space and size. I will need to learn how all the technology works. Many bells and whistles.

What is Ford Thinking?
The Edge is smooth and quiet and comfortable, and rear seat legroom is great. Storage space is plentiful, and the balance of power and fuel efficiency is just right. My very few complaints, like climate controls being on the touchscreen, are minor and don't detract from how good this car is. I had a 2019 Edge and went to a 2022 Explorer, and now I'm back to the Edge. It may be Ford's best vehicle other than the F-150. I think Ford is making a mistake discontinuing the Edge, as evidenced by the flood of orders as the end date approached. I may end up buying this one at lease end.

Enjoying my luxurious ride!
Love that I splurged on the Titanium package as the upgrades are well worth it! I love my heated seats and steering wheel and the 10 point adjustable seat that remembers my perfect setting. I love my panoramic roof and the interior cabin is very roomy. The 4 cyclinder engine gets good gas mileage and has great power with acceleration. The only negative is my vehicle has the cermanic colored trim and wish it was grey or a darker tan. Hard to keep clean. Overall, so happy with my Edge and it is the perfect sized SUV for our family’s needs.

The 24 Edge Titanium gets a solid B+
The Edge Titanium is a decent SUV with very large amounts of cargo space for family gear, with generous leg and headroom for all. No one will feel cramped or uncomfortable in this vehicle. The Bang and Olufsen sound system is fantastic and visibility is great. It accelerates well with the turbo 2 litre/4 cylinder engine and is very smooth and effortless to drive. It is a bit on the numb side for driving enthusiasts but for the price point and for what it is, a family hauler, it gets the job done quite well. Fuel efficiency is pretty decent, especially coming from a 4Runner. As far as what could be improved, and I realize Ford is discontinuing the Edge as 2024 is the last model year, the HVAC controls should not be only accessible through the touch screen, which is gigantic and nice in and of itself, as it is distracting and not intuitive to try and drive and adjust the temperature in this manner. This needs more physical dials and buttons. The rotary shifter is obnoxious and also not intuitive. There is no reason to do away with the tried, true, conventional and preferable stick gear shifter. Overall, this gets a solid and decent B+.

Great SUV but dangerous to drive
touchscreen tablet is difficult to navigate and dangerous to try to adjust AC or heat or turn off the heat steering wheel that comes on in the summertime with a remote start. Thinking this should be 2 stars ... Sync 4 system is abit skiddish at times .. and i have to read manual through the tablet ???

Great for familys of 4!
Amazing car with all the bells and whistles for a family of four, plenty of room for car seats, plenty of trunk space. Great safety features, love that turbo engine. Love that I can start my car from my phone so that it's cooled down when I put my kids inside. Love the leather seats so it's easier to clean when my kids make a mess.

I keep on buying
I have had 2 of these cars before and I love them. It has all the niceties but it is the perfect size for groceries and gardening supplies and plants.
