This is the best car ever owned. Currently, there are 232,000 miles on the original engine, and the car is still running like new. It "swooshes" down the highway, and because of the reliability of this vehicle, the Crown Victoria of all other cars, it is the most cost conscious car of all. The yearly repairs amount to maybe $500, and that is only because of the wear and tear factor of driving 25,000 miles/year; oil changes, brakes, tire rotations, minor repairs. This is the best car ever. Buy one today!!!

Good solid car. Watch the plastic intake manifold (it splits and sprays water on the alternator). Also, the transmission can be faulty on shifting (it stutters between gears due to bad shift timing and faulty fluid).

Bought the car 6 yrs. ago with 52,000 mi. on it. It now has 167,000 mi. Overall it's been quite reliable. Although I have had to rebuild almost the entire front suspension/steering...shocks, all ball joints, linkages, etc. to the tune of around $1500.00 at around 125,000 mi. Not too bad I guess. Still runs and looks quite well but uses a quart of oil in less than 1000 mi. Plan on driving it till it drops at this point. No problem with the transmission so far!!

This vehicle is very comfortable, has a heavy feeling, stable on the road; gets near 25 mpg on hwy; has required very little repair (some electronic parts replacement); has some of the heavier features on the police equipped cars.

I bought this car two months ago. The car has the police interceptor package. I've fixed the handful of minor problems the car had upon intital purchase. It's fun to drive with plenty of acceleration and good handling for a car that size. Plenty of room for the wife and kids. Also a lot of metal around you in the event of an accident.
