2013 C-Max SEL was a great buy!
Make sure you buy from a reputable dealer. Lawrence KIA found a transmission problem and repaired it at no expense to us! My wife loves this car - SEL has heated leather seats, which are coming in handy now that winter seems to have arrived early this year!

Over 4 years I've owned this CMax.
This car is reliable and GREAT on gas!!! Highly recommend. It's very comfortable. My only complaint is that the resale value is low which I don't know why....but I plan to keep this CMax for awhile still.

It's ok but not great
I've got 73000 miles on it and I've had to replace my windshield 5 times it's to big to be sturdy I only had a rock hit once and it shattered the rest of the times it just cracked from the edge in. The worst was I hit a pot hole and it cracked immediately. Tires going flat all the time even though I replaced rims and tires twice. I love it but I won't buy again.

2013 Ford C-MAX SE...Too soon to pass Judgement
Traded in my 2011 Ford Fiesta SE Hatchback 7/31 and with just over a month of driving and less then 1000 miles, I`m only averaging 34 mpg City & Highway. I`m careful (not) to accelerate quickly and coast when possible and avoid lots of unnecessary braking still can`t get over 34 mpg. The Vehicle is very comfortable, peppy, and if I can eventually improve on the Fuel Economy numbers, I`ll be very happy. Got spoiled with the smaller fuel sipping Fiesta which (always) delivered 33-35 mpg city and 41-43 mpg highway from day one. PS: Updated Review on my 2013 Ford C-Max SE Well, with 40 months of Ownership and 35K driven all I can say is that my personal experience with the Ford C-May Hybrid has been absolutely "stellar". No Service Issues or problems and except for a few factory recall check-ups and oil changes, this vehicle has not returned to a Ford Dealership for anything! Fuel economy has leveled out to an average of 39.2 MPG combined City & Highway . Not bad considering a "heavy foot" and no effort to hyper-mile fuel economy and facing daily stop and go heavy traffic conditions in South FL with A/C always on High all the time. Awaiting Ford to update and to a complete refresh and I`ll be back for another to sit in my driveway along side my 2015 Mustang Convertible, yet another awesome Vehicle by the "Blue Oval"! Update: Mar. 2017. Ford C-Max now approaching4 rat in service and still no problems whatsoever. Factory recall for Battery Check and Door Latch Replacements but other then routine 6 month old changes, 39K and still one of the "Best" Vehicles I have ever owned regardless of Brand! Update: Mar 7, 2018, Finally said goodbye an farewell to my 13` Ford C-Max Hybrid SE. Just under 44K miles driven an still trouble free. Absolutely one of the best Vehicles I have ever owned despite CR bashing an its poor sales. 18` MY will be its last as well. Almost 5 years old an I never keep a Car longer then 6. Figure because of its Battery component an high tech hardware an software repair issue might be expensive after my Ford ESP Service Plan ran out next year. Traded it in for the new 2018 Ford EcoSport in SE Trim. A Baby Escape with a 3 cyl 1 ltr. Engine a 6 speed auto transmission. at 21K in "S" Trim, a great value using the Ford X-Plan bring it down to basically Dealer Invoice which only had a $400 mark up less the Dealers Holdback. Used the $500 Cash back Rebate along with an additional $750 Private Cash Loyalty Offer for a total of $1250 more off the Deal. Got 6K allowance for the C-Max which was fair. 2 "Incidents" both Front & Rear got the Car dinged by a poor CarFax Report. Still looked an ran like new, inside & out. Dealer retailed it immediately an it sold in 3 days. They got 10K for it. Not to shabby for sitting on their Lot for 72 hours an giving it a Wash Job an Oil Change? Hoping the new EcoSport runs as well an is as trouble free as the C-Max was. "Thats All Folks"!

So far love it!
I have had my Cmax for 15 days today! My best trip so far has netted 52.8 mpg, with an average of 42.7 mpg. I bought this car for the looks and how much fun it is driving! I can and have followed all of the hints and tips regarding driving a hybrid, and reaped those benefits, 52.8 mpg! I have also enjoyed zipping around town, and still am getting fantastic gas mileage. Will follow up in a few months!
