Perfect do-anything vehicle

I researched vehicles for about a year (looking at 2-door coupes right up to full-size trucks, because I couldn't decide what I needed!) before finally deciding on a Durango, and placing an order for a 2022 R/T Tow-and-Go. I've had it for about four months now, and I am incredibly happy with my choice. Every time I get in the Durango, every time I smash the pedal to the floor, every time I'm walking up to it in a parking lot, I smile. It has everything I want: aggressive good looks (especially from the front and side, with the SRT-style fender flares and wheels), amazing throaty sound (the Tow-and-Go trim has performance exhaust, and it is music to the ears), good solid performance, ride comfort, utility, etc. It has fantastic road manners, and drives like a much smaller vehicle; you feel very planted on the road, and it loves corners, despite its proportions. I could go into detail on just about anything on this vehicle, but I'll try to condense it into a pros & cons list for brevity: Pros: Amazing sound both in and out of the vehicle; no drone, either! Great performance – it’s not a Hellcat, but the R/T is no slouch! Sleek, modern, and comfortable interior – good workmanship and no rattles Great compatibility with Android Auto & wireless charging Pretty good stock speakers Very, very smooth ride – even with the stock run-flat tires Aggressive good looks Great pedal feel especially with the Brembo brakes on the TnG Plenty of utility; tons of trunk space with the third row folded down I haven’t had a need for it yet, but a huge towing capacity Cons: I wished they tuned it for a little higher on the horsepower; other Dodge vehicles with the same motor are rated for an extra 15 HP Gas mileage isn’t great, but that’s to be expected with a 5000+ pound vehicle with an 8-cylinder motor Everything else has been updated, but the rear of the vehicle is getting dated and could have used a touch-up Overall, I love this vehicle. I’m very happy with it, and I can’t say enough good things about it.

UConnect is huge problem

2022 Durango RT AWD. Excellent driving suv, but would not purchase one until manufacturing gets the UConnect right. Dealership update was worthless and customer service at corporate was terrible. Buy another suv and wait. I regret buying this one everyday and I am stuck with it.

4th Durango I've owned will be last

This thing has been nothing but trouble. First the button cluster that houses the sun roof control falls out on the way home from the dealer. Then we notice tje inside plastic wall panel in the rear driver side is falling off. Then we go to put gas in the car and the push to open gas lid won't open it is no mounted flush and is binding. They put black lug nuts on the black rims and used an impact gun guess what genius it took all the black off now the lugnuts are rust colored. Now the thing won't drift to a stop it will drive forever around 25-30 mph with no foot on the gas like it's in cruise control. Oh ya and the carpet is all buckled up. Then we take it in to fix some of these things they keep it all day just to tell us 7 hrs later they can't fix any of it u til they get parts that was 3 weeks ago and still waiting. I see a new Tahoe in my future....

Big Mistake

I had a positive purchasing experience. I was very happy with the car for the first month/1000 miles until multiple issues surfaced. It looks appealing and rides nicely. However, this car has serious electrical problems and is a total safety hazard shutting off randomly while driving. Don’t get me started on the Uconnect system. You will regret buying one of this SUV. Dodge really needs to get their act together. I can’t believe $50+ k for this car and it’s totally unreliable. Furthermore, service and repair is a total joke. I was told the local dealership in my area can’t get me in for almost 3 months and most of their staff isn’t trained yet on the new technology. UNBELIEVABLE, UNACCEPTABLE, NEVER AGAIN

16 months in, 16,000 miles, so far, so good.

It makes no sense to read reviews from owners who have had their cars for 2 or 3 weeks. It is far more helpful to get a sense of what the car is like over a year of driving. That being the case, I have had no problems whatsoever with my SXT Durango 2wd drive. In fact, I really like how well it drives, sufficient power, quiet smooth drive. I like the naturally aspirated 6 cylinder and 8 speed transmission, doesn't seem to hunt and peck for gears, smooth acceleration, and very quiet. Plenty of room for 6, and small adults can comfortably sit in the 3rd row. Seats are comfortable. The Uconnect works well enough. Averaging 23.5 mpg, mixed, up to 26 mpg on highway at 65-70 mph, only 23.5 mpg at 75-78 mph. This SUV has a "middle of the road" exterior design, that some see as dated, but I think it looks great. Having test driven every midsize 3 row crossover, I found this one drove the best, looked the best, and surprisingly was the least expensive. I do not regret this purchase at all.

I traded my 2012 Durango for the 2022 RT Plus with Tow and Go. I would have been happy with an updated version, I really liked the 2012. Certain things I expected, the tech, transmission, SRT suspension, etc. What I did not expect that in every way, this vehicle exceeds the previous model. It feels lighter, the suspension tuning and transmission tuning make it feel quick and nimble. The interior materials are far superior. In every way this is a better vehicle, so far, it it outstanding.

Drive a 22 R/T 100km+ per day. The thing is a monster. Upgraded from a jeep cherokee. The thing has so much space. Can lay down in the back for car camping. Everyone rags on the outdated look. However I always catch people looking and even got a complement today. The R/T is the perfect daily driver. It's a truck engine with mini van capacity built with some serious street appeal. I call it our "assault mini van" The thing sounds disgustingly devious when using paddle shifters and is a monster in sport. Not the fastest car around. AWD goes a long way in terms if actuakky putting the power down. I occasionally get a traction control indicator and the odd tire squeal. You can just throw this thing around. Its absolutley planted in the road at almost 6k lbs with wife and tools. Great to hold everything we need for work. Groceries and still room for the unborn progeny. It's a drivers car for sure. If youre considering one and like to drive. Just do it. You won't be disappointed. 🤙

PERFECT Full Size AMERICAN SUV for my family of 5!

I was driving a 2015 Honda Odyssey for 7 years and after it got totaled in a flood, I purchased this 2022 Durango GT AWD Sport Utility. Living in NYC, I believe this was the BEST and smartest car purchase I ever made. All those bumps rendered my Asian cars dead after 7-10 years of driving. The Durango translates every bump like no other, and as expected from a Jeep Grand Cherokee unibody frame. Let's hope the next 5 years will be extra smooth driving for me in NYC!

I have nearly 10K miles on her. It has been a fantastic vehicle to own, bought out in California and drove pretty much across country. It has been through rain, snow, sun shine, mud, and more. I carried 350lbs on the tow hitch and it handled like nothing was there. Gt is the trim to hit. I have black on black. Amazing. Great vehicle to own.

I had a 2019 durango R/T, The 2022 I now have has standard equipment which would have cost me about 3,000.00 dollars more for my 2019. AWD and class IV trailer hitch for example. The New U-connect system has required me to doa lot more reading(i.e. pairing my cell phone, not as straightforward as the previous U-connect system but it does allow you to swipe between screens and the display is improved

Nice looking, interior is nice as well. Not as much power with the v6 but I'm happy with the 295 hp. The v6 is bullet proof. The ride is smooth for a big suv.
