Nice Ride and Powerful
My wife and I looked at nine different SUV's before we discovered the new Durango. We would never have considered the earlier design of the Durango as it was too small but when we test drove this one, we fell in love with it. It handles very well, the transmission is smooth and the suspension gives a comfortable ride. We chose the SLT and upgraded to leather with the hot sound system and of course the HEMI. If you are going to buy this vehicle don't waste your time on the 4.7l or the 6 cylinder...you'll be happy that you went with the HEMI.
Perfect for us
Durango Limited Hemi is perfect blend of luxury and toughness. My wife and I drove everything in this class and the mid-size class. This was perfect size for us...not too big and not too small. We were replacing a 5-series BMW, so I was planning on a more painful transition. But we have about 6,500 miles on it now, and I have no regrets. In my opinion the Durango is better than the Expedition (nice interior but underpowered) or the Tahoe (nice power but dull interior), and the European and Japanese offerings just didn't cut it.

Hemi
This Durango has a hemi not the 4.7 other choice that was given to me. Great SUV I had a 2001 R/T and was very happy with it, but this one is much better
This things got a hemi!
I love the 04 durango no problems at all
Solid Performer
Primary vehicle purchased to pull a 6,000 boat. Comfortably hauls 6 people plus gear and the hemi pulls the boat well. Fun to drive. This vehicle has character and I'd buy another one.
