2003 Dodge Neon SXT 4dr Sedan (2.0L 4cyl 5M)

This year it seems that DaimerChrysler
has put a little more work into the
Neon's styling, especially in offering
the new SXT model which incorporates
many sporty features such as a cd
player, 6-speaker stereo, power
windows, power door locks, power
mirrors, aluminum wheels, keyless
entry and a rear spoiler standard at a
discounted price (compare price of
equally equipped SE model). I opted to
purchase the 5 Speed Manual transaxle
for the extra acceleration it provides-
almost 5 seconds faster to 60mph than
the 4 Speed Automatic.

Best Features

The sporty white-faced gauges were a nice touch as was the body color painted dash trim. The updated front and rear clip are very pleasing to the eye. The car feels very secure and nimble during turns and hard braking and the available In-Dash 6 CD Changer is a wonderful convenience.

Worst Features

The current 4-Speed Automatic transaxle is painfully sluggish and does not seem to properly exploit the engines power curve peak. The SXT also would have done well to have included dual exhaust exits and SXT front door badging.
