The truck is good to do what I need. Towing a 4100 lb travel trailer,atv and many loads of sand, gravel and dirt for many landscaping projects. I get 15city/19hwy real world driving with the 4.7l v8 235hp/300lbs torque. now a friend with and identical 1500 ram with 5.7l Hemi gets a real world 12 city 15 highway mpg. Now that said for about five more dollars per fill up his Hemi Ram made circles around the 4.7l in towing and just highway cruising simply put it's like comparing a Viper versus a Neon just no comparison so if you got an extra 20 dollars a month in fuel (my driving habits) just get the Hemi you will not regret it.

I've had an excellent experience with this truck. Installed and K&N air filter and FloMaster Stage III dual exhaust system, getting 3 MPG better on freeway. Build quality has been durable, no squeaks or rattles. Engine has been flawless.

I got the 1500 Hemi with 20" wheels after checking out Chevy and GMC. This truck had me from the moment I sat in it. I picked it up with 50 miles, two weeks ago and currently have 2200. The gas mileage I will have to admit could be better but it's a truck afterall. I currently average 14mpg and improving. The hemi has awesome power and handles beautifully under most conditions. Watch out when going over bumps in the road, the truck wiggles as some of the other guys were saying. So far so good, I am really happy with my purchase.

Pulls great, lots of power. Has a very comfortable ride with lots of room for big people. I've had limited off road experience, but it did well. The only problem I have is the amount of plastic used on the exterior. The front end is mostly plastic. The grill is very flimsy. Mine was just cracked by an encounter with a bug. The "chrome" is also peeling. It is a foil on top of plastic around the grill.

This is the 3rd Dodge truck I have owned but the first Ram. So far the entire family just loves the Quad cab. Looks great, runs great and is a fun truck to drive. We traded in our family car for this Quad-Ram.

Bought a used 2003 Ram 1500 SLT w/ HEMI. Options include 20 inch rims, trailer tow, fold flat rear floor, flip out mirrors, infinity sounds, compass. The truck had 15 K miles and was in perfect shape. I had researched the true truck market (Chevy, Ford, Dodge) and test drove each. I drove the Dodge last and was immeditely sold. The engineers that designed this truck did an exceptional job. The quad cab is pleanty big. I have had three large co-workers back there with no complaints. Alot of thought was put into the little things. Fold out mirrors are handy. Engine oil fill is large enough to hold a 1 quart bottle upright. Hemi Power.

So far so good. I am really liking my first truck. Its nice to be able to buy what you want, without wondering about how you are going to get it home. I didnt really need the full size truck but I am glad I bought it. The Dakota needs the Hemi!

Absolutely love the new exterior design of the new Ram. Interior is not as nice as the former, but is still nicer Ford truck interiors. New 4.7L 287 engine is much more fuel efficient than the former. You lose a little horsepower, but if savings dollars on gas is important this engine is for you. More room in the cab and the tough exterior design make up for the small details Dodge missed with the new Ram.

Love my truck. Plenty of room for a family. The 4.7 drives well, but wish it had more power. I have driven the 5.9 and can not tell a difference in acceleration.

Abosolutely love this truck. Bought in July 03 incentives were great!! Prviously owned 2000 Dakota wnt looking for another one and wound up with my Ram. The ride, room, and styling blew me away.

I thought the highway gas mileage at 11 mpg was the worst part of this 4x4 truck until the rear tire broke off the axle while trying to drive over a 6" curb. Then Dodge refused to warranty the vehicle and charge me $3400 to repair the axle. Needless to say, I will never buy a Chrysler product again. My 2002 FORD F350 is a great vehicle.

Having 2 adults (including me) and two kids (one in a car seat), to tow around, this is a very roomy and comfortable vehicle. The different engine options and colors availble make for an easy pick. The one negative is the fuel milage but please note that it is no different than anyother 4 door full size truck.

Been waiting for this truck for so long... ordered the Hemi (5.7 liter) engine and 5-speed automatic. With 20inch wheels and tires no other truck looks quite like this Dodge. Quick trottle response and more than average ride quality. Drove over 3 hours non-stop and was not uncomfortable at the least. Now I just have to find something to tow behind it... Oh, and as far as reliability, after 6 month only trip to the dealer was an oil change.

We bought new in Jul 02, Have 30k miles on it now and except for a instrument light bulb that has burned out, we have had no issues whatever with this vehicle. The truck is extremely comfortable to drive and the back seat, while not adjustable, is moderately comfortable for adults of average size. The truck drives and handles very well, more like a car than a truck. We tow a 24 Foot travel trailer with it and have had no problems doing so.

after looking at chevy and ford, dodge was by far the best looking truck. however, about a month after purchasing it, problems arose. the truck has been in the shop at least 10 times for numerous problems. first, the brake rotors warped, and we had them changed 3 times. then the wind noise is terrible at about 35 mph. we took it to the dealer and they suggested installing rain guard things ,which helped a little. you cannot ride comfortably with the windows down because the wind pounds the side of your head. the seats are like torture devices there is no comfortable position .the lastest problem is the transmission, which sounds like it is about to fall out whenever gears are changed.

I really didn't think I would buy a Ram, but there are no surprises with this truck. Once you drive it, there is no mistaking what you have. This truck does not disappoint; it is big, it is real and it works. Note: I really like the Hemi engine and the tight turning radius with the new rack and pinion steering. The quad cab works well and my teenage daughter enjoys sitting in the middle section of the front seat; it sits up a bit and she likes seeing everything.

I haven`t put too many miles on it yet,but so far its been great.I just wish the gas mileage was better since it seemed to increase in cost around the time I bought it.

I have been nothing but overly impressed with my RAM. It is extremely safe and I have not yet been able to make it go sideways because of the sensitivity of the 2WD and limited slip differential. I drive vehicles hard and harder when I test drive them. 20,000 miles in one year. The ONLY complaint I have is that there is no undercarriage protection, meaning if you go through a puddle, that water is coming up inside the engine.

This is my second Ram, I got one in 2002 that was a regular cab and now couldn't help myself and broke down and got an 03 quad cab. I love it, and I will never go back to Chevy or Ford! The handling is superb for something so large, and the interior is spacious, while the exterior is bold and stylish. My Red Ram gets more attention than any other truck, and I love it!

I'm in love with this truck. My dealer experience was great but the truck in general is just the best. It rides like a car and works like a semi. Much better than the last generation of Rams. My Silverado 2500 edges it out capability wise but then again this is a 1500 and can't be compared. In another year or two when I go to trade the Silverado in, I think I'm going to go with the Heavy Duty Ram.

I now have 40000 miles on my 2003 Dodge Larimie 4x4 Hemi. This is my 4th Dodge truck and this one is the best yet. I previously had a Dakota, a 95 ram with a 360 and a 1999 3/4 ton Cummins. I have likes them all but this one is the best built and best in the comfort department. None of my trucks have ever had to go to the dealer for any problems and I just had this one checked over and the motor and transmission were as good as new. Over all very happy.

My 2003 Ram 1500 Quad Cab has been a very pleasant surprise. I had never thought about buying a Dodge truck but these new Rams really caught my eye. I got the 5.7 Liter "Hemi" and the 20 inch wheels with the sport package. The Ram handles very well for big truck and looks great. The first two months have been trouble free. The Hemi engine is awesome!

Only have 150 miles but for what it is worth.....great to drive! I have the big 20" rims so I do notice a little rear bounce at higher speeds but overall I really enjoy. Smooth acceleration & great manueverability for such a large vehicle. I found the interior to be as nice as any other USA made truck. Rear seating is very comfortable, even for 6ft + folks. Gas mileage is per spec (averaging 14MPG in stop&go traffic on San Diego I-5 freeway), but what do you expect from a V8?

This is a nice truck. The interior is well planned, and it has decent storage behind the seats (unlike Chevy or Ford). The ride is smooth, and the power is good. No mechanical problems at all so far. Mileage is averaging about 17mph combo. Not great, but not as bad as some I've heard about. This is my first truck, and I plan on driving it for several years.
What a truck... quality, comfort, power.

My 2003 Dodge Ram has 44,250 miles and runs like it came off the showroom. I average 14.5 mpg in stop and go and can get close to 18 on the highway. These are on the conservative days i might add. Very economical for the power of this pickup. I have had no problems what so ever with my truck. The seats are incredibly comfortable, the truck is very powerful, the 4x4 system works like a charm, i hunt quite a bit and do use it. Just had my friend bill lose a transmission in his Tundra at 40,000. He paid 5500 more than me. Sad I must say. This is an excellent buy and a great vehicle.

The Dodge Boys have out done themselves this Time ! Dash is straight forward no bells & whistles you do not need. Straight Forward TRUCK ,4.7 provides plenty of power teamed with the 5 speed automatic you wont be sorry you bought this one.

Having had only GM cars and trucks in the past, this was quite a leap for me! I have been quite pleased with the Ram so far. The truck drives and looks great. I am impressed with the road manners and braking! The interior is sharp and functional, and the seats are very comfortable.

I've owned late models Chevy and Ford pick ups and this Hemi Lariat has been the tightest built to date. The bed doesn't shake over railroad tracks, the steering feel is good and it tracks true. Heated seats are nice on cold days and the HVAC system works well in all weather. This truck has great acceleration with the Hemi and the sound of the exhaust reminds me of the late 60s. This is not a perfect truck, but I don't regret my choice of the Dodge. I have had no problems, either mechanical or otherwise so far. The looks are awsome and you have a commanding view of everything around you.

This HEMI is impressive. The truck is fun to drive, and the HEMI gives me the power I need for pulling grades with a loaded bed and 4 passengers. I had a 98 RAM, same configuration, with the 318 and this truck is an improvement in every category.

Excellent truck for the price! It has every feature I was looking for on a tight budget. The 20's definitely turn heads. Wheels are much better than the '01 and back. You have to get used to the long truck feel, but that is only minor.

Excellent vehicle, reliable, handles well. The lack of fuel economy 11 mpg around town, 13-14 on highway, with small V-8 is a major problem.

I was a Ford man but couldn't pass this truck up. Built solid with a good design. Gas milage isn't great but it's average for a big truck. I love it and I'm glad I bought it!

I was affraid that the HP would be lost in this tank, but I was wrong. This truck can walk circles around my old Dakota R/T and about anything else on the road today

Beautiful truck!! A wonderful purchase! So much so That I just went and bought another Dodge Pickup (Hemi) after 35 years with General Motors products. There really is no comparison between the Dodge and Chevrolet. The Chevy`s that I have owned have rattled and clinked from the time I bought them and the Dodge`s have been sturdy. The Reliability between the 2 is also mismatched, The First Dodge has never seen a garage and has 65,000 miles on it in a very short time. The Silverado had seen the shop more times than fingers on both hands by this mileage. The looks are not even close.

I have only had this truck a couple of months but I love it. The 4.7 engine is ok. I love the ride hight and the looks of the truck. I drove the Ford and Chevy also but the Dodge is better looking and had more interior room. Also the best value.

I still like the truck after having driven it now for almost 7,000 Miles. The HEMI has all the power necessary for pulling the mountains in Virginia. Rotors warped at 5000 miles.

I love my 1500 Quad Cab. The only downfall is gas mileage, but that was expected. Who expects big trucks to get good mileage and still be able to do the same work? Nobody. If you are looking for better gas mileage, get a honda civic.

This truck is the nicest vehicle I have owned. The sound of the Hemi alone makes me want to drive it. Responsive, tall, powerful, it just looks like a mean machine. No regrets.

Bought this truck used with 39,000 miles on it. Own a small horse farm in North Carolina. I use it for that and driving to work. So far, a very reliable truck. It drives much smoother than you would expect from a full size pickup. The cab room is great for a regular cab and is very comfortable. Engine is smooth and I love the "growl" the exhaust puts out. Power and mileage could be better, but are not that bad. It does what I need it to do when I need it. Overall, I'm very pleased with it so far. I plan on driving it until the wheels fall off, which should be quite a long time!

I have had this truck for a year now. it doesn't have the 4.7, it has the 5.9. i love this truck. fuel economy stinks(about 9.9 in the city and 10.4 on the highway). stereo controls on steering column had to be fixed, door lock actuators on the back doors had to be replaced. other than that i really love this truck. tows really strong with the 5.9. it handles great on the street. a lot of room in the interior. looks great with the 20's on it. highly suggest this truck. always gets positive comments from other people.
