Unhappy with 2024 Ford Edge SEL

I owed a 2013 Ford Edge SEL and loved it. I purchased a 2024 Ford SEL and HATE it. The design of the windshield wipers is dangerous. The right wiper pulls water up in direct line of drivers view which is dangerous to say the least. I dislike having to use the "controls" by touchscreen because it is distracting and much like texting and driving. The arm rest is too small and sits too far back making impossible to use the arm rest and reaching the steering wheel. The door pockets are too small and awkward to get to while door is shut. The backup camera is unreliable. This car is not a keeper in my book. I feel Ford "cheaped" it up and I will not be purchasing another Ford product once I am rid of this car.

Bought our 2024 Edge 6 months ago and have about 12k miles on it so far. I have likes and dislikes, but overall, we are pleased with our purchase for the money we spent. The car is comfortable for 5 people and a ton of baggage, as we proved recently. Cabin appointments are rather bland with lots of plastic bits, but that's not a problem for us for a sub 30k car. Ride and comfort are very nice. The roads in New England will test any cars mettle, and the Edge is a great performer over bumpy, pot holed asphalt. The car has plenty of zip on regular gas, but if you want the full 250 hp, you need to fill it with premium fuel. Power is not a problem, and if you want to play, shift to "S" sport mode. It wakes up the transmission and provides some excitement! Unlike many of the complainers on here, we have reasonable expectations for a $29,000 car and have experienced no issues with anything so far. Time will tell, of course, as the car is still young. The infotainment system can be difficult to use, but I attribute that to my age. Kids have no problem, so I'm sure I will figure it out. Don't like the cabin environmental controls at all. They are digital with no knobs and I'm just no liking it. Overall, I do not regret my decision.

I 2024 Edge gives a nice smooth and quiet ride. It is stylish and roomy.

Super uncomfortable seats. Fell like sitting on a wood bench or bunch of metal rods. After 3 days I had enough & went back to the dealer but they couldn't do nothing to change the car. Now I am stuck with it. I don't want anyone to go through this suffering that I am going through.
